I'm so unenthused about sewing lately~I'm trying to use up the fabric I have presently, but I'm so dang
sick of it all, that I just want to give it away and start over.

I have to make the tea cozy and work on the apron for the apron swap. The machine will be busy.

Bonne~that's hard to believe. You did so much in such a short time. Maybe just take a little break~work on something different and then you will have a new outlook.

I'm going over to my neighbors in a few to see what "crafting supplies" she has for me.
Then I'm going through my stuff and purge. Have 2 donation trucks coming this week~I'll let them deal with it. lol
I DO need a fresh outlook.

Bonne~Purging is good. Definitely helps to get a new perspective. In the last year I have taken countless bags of craft things people gave me to the thrift store. I kept it because I felt bad but it had to go. It wasn't anything that I liked and it made me not even want to do anything. I keep purging and having fun with it.

Bonne, i thought maybe you were out lassoing treadles to make sure we all had at least one! How nice to make some sourdough bread, that's the good stuff. I'm going to get some of Ronna's starter in the spring when I have totally organized my kitchen (pardon me while I collapse into a laughing frenzy) as if that will ever happen.

I got peas on my shoulder, just got back from town, got a ride with my old friend Linda. Of course I dropped my list in the driveway, but I managed to get the most important stuff.

Yes I need to go through my minis before I send them out, I think I've got a couple stinkers that need to be tossed. I'm hoping to be able to go to the p.o. on friday....and i don't want any verbal abuse from Bob.

I'm glad your package arrived Jess. It is so irritating when things go astray, this house is in a town with no post office and when my mother oived here years ago she had a rural route address that had the town of Belfast for the address. She ordered some plain white curtains from somewhere , and the post office sent them to Belfast, Northern Ireland. When they finally wended their way to my tiny mother, they were spilling out of the package. Only took about 4 months. Years ago when I was married, before children , we had this weird old mailman who would crash his car near our house and then come in and have a cup of coffee while he called for help. then he would insist he had to go out and guard the mail, which consisted of total crap. There was a rumor that he was an arsonist on the side.

Had a little chat with the insurance company, and I'm going to ask the auto place to give me a printout of all the stuff they did, this 7 week repair routine iis wearing thin...I'll keep you posted...

Jess, I love the Rosie! What a hoot!

Ronna, I look forward to getting that book, what a treat. You are so good to send it to me...

Frozen peas have done their magic, so I better get something accomplished today, then I will feel better.

Oh, my goodness~ vintage feedsack & embroidered pillowcases, plus some vintage Halloween stuff. For pete's sake a clown mask that I probably wore~that one should give me good nightmares~cookbooks, jingle bells and crafting felt~now to find somewhere to put it all.

Jess's kiddos make those hats look adorable. I am just so glad they finally arrived!!!

Such great pics.

Karen~that story about the mailman is too funny. A little weird and scary. Hope everything works out with your car.

I guess I expect a certain amount of resistance- I mean lets face it- most people don't homeschool. Sometimes I just move on,absorb the "uglies" from folks and move on- but when it comes to opportunities I want my kids to have access to them. No special treatment just the same.
Like I said before- we are still in the beginning of clearing a path for others so it's expected- just not fun.
Pioneers have to keep focus and overcome obstacles- part of the deal.

Blessings,
Autumn

Ruth, Where I live we don't have mail delivery at our house! We have a free box at the post office in town and my next door neighbor runs it and she is a sweetheart! I am going to buy a postage scale because it costs less if you print your own labels and it has tracking so in the end the scale will pay for its self! It will also come in handy weighing yarn!

Karin, When I was a kid our mailman's name was Bud and he was the coolest! We used to give him Christmas cookies and it was never the same when he retired!

I got a digital scale on Ebay. Originally for weighing oils for soaping, but I use it all the time for click 'n ship.

Oh, boy Autumn!! Yes! Yes! Actually, I DO listen to the big hair bands of the 80's on occasion. lol

Wrong reaction Bonne!!!!
I was waiting for a sharp reprimand for our common disdain for all 80's things.
You'll have to adjust now- no 80's in that pkg!

Just keeping you on your toes. lol
Anyone need a pr. of railroad striped OshKosh overalls? They look very small to me.
Small adult or teenaged kid. Patch near the crotch but otherwise look to be in good shape.
