65 here too! We've had such a mild winter~hope the summer isn't another scorcher, but not counting on it. Remember the floods in Jess's neck of the woods last year? Did everyone get a peek at the Apron Swap apron I got? It's just so damn cute I can't stand it~

Bonne~I took a peek at the apron. It is so darn cute. I love it.
We didn't have a mild winter but I sure hope that spring comes soon. It is supposed to get warmer this weekend. Today is in the 40's so I can't complain. The nights have been in the teens though. I hope the warming trend stays.

Happy Dance, new baby in the camp!!!!!!! So glad this one came and right on time. Gotta go look at pictures after this.
Ronna, Daddy kitty got a cold and pasted it on to Mama kitty and babies, we not looking good on Monday, vet on Tuesday morning, meds and feeding every 2 hours since Monday, thankfully 6 hour stints for night, they are doing a better and actually played for a bit this afternoon, are eating more and looking so much better. Thank goodness.
Karin, I planted bee balm last year for the first time, have wanted some for a while, but will have to move it to a bit more sun this year. My lilac old purple bush has some broken branches on it. My vine maple is bent under the snow still, hoping it makes it okay. Nope, no darn green out there yet, but trust me I am looking every chance I get....lol. It snowed for a bit today but didn't stick. Then we say a peek or two of sunshine.
Yes, I dream of buds on the trees, a wee bit of grass turning green, right now everything is still brown, putting together my raised beds with chicken pooh from our wonderful chickens, adding soil and other lovely components, what great soil that is going to be to keep adding to garden and flower beds with fruit added to them, along with herbs. Yep, well used flower beds. I love the color they have, need to add a little more of this and that and see what makes it this year. I have to trim a couple of branches on my old deep purple lilac because they are broken off, my vine maple is still bent and buried under the ice and snow. Sure hope it makes it, becuase I sure miss them from the other side of the mountains, one of the reasons my honey found one for me. He would cement the yard and paint it green but does some of the grunt work for me cause he knows I love it. That man can drive me el nutsola sometimes but them I think of the things that he does do....lol. Men can't live with them sometimes and certainly don't want to live without them at others....lmbo.

Awww, sweet new baby girl and look how happy the parents are with her. Glad she didn't have too hard a delivery. Congratulations to all. My stepmom was telling me last night about her mom having her 8 children, each one the result of some failed birth control. With the last one, probably about 30 years after the first, the Dr insisted on a hospital delivery instead of the home birth of the other 7 and a C section was needed. That was in about 1951 in Kansas. She had her tubes tied at the same time and told the Dr if she got pregnant again, he'd better plan on keeping it as she was tired and worn out from so many babies. This was in Kansas. |

well, planning things never seems to work out for me lately, we were meant t9o head to the movies last night, were just about to dash into twon in time when we realized massive loads of wet snow from the roof was blocking our path...Got that shovelled up, but by then too late for the movies.
Started on my blocks for the farm swap, but having problems with my eyes too at the moment, more of the fibro collection of ailments that seem to be at full boil lately. I went to bed around midnight, but could not get comfortable, so I was up all night, reading , writhing, taking pain meds, doing crossword puzzles, I even made myself a hot toddy, hoping it would ti0p me over. Nope. I feel so sore today, but I was determined to get my blocks done for the swap.
Got one batch done, took a nap, woke up with the sinus headache from hell back from a one day layoff, decided I couldn't enjoy a movie tonight either so I put my shoulder to the wheel and cranked out the rest of my farm bl9ocks. I had been thinking I would make half of them appliqued, but my hands aren't cooperating and I would never have finished them, but I am very happy with what I did. a I used a block pattern called the mother hen and her chicks, and then a churn dash block (one of my all time faves) Assuming I can walk upright in the morning i'm headed for the post office again to send em out to Carrie.
What a sweet picture of Autumn's new grandbaby with her beaming parents.
Jeez Bonne, is it the altitude that makes you such a magician at all your sewing accomplishments? Sorry about the cat hair, I tried to get it off but was too distracted to wash it, my machine demands a sacrifice of a few small items every load, and I didn't want to lose any. I'm so glad you liked them, and your skirt looks fabulous!
Now the only immediate thing hanging over me is an apron for Carol Sue, but she's got my number, I think I'll take a break from sewing for a few days And I have to find the pattern, it was right by my machine...a familiar story.
My sinus cement impacted head is starting to throb again so I suppose I should go fling myself in bed while I can still climb the stairs...g'night, Karin
