Get um, Karin! Y'all know I'm in the frame of mind to "eat" anyone providing a (bad) service these days. You let them know you are NOT a stupid woman...paleez.....

Autumn, that acceptance policy is an insult...they are making a homeschooled child test higher because they must think they are not as educated as the child going to a city/county school everyday...and sadly, we both know the state of the public school system....so many kids graduate from High School and cannot read or write. Maybe you can make progress along the way to see this policy changed...it's descrimination against Home Schoolers..how are they gettng away with that?

I heard on the news a few days ago that USPS is discussing a 5 day a week delivery. I had to get a private po box near the cabin because the mail that was sent to the mailbox for the cabin was sent back as "unknown". The last postmistress I dealt with was in the small town in Alabama and she thought she was the God of Mail Delivery and was getting away it..payed a fortune for a po box there since she wouldn't give me delivery to the house. So this time I'm using one of the UPS stores..they are cheaper than USPS.

Well, I guess the past three post are my venting for the issues we are having..LOL

Suzan Well all of Canada is not like the Yukon I am close to Idaho about 2 hours away just moved here and happy to see sunshine. I am serious there is like big time melting going on. Believe me I put my time in the north with up to 15-18 feet of snow and -40C Happy to leave it behind. |

oops, one to Naomi and Tina also. Steph, we went over this before...if you can't get delivery to your house, you should not have to pay for a post office box. There are still a lot of houses in the central area of town without postal service who have boxes. Used to be the "meeting place" when everyone came to get their mail. Karin, not having a good padded envelope, I'm just sending the whimsy quilt book and you can let me know when you want to try the sourdough. |

Bonne~Are you matchmaking? I don't know if Tina is ready for that yet.
Ronna~Thanks~can't wait to get my package.
Jess~That would make a great tagline.
Steph~A lot of places still discriminate against homeschoolers. They should be happy that parents are taking the responsibility off of the school department that is already overwhelmed.

I just went back to look and the final count is 32. I have a couple extras and a couple of duds I have to trash. OK! I'm so glad they're done. Now I need to email Kathie for her address and send them on their merry way tomorrow. Of course, I hope they don't go the way of China like Jess's owlie hats did.
