Anyone been doing any sewing?
I've got a little something in progress for my shop...Jess is helping(Thank you Jess)
trying to finish up this big quilt too...handquilting takes..f-o-r-e-v-e-r
started and nearly finished a vogue doll...but it looks kind of zombie like...just needs a craving for braaaaaaiiins...
I was going on a trip next week..then I wasn't....then I was...and now I'm not....hmm...so much for that right? haha
hmmm...think that is about it...
So....tell me what everyone is making!

Ruth, yes, he went to visit his dying mother in Hawaii and conveniently had a judge *seal* his birth certificate so no one can view it..a few of our soldiers have also taken issue over it and taken it to the Supreme Court...they do not recognize him as their commander in chief. They want to SEE and validate the birth certificate...
It's common knowledge that his momma brought him to the US from Kenya as a young boy.... Obama has an aunt living in section 8 housing in Boston and has been for years..she's been told to move out years ago and will not move out..she's also here illegally.
And I really take issue with all those that refer to him as "Messiah"...it's a total insult to the meaning of the word.

Naomi, I made another patchwork wrap skirt and am continually making crocheted round rugs. My next skirt is going to be a kitty themed patchwork wrap~just have to cut out the squares and sew 'em up~been busy getting the yard in shape this past week though. There are so many nice sewing machines available cheaply on Craiglist lately~people must be doing spring cleaning. Not that I need any more~just wish I knew someone locally that needed one as I could find several.

Hey, I keep meaning to tell y'all what I found several weeks ago...for those that remember the "Bear Dance" picture that Kathie has in her house??? Well, I found one!!! It's quite large..gonna hang it in the greatroom...what better location for this pic...since bears are all around that area.

Steph, pick up the 2 machines for $20. Can't go wrong there, you can always turn them if you don't want 'em. Isn't that just laughable though~showing the cases and no machines. People do that all the time with treadles. Show the table with the machine hidden. lol
Oh, yeah, you always get these people that think treadles are "rare" antiques. $400-$500 price tags. pffstt!! Then you find the reasonable people that sell 'em for under $100 like they should be.

Somebody has a 401 for $50 here with the desk. I've got a soft spot for those slant-o-matics. They are awesome machines for their time and you can find the cams on Ebay quite often because they fit so many of the Singer models into more "modern" times. I still wouldn't pay $100 for one though. An old machine would have to be something special to pay $100 for it~there are too many floating around for half that and less if one is patient.

A tip for anyone looking for a treadle. When you type in search words, enter "sewing machine" not "treadle" , because almost everyone butchers the spelling. Trendle, treddle,tredle, tredal, pedal, peddle, peddal.....seen'em all.

Bonne, I had a slant-o-matic years ago..had all the cams..my now EX decided to make it along with a half dozen other old machines of mine disappear.
