Gals, yesterday, I wound up doing my mom's yard work because the gardener never showed up and I could not get in touch with the other gardener. The weeds were tall. I was wiped. Last night, my left elbow hurt, so basically no sleep as the pain medicine did not help.

Thank goodness the elbow is doing better today, but it is hard to catch up on lost sleep, with constant interruptions.

Ruth! Did I miss your birthday? I saw Ronna mention something...anywho...Happy Birthday to YOU!!

Hey there Kim..nice to see you!

I would like a tiny tiny greenhouse....very tiny since my gardening will be in a few raised containers in about a 12x12 foot area.

ohhhhh the garden but sure is itching to get feed for me. I can dream about it. Now you want a laugh, I literally dreamed about putting my hands in the warm dirt, and watching some of the green grass come up. No, I don't need spring at all, I am dreaming it......good grief.

Container gardens are fun and do produce that is for sure.

Ronna, staying home a good call when the roads are icy. Wow, you iris are showing some green, nothing so far showing green here. But I keep looking.

Way bummer about your grow light Jess, especially when you want to get those seeds started.

Hi Kim

Ruth, hope you had a good dinner and time with your hubby.

Steph a green house to have fresh veggies during the winter, ohhhh yummie is all I can think....trying to figure out how to maybe do one here, but think we are just too short on space....

ok, off to feed kitties again....they are doing 100% better than 24 hours ago, wasn't going to lose one more of them boys. Yes, two boys who have homes. There tummies are full now that helps too. You should see the menagrie ont he couch. The dogs and cats and kitties are all curled up together. One around the other around the other. Good thing they all get along, life would be a challenge her if they didnt'.......could you imagine.....yikes......off to warm up food and feed.....

Jess~I have been trying to see if it is warm enough to start the seeds in it. During the day while the sun is shining it seems very warm but once the sun goes down it's gets cold, especially overnight. I think I will germinate my seeds in the house and then near the end of March/beginning of April I will put them in the greenhouse. I don't think right now they could stay out there because it's been in the teens overnight. Maybe in your area it's warmer and it would be better.

The sun is shining today. We are in the 30's and some of the snow is melting. I will be happy when it's all gone.

Karin~I hate to hear how you are always in pain. Wishing you some pain free days so you can enjoy them.

Sharon~You have alot on your plate now. Take good care of yourself.

Ronna~thanks for the birthday wishes.

Steph~my birthday is Friday. You didn't miss it. I was just telling everyone the plans hubby had made for us to go out.

Carol Sue~I hope you are feeling better these days.

Teresa~I hope those migraines have gone away. Get some rest if you can. It's tough with little ones.

My older brother and I are born on the same day, three years apart. We are the first and second child. Isn't that funny?

Well, I should go clean my bathroom. I just got home from gym class. It was the last one~whippee!!! Now I can stay home on Wednesday afternoons and get things done.

I just signed up for the spring craft swap and the new tea cozy swap. It will give me time to get those done.

Stephanie~the pattern for the greenhouse in MJF is not too big. It's pretty small~that's what we have.

Happy Birthday to Tina's son!!!

oops, I was ahead of the day for Ruth's Bday, better early than late. Now anyone who missed the posting has been reminded :)
Sunny but cold here today, maybe mid 30's. MOst of the snow missed us, just a light layer this morning. Enough icy roads and snow towards Reno that I stayed home. My car doesn't know how to ice skate, nor does it's driver. Not going to change either, I've paid my dues.

Well, I was planning on dooing some sewing this evening, but Zan and I have decided to go to the movies tonight. Our local theater is only open five days a week this time of year, and they seldom get anything we want to see, but I want to go see Slumdog Millionaire. This time of year I will go to the movies just for the color.

Ruth, thanks for your good thoughts. I'm doing ok today, just lots of shoulder issues, but I know letting go and getting sucked into the big screen will be wonderful for me. I like to just fall for the movie whatever it is, there's something so swell about the big screen.

No news from Autumn? I do love to see these brand new people...

Tomorrow is my quilting group, I haven't been for a long time but I might go tomorrow, probably be good to talk with a few adult humans. I have felt quite trapped at home by various circumstances.

Thinking about spring and reading about everyone's garden plans have really cheered me up, I always entertain these fabulous plans for my garden, they seldom come to anything, but I love thinking about all the bits and pieces of things i'd love to put in my garden, Zan helped me poant a lot of stuff last summer, we put beebalm in the lower part of the yard, I havve some right by the kitchen door because I love to see the hummingbirds, but it's gone very wimpy so I'm hoping the beebalm will take over ...we planted lots of perrrenials in my new garden in front of the new part of the house. I got the most beautiful mallow plants I'd ever seen, they are a lovely red violet and Zan got a stripy purple one too, I love all the old fashioned flowers. Last year the horse chestnut trees I planted here for my mother about twenty years ago finally had blossoms. I loved it,

Okay, I better stop babbling, got to figure out what to make for a quick supper before the cheap thrills of the big screen...

Just got done going and kissing the little birthday boy. He is so funny. He was touching things he shouldn't, I told him, no no, he grins and pulls his hand back. As he does, I realize what he is really after, a biting biscuit that was underneath the stuff. I had to laugh cuase there he was going for the food and wondering why in the world Nana told him no. Yep, as soon as I moved the stuff he grabbed the biscuit and grinned big and started chomping. With the plastic on it, lol. Yep, removed the plastic and away he went. Kids are so much darn it fun.

Feed the kitties again. They are starting to get a little bit of the hang of it. Slowly but surely, it will be great when I can put a plate down and they can just eat it for themselves instead of the syringe. More time and that will happen. Just glad they are looking so much better after 24 hours.

Now if I could just get the energy to find my sewing room, now that would be a great giftie to this girl, but like the kittens I have to be patient and do a wee bit at a time. Rather a good reminder for this girl. I just want to find my darn cord so I can download a few pictures and havne't found it yet.....where in the world was that safe place that I put it. Drat buckets.
The hunt continues....lmbo. You know how you put something in a safe place and can't figure out where that safe place was....yep, that would be me.

yep birthday boy is finally one and on the move today.

my head is doing better but not all the way their yet.

ok i thought that city bank got bailled out by the government and guess what they are doing but coming after us with a lawsuit cause we havent been able to pay what they wanted. and we are gonna have to declare bankruptcy. what really makes me mad about all of this is the fact that we are that we made under 25,000 last year and they have over charged us for years and they get bailled out and then turn around and sue us. grrrrr..... credit cards are just like loan sharks.

Can't wait to see your fabric from Karin.

Karin~i hope you enjoyed the movie. Have fun at the quilt club.

Carol Sue~A little at a time and you will uncover that sewing room. IF you try to do it all at once you will get overwhelmed.

Credit cards have gotten people into trouble for decades. Or should I say, people have gotten into trouble using credit cards~isn't the card that swipes itself. It's all about personal responsibility. I'm all about not depending on anything but myself~when I have the $$$, I buy. Don't have the $$$, go without until I do.

No word from Autumn yet~hope it's not a 2 day labor story we hear. ((hugs)) to her daughter.

Caleb, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Teresa, I am so sorry to hear about the troubles you are having! I hope you get everything worked out!

I have to say the effect of the economy are starting to hit closer to home! My mom has lost a bunch of her retirement money and my brother-in-law was just laid off after 22 years on the job! I really don't understand what is going on in this country! The government is spending money like it grows on trees! There are some of the most idiotic things in the appropriations bill at a time when we don't seem to be needing to spend money on extras such as $200,000 for tattoo removal in Mission Hills,Ca and 1.9 million for the Pleasure Beach Water Taxi Service in Connecticut! What is going on?????

I don't understand it either, Monica. It is absolutely crazy.

I don't use credit cards anymore either. I only use it if I can't use anything else and then pay it right away. I have learned the save for it or don't buy it method. My parents were big on cc and I learned that way and had to dig myself out.

Last weekend we went looking at new bookcases. Two of ours are falling apart. We saw some we like and now we know how much we need to save up. Until then we'll keep using those old ones.

Autumn~can't wait to hear baby news. Praying all is going well.

Karin~I got the wonderful quilt book today. Thank you so much. It's great. I can't wait to get started.

I'm still wondering who this populus is?! I'd really like to know where all this money he's spending is coming from?!

Jess~Did you get all your sewing done?

Monica~Have you put some of your thread in your Etsy?

Teresa~Any festivities for the little birthday boy?

I have to run and do some grocery shopping. Check in again in a bit.
