Hey, I'll take the hats with moth holes. :0)
I'll do some design on the hat to cover them.
Let me know the prices and the postage...
I've got about 35 hats at this point..
some are not perfect but when hung up the flaws
are not noticed.

steph, I'll ask my friend who works at the thrift shop to get it Friday if it's still there...she gets 1/2 off, so would be $2.50. yes, some embroidery would make them go away, not all the way through but can be seen close up. Has a cool rhinestone on the front that you'll like too. When I get into the corner of the sewing room, will take pics of all the hats and probably 95% can go to new homes. more than 3 of anything is a collection...I keep muttering to myself. I don't collect hats, so why do I keep buying them? no, don't answer, there's no cure for my illness.

Jess, good photo, he really is a nice looking rooster. He lived in a that tiny safe Nerf ammo box for several months before coming to live with you. Thanks for showing him off, he will strut even more for you now.

ok ronna
larry is gone...i know the back of your car is full of unfolded boxes....go get em.

fold em all up, tape the bottoms shut...you don't have to use a whole roll on each box.

go to "the room" grab an arm load.

get your camera...take a pic of everything in the arm load.

go to your comp...download the pics.....

email em to me with $ on them

i will post em on your blog

go put a blurb on farm somewhere about sale on your blog

then, get a sharpie and write the addresses on the boxes as the orders start piling in.

go back to "the room"...repeat from top.

haha, they're in the guest room, so he wouldn't gripe about them in the car. He loves to throw them away on trash day too. and paper and plastic shopping bags. better that than my 'treasures', so I keep that stuff overflowing to keep him happy. Are you telling me I have my work cut out for me this weekend? Okay, here goes, gotta get this started and now is as good a time as any. Have to go into Reno tomorrow and Friday, so will get it going this weekend. Have plenty of boxes at the storage too, they're safe there from spouse interference. Are you saying I over tape boxes? I know I do, but have never had one bust open in shipping either. Not counting the two $$$ tequila bottles that were broken but think 'someone' at FedEx helped that along. Empty bottles are worth $100, sure glad I insured them.

I tried to come visit last night and this computer wanted to act weird. How dare it interfere with my farmgirl time.

Ronna~can't wait to see all the goodies you put up for sale.

Sharon~hope things get better with your mom. It is so hard when they are sick.

Ronna~I would love an owlie from you. Put my name in.

Today it's sunny here but cold. The kids have their coop classes which means we are gone all day. The classes end at 2 and then off to Trader Joe's we go. I have to pick up a few thing there. I also wanted to stop at AC Moore because I have a 50% off coupon that I want to use for a Somerset magazine.
Taking my crochet along with me to classes today. If they don't need my help then I hope to get some dishcloths crocheted while we're out.
That's what happening here. What are you gals up to?

The chicks are here!! LOL I need to stop thinking about chickens and find someone selling eggs. I don't need more animals to take care of. Although I was wondering, do you all have troubles with predators. We have hawks, foxes and coyotes in the neighborhood~they're really bold even during daylight hours and people can't leave small dogs alone in the yard. I imagine you'd need a really sturdy coop since foxes are good diggers too. And coons, don't they steal eggs?

we have all of those as well.

put a floor on your coop and a lock on the door, that keeps everything safe at night.

i am putting a wire top on my pen...it will keep hawks away...as well as my dog.

bury the wire a foot down to keep out stuff as well, then, you can let em out of the pen when you are out to watch over em if you want...make a small chicken tractor to move around your gardens as well

Ok, I am finally emerging from an extended sinus/fibro episode. Finally got my pain pills yesterday, they never let me have them a day early, I guess I'm not trustworthy.
The sun is out. Always makes my day better.

I am cranking out ninepatch blocks to make a quilt based on one I saw for sale on eBay, I see no resemblance to it at the moment but at least it got me going. I need 63 blocks, because this is a strippy quilt, but I thing I've made over a hundred so far, I keep seeing more colors I need to cram in, scrap quilts really talk to me.. I like to have these little stockpiles of blocks too, of course it would be nice if I organized things better. Right now i'm hunting for the apron pattern for Carol Sue's apron. I know it is here somewhere....

Susannah went out to eat with a family friend at a wonderful little restaurant in one of the towns near by, and she overheard this wonderful conversation. Some older people were talking about visiting friends in a gated community in Florida. One woman said "They don't allow no kids under 55." I don't know, that just really made me howl.

LOL!!! "kids under 55"!

Sorry all the abusers have made it tough for the people that really NEED the meds. Same with getting lye for soapmaking~lye is used in the production of meth as well so it was taken off the shelves or closely monitored if a store did carry it.

Glad you're emerging from the fibro/sinus fog Karin. Heaven forbid you get your meds a day early...might turn you into a drug addict. sheeeshhhhh.
Will look forward to you blogging/posting your newest quilt endeavor. You, along with a bunch others here, are so very talented.

Yes, Steph did ask to buy hats from me several years ago, so will have to honor her request for "preview" option. Just like with Miss Wilma's little girl mannequin, I had asked first and she sold it to me. Not that it won't go live with Steph eventually, she would likely put it to better use than me. Right now she just freaks out anyone who walks into the guest room :)

Good afternoon, ladies!!

We're just back from classes and Trader Joe's. I love that place but could spend too much money there.

Alas~I found out from our city hall that it will take alot of moolah for me to petition the city council for a variance. I would need to win the lottery~kind of money. Of course, if I won the lottery I would be out of here in a heartbeat and buy me a 100 acres somewhere with no neighbors!!!! Isn't that ridiculous?! I don't get it. Nothing is free in this free country. All I want are some chickens. Not too many, no more than 10 at the most. Why is it such a problem? The lady I spoke with was very nice, though. She agreed that it's ridiculous. Many people have tried to have chickens and can't. She basically said just have them anyway and not make a big fuss. I would love this but if only you knew how horrible my neighbors are. I'm thinking they would complain. I'm so ticked and a bit depressed about this. Hubby says just give it up.

That's my rant!! Sorry ladies!!

Bonne~I got your email. Did you get an email from me?

Jess~How cute~Vincent is the star in the play. So fun.

Karin~hope you are feeling all better.

I think I may just do that. I won't build a really great coop yet but improvise for a little while. That way if they complain then I won't have put in alot of money.

Sound good?

yes, once you get the birds you will find many who have secret chickens, then you can all band together to change the rules, that is what happened here
