Then today I got mail from BONNE! What were you thinking???????

Jessica is the fiend and unfortunately her box went AWOL ~ we couldn't have you not spinning!
Something I haven't been doing~been too busy using up current yarn supplies~I'll get bizzy spinning come spring though, so I'll have a hefty stash for next fall/winter.

Thanks everyone for commenting on my blog about my mom. My sister saw that and was touched. Hugs to everyone.

Hi, everyone - just home from my daughter's this weekend, lots of wedding talk as it's in July. Went the thrift store and an antique store but didn't buy much - prices just seemed too high. The antique store had one treadle but it definitely wasn't in working condition. It was a WEED, and very small, I never saw one that small before. I did pick up another drip pot, I have 2 at the cabin but wanted one here for when the power goes out - I hate instant coffee...Went to the bulk food store and got lots of goodies! Wish we had one around here.

Linda, I am glad that you had a good time on your date. That is so sweet that he held your hand and gave you a little kiss. I am wondering too,"How did he like the spaghetti?"

Karin, you do have a lot on your plate. I know how things can get so overwhelming. It is so hard to be without a car and then to have your daughter get so sick on top of it all, plus your injuries. You take care of yourself.

Jess, I am with the others. You shouldn't be responsible for that huge bill.

Dh noticed that our water heater is leaking. Oh My! As it goes in our household, it will be a while to get the old water heater replaced. Dh wants a tankless water heater, and there is a lot of details for installation, plus they are so expensive.

I CAN go to fabric stores now!! I've been LIBERATED from the nagging "you don't need any more fabric, notions, etc. etc. blah blah blah".
ROFL!! Donate your surplus and get renewed! Only this time around I'm going to be lots more fussy~it's got to really "grab" me.

you have to stop shopping ronna, you could seriously clothe all of us, our children, our beds, provide toys and books and educational material, and all we need to decorate as well. how are your minis coming.

i'm staying away from fabric stores carrie, so you gotta tell me about ur adventure....i will live vicariously through you. And with that bill we just got for the condo, who knows when I will buy anything else fun for me to play with.

Well lets see my wants are everything lol(totally crazy) my needs right now are really just picking up my threads. I used to be a shop aholic but I have tamed that beast.
Now I mostly lookout for vintage stuff and it has to be cheap.
My quilt blocks for swap I am actually using up from leftovers.
Throughout my years I have always crafted and self taught myself including quilting-just read.ripped out. burned and moved forward so now I am doing crafts that I can use for the house or for gifts. I to have many ufos requiring my attention but between moves and our situation it is not moving to fast. To me the best thing is I am still learning things and trying new things thus improving where need be. One of my newest self taught crafts was learning edging and I accomplished that. For me this is living.

Good morning, ladies!!

We are working on school today. Yesterday was in the 50's here, too. All week it is supposed to be in the high 30's to high 40's. Most of the snow is melted.

Tomorrow~I am going to the hairdresser and cutting my hair. I am cutting most of it off. My hair is very fine and it is getting tangled and breaks off easily. Time to cut it. It will grow back healthy. I will try to post a picture when it's all cut off.

Linda~glad to hear you are enjoying your dates.

Carrie~I have taught myself most of the crafting I know, too.

I am so disappointed~Joannes has not had a flier in the paper in the last couple of weeks. I usually get theirs in the mail and haven't gotten that either. I like to use their coupons. I want to buy some fabric.:( I just don't want to pay full price.

Have a good one~I'll check in later.

Monica~Thank you for asking about my son. He has a really nasty cold. He was achy all day yesterday and his eyes looked terrible. That's how we know he doesn't feel good. He is a bit better today.

I have some stuff but certainly not enough to stock a craft store. I want to go shopping but I was hoping for coupons in the paper.

Ruth, don't you get the Joann ads in the mail? I get them online too, sometimes they can be printed for use in the stores.
Jess is right, my shopping has to come to a halt until I have control of everything I've already bought. Probably have more quilt books than a quilt store. Spotted one duplicate alreayd, likely more. Will be offering them plus the ones I don't need to keep for a low price soon.
Creeping crud has me today, actually yesterday too. Snowing in Reno, headed this way too. Don't know when my grandson will be flying out, but he'll need some new Carhartt jeans and boots and more.

I do usually get them and this time I didn't. I wonder why. The mail is such a pain lately.

O.K. Carrie, you are wearing me out just thinking of all that you have done so far.

I started a load of laundry and have all my eBay packages ready to go out. I need to pre-shrink some fabric for a special apron order, then cut and sew.

Dh was in the doghouse yesterday. He was a complete jerk, and just in a all round rotten mood all day. I did put him in his place when he yelled at me. He was yelling at everyone.

Forgot to say, it is pouring hard again today. We are to have rain for most of the week. I feel sorry for the people who had the fires and now the mudslides. I feel like we are under a waterfall again. The rain is solid.

Carrie~you made me feel like a slacker. Well the sun is shining here and it's beautiful. Still only in the 30's but that's still good for us.

I have washed my sheets and mattress pad and am getting ready to put those back on the bed. I have another load in the washer and a load of things to iron. I will be doing that next. I am working on a couple more things to send in the mail. I will have to post pictures soon.

I got my Baker's Creek and Meyer hatchery catalog in the mail. I am really hoping to get 1/2 dozen chicks this year. I have my seed order ready for SSE and can't wait to plant my garden.

Autumn~It sounds like you are in farmgirl mail heaven lately. You deserve all those wonderful treats.

Guess who is the winner of the giveaway on my blog?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Jess~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It was funny. I had my son pull a name from a bowl and I forgot to take pictures. I had him to it again so I can take pictures to post on my blog. I figured Jess was the winner and I would just take the picture of him pulling a name. Well he pulled her name again the second time.LOL~ I put pictures on my blog.

Yesterday, I made the best loaf of bread in my bread machine. The funny part is that I didn't follow the recipe. I realized too late that I didn't have enough bread flour. I ended up using some whole wheat in with the bread flour and adding some gluten. I changed the recipe a bit and everyone said it was great. Yeah!
Gotta get busy.
