Jess...sending it to the owner of the flooding condo I hope. It will probably be stuck in litigation for months, but they surely should be responsible. |

Jess ~ I hadn't seen her blog before, fun! I haven't dared count how many jars I have. Maybe that'll be a good project for me and the 5yo that's into counting lately... For some reason I think I should already know who she is since was tagged for a meme by someone I do know... Oh wait, her omelay link in a recent post is one of the people I "know." The mom and husband each have their own blog, it's so neat to read their adventures from the different points of view. I remember when the mom had the 2nd out of her fourth years ago.

Jess~Sorry to hear about that horrible bill. I love that pantry~amazing. I can't wait to can this year. Going to check out your blog.
Linda~Definitely follow your heart(gut). Go with your first instinct.
Ronna~That sounds like it works out great~best of both worlds. Can't wait to get my package.
Bonne~thanks for sharing that. I am going to print it. My husband is 1/2 native american. Doesn't know much about it because his family never cared. They have some papers from the tribe they're from and other stuff and hid them from him.
My sil came to visit today. She just told us she was laid off in January. Can't find any work. this is getting so bad. I made her some bread stuffed with chourico. She loves that and I always make it for her birthday.
Right now I'm waiting for hubby. He went to pick up some dinner. Yeah!! No cooking tonight.
Check in later~maybe. I may just fall asleep. I woke up at 6:30 today for no reason.

Jess, yes I hope someone else is responsible for paying that amount..I wish I could say we had someone else to pay for our new heat/air systems..probably around $10,000.
Thanks for posting the link to the home canning blog...geesh...she's got 1400 jars of stuff canned...wow! She's the lead woman in canning now...sorry Lanna..LOL
Linda, Thomas and I know an older couple, he is 78, she is 72...no heart problems and they say Viagra is a wonderful thing...Decades ago it seemed that by the time a man reached 60 it was over in the bedroom due to the prostate issues that come naturally. Not anymore though..so there are great things with the advance of drugs..and to think that Viagra was first studied and tested as a high blood pressure med..LOL Had to be funny to hear the guys coming in and telling the researchers what was happening to them in addition to lowering their pressure.
Thomas just turned 62...life is great!!! You know what I mean! And I think that us coming together at ages 46 and 58 has enhanced our lives..."never to late for a childhood" and we are certainly having one.

Never too late for a "Happy" childhood, that's even better Steph. I've said that many times, usually when I've bought another Toni doll or Boyd's Bears. Or when we do stuff we could not do the first time around (no, not that) when we didn't have two nickels to rub together. |

well, I think i am done for today. Last night Susannah (that's my girl,Zan) started really feelinghorrible and was puking and coughing and generally suffering. at about two in the morning I asked her if we needed to hotfoot it to the e.r., but she said- no way in hell, I need some sleep. so this morning when she woke up and started vomiting I called my sister in law and she came to the rescue. Lots of people at the e.r. but she looked so wretched they took her right off. When she gets sick it can go south pretty easily. She's had type one diabetes since she was ten and there was a time during her teenage years when I knew every one who worked at the hospital we were there so many times. Very dehydrated so they finally found a vein that worked. Her blood sugar was off the charts ...they decided to keep her overnight in the ICU, she'lol probably come home tomorrow morningg. My sister in law lent me a car so I was able to come home midday and sleep for an hour. I probably won't sleep tonight either. That's what crosswords are for, late night worry vigils. Got Zan a few magazines, grabbed her brother before he had to go to work and we visited with her a little tonight, and then I had to get Martin where he needed to go, and I managed to forget the most important one, the stuff for the dishwasher, so I dragged myself through the store one more time, and came home to be greeted by the herd of kitties, they were annoyed with me I guess, they count on a certain amount of something or other. Today it was belly rubs, then food. Now they are upstairs galloping around.
I have to rest up this weekend so I'll be ready for the insurance battle starting Monday as soon as i track down the right person to talk to. My brain hurts just thinking about it.
I too found the woman with the octuplets to be pretty frightening, it doesn't sound like a very healthy situation, and as people have pointed out, it will be the kids who lose out in this little circus.
I think I'll go make a cup of tea. that sounds good.

Carrie, I am the same way. Those poor little deer. I hope that nothing happened to their mother. I could go on my soapbox about hunting as well, but this is not the place to do it.
Whenever I see a dead animal (other than a squirrel), I cry. If it is a cat or a dog, I think about the family and how they would miss their pet.

Sharon-I got no probs with hunting as long as it is eaten and following regs. But those poor babes were way to young to be alone but maybe they have some kind of instinct. Trouble is they are all through town and on highways but humans are crowding them out. See they feed off fresh flowers at graveyards here and stupid people do not pay attention.
Bonne ya and instructions right there-going to try that next winter |

I'm here. :) Karin- I hope that Susannah gets well soon. That is scary. And your car? What is it they say in the Godfather? Oh, yes, "Go to the mattresses." (I have never seen The Godfather. I got that from You've Got Mail! lol) I am looking forward to seeing all of your mini aprons! I am sure they will be adorable. I love mine that hang in my craft room. I've been busy writing another blog for my friend's quilt shop. I just wrote the #2 post. We are bartering writing-for-fabric right now. Totally something I can live with! Ha ha. It's here if you're interested in reading it. www.athreadofred.blogspot.com I'm off to prepare my Sunday school lesson. Nothing like waiting to the last minute! Good night, sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite.

Hmmmm without hunters there would be no $$ going to the Division of Wildlife~hunting licenses fund it, you know. Also, without harvesting the herds, overpopulation occurs and that means starvation and disease within the herd. Licensed hunting is a well-oiled machine for the benefit of wildlife because their natural predators have been reduced or eliminated.

Karin, I know you are wore out..hugs to you and Zan. Let us know how she is doing and you too! I'm with you on dealing with the insurance stuff...it seems to be so hard to get any benefit out of them but they are glad to take your premiums from you.
Autumn, you are gonna have fun with the spinning!

Good afternoon!
I came home from church a little while ago. I left bread baking in the bread machine and when I got home I made some lunch and choc. chip cookies.
My son is not feeling well. He stayed home with dad. My husband just went out to get him some medicine.
Karin~So sorry to hear about your daughter being sick. I hope she gets better soon.
Bonne~I want to buy some yarn to make some rugs. I need a new one in my bathroom. The washer tore my other one apart~literally.
Autumn~have fun at your daughter's shower. Enjoy your farmgirl mail.
Karin~If you wait until the last minute at least the lesson will be fresh on your mind.
I hope you are all having a good weekend. I'm going to sit with a cup of tea and look through the Sunday paper.

Oh Karin! Now I know where the name Zan comes from. I wondered if it was a hippie name :-) Sorry to hear about her sickness...you take good care of her. It is nice to see how you love each other. I don't have that with a mother. Your car situation is so frustrating I know!! Wow...you have lots going on...hope you get a little rest soon. You and Zan need prayers ((((((Zan and MOMMY))))
Jess, what a huge bill!! Don't just pay it...take them to court. What a pain in the neck that must be.
Everyone else, I'm reading just can't always remember who is doing what.
I had a nice evening with Rick. He is 61 yrs old so I think that's a great advantage to me. He is so quiet. We watched a guy flick that ended up too gory...I was hiding my face. yuk...we didn't know what it was about until too late. So then the next movie was The Commitments...about a young Soul band from England....fun and good music. A nice way to end the night. He held my hand and gave me nice little kiss. It was perfect. He is my first texting friend...so I feel like a teenager...texting on cell phone (it has keyboard).

Karin, I will say a prayer for Zan! I hope she is feeling better!
Ruth, I hope your son feels better!
Linda, Sounds like you had a good time! I am glad you appreciated my comment about the mace! I was just being silly, but I was afraid after I wrote it, that maybe I shouldn't have! Did he like the spaghetti?
Well, girls I am cleaning out my house this week and working desperately on getting organized!! I am so tired of getting so far behind! There are a few of you that I owe things to, please be patient with me! I am getting stuff packed up this week and mailing out stuff till I run out of $$ for postage!
I hope someone is warm today, because it's very cold and rainy!
