Ok girls, yes, did a trade on a treadle. It is Janney's Old Homesteader. Have lots to learn and wish I could give you a photo but if you can beleive this I am still looking for my plug for my camera to down load. My camera card doens't work in my little older laptop. So will keep looking to get pictures up. Only reason you girls haven't seen pictures of my quilts, the new kitties, just life in general. So irksome becuase I know it should have been on my desk and it isn't there. Now trying to figure out where the heck it went...this is not a good thing.
Karin, wondered if you were okay, sinus and fibro, that majorly majorly sucks. But for all that you sure are on a rev there girl, 150 blocks!!!!!!
Nope, I did not get my house cleaned before it arrived, yes, you are right Steph, I may just have to bomb that darn sewing room and start all over again. What a mess, right now it is sitting in the living room. Last night did not go as planned, are we not surprized by that at all. Yep, helped with the grands and hospital visit. Keep girlies here, then youngest grand girl woke up at 4am not feeling good at all. So much for sleep. Yep, took a morning nap but still feel like my butt was dragging all day. So can I sleep now....darn it no.........so figured I better catch up on here.
Hey Ruth, be a renegade girl. Get those chickens!!!!!!
Ronna, I think those thrift stores know you are coming and they bargins just have to scream out to you, I am here, I am here, don't forget me, I am here!!!!! LOL. You can't just ignore their cries, they would be so lost without you.....
Monica, yep, you need chickens and a treadle for sure......
Bonne where in the world do I look for a number, their is nothing on the machine, looked on the very bottom of the machine. No numbers. I give up for the night. Signed on for your blog....
I know I read so much more.
Autumn, great pictures of Wendy Rayne, I like the name.
Jess, ever our encouraging renegade.
Ok, going to go try and get some sleep, You girls have a good morning........

checked on eBay, the little Steiff bears seem to be worth $20-40 each. Not going anywhere, they can live on the wicker chest with my Boyd's mohair tiny bears. Don't want to take any chance on a dog deciding they should be chewed. Carol Sue, tried calling you on the way home, guess you were out. night ladies, time for me to hit the sheets. |

I went to grade school with a girl named Wendy Rain. How funny. Her sister was Misty Dawn. They had a brother, but his name was only Lee.
Glad you all are doing well.
This girl is tired.
I hope you are all gearing up for a productive weekend.

Good morning!!
Autumn~the girls are just precious. I love the name Wendy Rayne very different.
Found out I am going to be an auntie again. It's a little sad and happy at the same time. Circumstances are not the greatest.
I have been wanting another baby for a long time. Don't think that will happen anytime. We've talked about fostering. So many things going through my head.
I am trying to get some things finished here and move onto new projects.
Ronna~I love to hear about all your treasures.
Carol Sue~can't wait until you find that cord so we can see your new treasure.
Jess~try to get some rest.
Karin~wow~can't wait to see the quilt when it's finished.
Gotta go~my daughter needs the computer for school. I will be back soon.

well i got the kids all ready and then out the door and walked with them to the bus stop cause its sunny and beautiful. on the way home i looked down and found out to my surprise that i had two different shoes on LOL.
caleb is sooo cute he is actually playing with the phone and has it to his ear like he is talking on it. i think he finally realizes what it is truly meant for. i am off to sort thru yet some more clothes that do and dont fit anyone in the house. that and caleb is starting to cry at me, he is tired.

Autumn, Wendy is so cute!
Teresa, I hope you get some rest!!!!!
Carol Sue, I would love to get one, but I don't really have room for it right now and since we are going to be moving at some point, I would probably be best to wait for now! With all of the stress over the whole house stuff, hubby is about ready to get a trailer and move out into the desert and he would not be too happy if I brought more stuff home right now!

Sun is out, I am feeling almost human, had my meds and a big cup of joe. Yesterday someone posted somewhere (I'm so good on the details) that they were wondering if they could make market bags out of chicken feed bags. I replied to say I have made some with my big catfood bags, and I loved the thought of a chicken bag. She emailed me and asked if I would like to trade a bag for a chicken bag. Sounded ok to me, so when i woke up at three thirty this morning I made the besst catfood bag yet. I just finished putting the yoyos on the straps and I'm going to go to the post office in a bit. I feel so good, actually accomplishing something in one day.
Carol Sue, what is it with those frigging camera cords? I finally found mine, but now I've lost the camera! I would scream but I don't have the energy. I'm saving my strength for putting the strips together a bit later today.
Monica, I lived in Tucson when I was a kid, many years ago, before it turned into the Valley of the Seven-Elevens, and then for a few years in the seventies. I remember driving through Oatman a couple times. I love all the tiny towns in Arizona, but being a Mainer, I missed the seasons. A little too much sunshine for me (Don;t I sound like an old poop!) but the desert is so amazing, and Monument Valley and the Chiricahuas....so many beautiful places. My husband and I used too go out to the desert at night, I always wanted to spot an elf owl. For years I looked, and finally spotted one on a Safeway sign in Tucson. I'm glad they are adaptable.
Ronna! You are amazing, you must have a special sense for picking up all the goodies. And you love them, and that is so important. I am trying really hard not to go thrift shopping, well the poor selection always helps, but I think today I might sneak over to my favorite junk store after I go get my mail. Haven;t been there since November. I bet they miss me. Well, maybe not, but I have a real yen to go there today.
Yup, time to get in my car, listen to Ry Cooder singing Bop Till You Drop!
I hope you all have a good day. Mine is shaping up pretty well.

Karin, My biggest thing with the desert is that I desperately miss grass! I grew up in Ohio and I also miss the quiet snowy nights where you go outside and there is just this wonderful quietness after a new snow! I also really miss seeing all of the leaves change colors! Honestly, if I ever could, I would move back there!

Karin~Yeah!! I wish we could see a picture of the bag you made.
Monica~I'm hoping things get better with the home situation soon.
I need to get to the library. I have books to return and a few to pick up that are on hold. The library's web site is down so I don't know what came in. Tonight I have work. I am not looking forward to it but the check is nice.
I need to really clean my kitchen today and wash the floor. All the in and out with wood and the dog and it's a scary sight. I cleaned the living room floor while the kids worked on school this morning. They are just finishing up a couple of things and then we can head out.
It's pretty quiet here today.
Teresa~Caleb sounds so cute. One time I took my daughter to have pictures done and was in a hurry. When i got there I realized i had two different shoes on~not even the same color. I was so embarrassed.

Autumn your grandgirls are so cute. Abby just looks so proud of her new cousin.
Karin oh how I would have loved to see a pic of that bag.
I used to lose the cords and cameras now they must always be placed in same place.
Monica you could always grow some of that cat grass but I do not think I would like the dessert either. I would not miss snow though I don't think.
Today I need to cut some jar blocks at least cut so Karin quit hogging sewing fairies-wow you are doing a lot of sewing - good for you
I just realized it is Friday the 13th oh hope it brings me good luck Lol

Nope, couldn't find my camera. I have mailed off the bag, but it turned out so nicely this time I may make a couple more, and I'll take pictures then. Zan decided she would go to the p.o. with me so I was denied my junk store visit. Feeling thwarted, once again. Steph, I love the barnboard wallpaper, what a great idea, it looks lovely but you get to avoid splinters and all the interesting creatures and organisms that live in old barns. That dream bedroom picture is quite fabulous as well. What a lovely place that is going to be. Jeez I think I may need a nap today. One of my oldest friends, Dave, who is an artist, is always giving me these tips. He says, get up early, cup of coffee to get you going, another cup of joe with lunch, then a drink to calm you down, then a twenty minute power nap, followed by, yes you are right, another cup of joe. Then the pre dinner cocktail...you get the picture....I have known Dave for ever so long, he is such a wonderful person, no matter how wretched either one of us is we manage to end up howling with laughter after a phone call or visit.
Yup, that's it, 20 minute power nap large cup of joe call Dave

I went to arrange for 16 yds of manure/compost/peat to be delivered tomorrow. We needed too much to haul by the truckload ourselves. So tomorrow we'll be shoveling poopy into the new garden. Next it's off to the weekly neighborhood Stitch n Bi#ch. I'm trying to figure out what I want to work on there~last week I finished up my western wrap skirt.;)

Karin,
I know I fell in love with that *dream room* photo..I came across it on someones blog and they let me post it on mine since I really want to do that to our bedroom..you know I've got a super guy when you can get away with hanging glittery letters...LOL I always tell Thomas that is he is *in touch with his feminine side*...of course, it's so hilarious because he's this towering 6'4" muscle man! And a pony tail half way down his back...totally disgusting because he has this beautiful natural curl...mine is straight as a board.
Karin, I hope to meet some *Dave's* when I get settled..it would be so nice to have someone local to prod me forward plus has the same wicked sense of humor as I have. I'm manifesting them in advance to be there! LOL Your Dave has a grand plan for the day!
Bonne, you are gonna be a truck farmer! I can't wait to see this huge garden..what fun you will have this year...Do you have any help when you start canning or do you do it by yourself?

Ruth, I am excited about moving, even if it is temporarily into a trailer! It's too frustrating to stay here! Everywhere I look there are projects that will either never be done or never finished! I never wanted a fancy house just something nice and simple, and there are so many things that could have been done over the last 4 years if we could have just gotten the okay!
Carrie, When we get settled again, I am going to plant grass even if it's just a small patch! I grew up in the country and some nights when it would snow, you could go out and everything was so quiet and peaceful and just so beautiful! I don't miss the cold slush and driving in it!
Steph, Isn't that the way it goes with guys and hair! They don't do a thing to it except to wash it and it looks great.
