Carrie, Okay, I'm with Sharon! You are wearing me out too! I did get most of the clean laundry put away this morning! I have one more load that I am hanging up in the front room on drying racks! Sometimes I wish I had a dryer! I did get the kitchen cleaned up good yesterday! Today I am cleaning Isaiah's room!

Sharon, It's raining here too! We are supposed to have this weather all week!

Ronna, Hope you feel better!!

Ruth, What kind of fabric are you looking for? I hate to say this, but I have fabric in 5 out of 8 rooms in my house including the porch!!! I am glad your bread worked out good! I made a cake for Isaiah's birthday party Saturday and I thought it was going to be a disaster when it started running over the pan because I doubled the recipe and it ended up being too much! It seemed okay in the end and everyone at the party just loved it! I have never had so much trouble with this recipe! I even had trouble with it when I made cupcakes for Isaiah to have at school and all the kids loved them! His teacher was excited that they were home made!! I wouldn't use it, but they are sooo yummy!!

Where is Naomi and Tina??? Are they moving now???

Thanks Monica, just a normal event for me with chronic sinus issues. Have a lower back molar crown that's broken and the gum/root is a mess. We think it might be adding to the problem, have an appt to have it replaced soon. A fortune is in my mouth, just hope I don't end up losing all these $$ crowns. Larry thinks it's stupid and I should have had them pulled and gotten dentures years ago like he did.
Strange, I've had delivery issues with my newspaper recently. Instead of doing the automated system today, I waited for person to see if others in this area are missing their paper once a week or so also. The lady I spoke with was in Biloxi, Mississippi-at least it wasn't Bangladesh with someone who speaks "perfect English" but does not comprehend anything you say.

Monica,
I would like some fabric that I could use for making aprons and I would like to try and make a small quilt. I don't really have any fabric. Just some scraps.

I hate when you do what the recipe says but it doesn't work out.

Naomi~Is the house on the market? This is a tough time. Are you all cleared out and packed for now?

Don't worry ladies I just go gunho when I want to diddly dally at fabric and thrift stores.

Sharon ((Hugs)) Men sheesh

Ruth Chickens awesome and Ya to Jess for winning

Monica You are putting me to shame with your stash

Autumn Glad you got it and like the fabrics

Well I did behave spent a whole five dollars on thread and at thrift all I found was a measuring tape that measures yardage up to 8 yards even though they sell fabric by meter sometimes you need to know a 1/4 yd or 1/2 or whatever. Just thought it would be less stress on my brain. Lol

Ronna~I was talking about Monica's cake. I can't count how many things I have made that didn't turn out. A couple of the recipes in my Bread Machine Bible~I did exactly what they said and the bread could have killed you. It was too hard. I have alot to learn.
I can't wait to get your starter Ronna.

Okay, got it now, Ruth about Monica's cake. Who is the author of the Bread machine bible??? I'm thinking it was one of those with numerous bad recipes. If you spot the Bread Machine Magic books, they are well tested and all good. One of the authors was on a bread list years ago and I got to know her fairly well. I'll see if I have an extra copy. Your box should be there anytime. Had to travel the furthest..or is that farthest?
Very Cool Naomi, will look forward to seeing photos.

Ruth, We need to get you going with your own fabric stash! Are you making full aprons or half aprons? Let me know and I will send you big enough pieces! My hubby will love you for it if I clear out some fabric!!
The recipe is a lemon loaf cake from a 1948 Hamilton Beach cookbook that originally came with the Stand mixer I have! I changed the recipe to make it orange flavored by adding orange juice instead of lemon juice! When I did the cupcakes they came out totally flat across the top and Olivia even said "look mom they have cookies on top". With the cake I put a cookie sheet under the pan until it quit dripping while I was baking it! It didn't bake well this time, but it is so yummy I won't throw the recipe out!

Carrie, I think I put me to shame with all the fabric I have! A bunch of it I got when Walmart here closed the fabric department! Couldn't pass up %75 off! Then a lot of it I have gotten from friends and my mom sent me about 12 bolts of cotton a few years ago and part of that went to my churches sewing group and most of the rest has been used up! I end up buying a lot of bolts if the price is good and I really like the fabric so over the years I have accumulated quite a bit!

Monica Gifts, sales, and purcasing by the bolt all save money so you are out of the hall of shame. Lol Funny though how you never have the right color or fabric I have yet to figure that one out.

Thanks Monica!! I actually want to make some of both. Do you want to barter for anything. I would be willing to trade with you. Just let me know if there's something you want.

Yes, Ronna~It did have to come all the way across the country. I can't wait.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

Ruth, I always ask at the counter at Joanns if they have any coupons in the store and quite often they do even though I didn't get them in the mail or email - Sat I saved 40% on my copy of Apronology!

I have the Bread Machine Magic books and they have alot of good info in them as well as recipes - I got my sister a copy for Christmas used on Amazon this year - it was either that or keep looking stuff up for her...

The book I have is The Bread Lover's Bread Machine Cookbook. It has ok recipes in it but it seems when I try them in my bread machine they don't come out good. I will definitely need to look into the Bread Machine Magic books.

Sharon~I still have to get Apronology. I was waiting for the coupon to go pick it up.

Well, you all have been busy with good things today. I had to grade state tests today with a bunch of English teachers. Not too bad, but I would rather be in school with my students to be honest.

I got the main part of my million pieces quilt done. I put it on my blog. So far, it looks very cool to me. Using up the fabric is a lot of fun, but it will take years to use most of my stash up.:)

Hope everyone who is under the weather is feeling better tomorrow. I am just recovering from something horrible myself!

Yay, Suzanne for Bread Machine Magic Books. Lois Conway is a very sweet lady and they tested a lot to be sure the recipes actually worked. Probably out of print now. The French bread recipe in one or more of them is very good. Don't think there was a dud of any I tried. I see them occasionally, should pick them up for sharing. A Donna ???? (think it started with a G or R) wrote several bread machine books that were hit and miss in the 90's. Cook's Illustrated magazine and books, also Cook's Country..have never had a recipe not wonderful from them.
Oh, is this the apron thread???? :)
No wonder I never get that sewing room in order, came across three 1911-1919 Ladies Home Journal and Pictorial Review magazines and had to look through them. Now they're with the 1860's Godeys, that was really a big accomplishment NOT
My two newest vintage quilts came today, need to take pics and send them through my private photo posting lady, Jess.

Carrie, I know exactly what you mean about the right color! I have been working on a double wedding ring quilt and I was looking for a particular shade of pink that I just didn't have and my hubby thought I was nuts when I said I didn't have what I needed!

Okay ladies! It's ****SNOWING***** at my house!!!

Ruth, I have probably just as much as Monica. That is one of the things my husband was complaining about. I do have a lot of fabric, but then I use it. If you ever need any just let me know.

You can look here.

http://custom.countrynmore.com/

I don't have all of my fabrics up on my custom page, but at least you can see what I have up and if you need something, just let me know.

Suzanne, I wish there was a Joanns near me! I would love to get a copy of Apronology, but I can't bring myself to pay $20.00 with shipping and there is no place anywhere around me that has it!

Monica, I have never seen it at our Joanns but I was at my daughters this weekend and they had it - with their 40% coupon I got it for less than 9.00 - I was happy!

Ronna, I got her the first Bread Machine Magic and it is out of print - thus the used copy.
