ok.. FINALLY have been able to get the hateful little Gremlins to give me back right to the camera.. For the time being anyway.. They are allowing me to post some picture they said.. SOOOO I'll have a couple Apron's.. nothing new.. but we'll have a couple pics anyway!!!
And....
My 'Signature' Apron's!! So.. there..

oh.. you know what.. that wasn't TWO Apron's.. but ONE actually..
That's a reverible.. that was one i sent to Katie!
ok.. well I didn't even have to tell you all that & you would have thought i showed you two dang Aprons!
ANYWAY.. that was all that was in the camera.. or..
All that They would allow me to have last night anyway..

| No, the gremlins are in Calverton now! Kathie, sharing some stuff is ok, not those little gremlins though! Love the aprons. They are such a great style. Can't wait to make one myself. I have the pattern you sent me in the sewing room just waiting. |

I REALLY love making this one..
The original one that I have is from my Great Grandmother's Sister..
( So.. My Great Aunt..)
I have always loved the Apron.. the way it fit.. & the way if fell just right..
I like the retro look to it.. but the fact that no matter what fabric i choose for it.. It Always seems just perfect in this style too!
& it IS unique too.. Not one you see all over the place..
I think all this makes it even more special for me....

Kathie.....I LOVE IT!!!!!! And it is my birthday....(hint hint) No.....actually it is not my birthday....I am lying....but I love the apron.........tres magnifique, mais oui!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! Ok, I am going a little overboard.....it's just that I am so happy to see somebody else's aprons besides MY OWN!!!!!
Am at the farm...no sewing this weekend......whaaaaaaaaa!!!! Am going to spend tomorrow with my horsey beau "Mo".....he's been such a great boy lately!
But....will have my fanny plastered to the machine on Monday for sure!!!
PS....KATHIE>.....my birthday is in march....that gives you plenty of time to start sewing....LOL!!

Okay....busted. The one you made me is my favorite....actually it is the only one I ever wear!!! I don't even wear any of my own....how weird is that?
Oh yea, I saw the pics of the mini aprons......how cute are they!!! I cannot wait to get the Halloween ones!!!!

Okay- I am still working on my first apron. The skirt came out all wonky so I had to rip that seam and re-do it, and I don't know what I was thinking- but I forgot to make a finished seam- I just hemmed the cloth so it frayed. So I had to trim a bunch of annoying threads and I am re-sewing the exposed hems to make it be nice and finished. I wondered if that was what I was supposed to do when sewing...but the directions didn't specify and I was worried about seam allowance- Oh well! :D I promis a picture later today!

| are you putting any kind of trim or backing on it? didnt you say it was out of some asian type brocade? this is the one you have been talking about for a couple of months, right? alee...you have endless amounts of sheets, use one of the sheets and make a backing, or that brocade is gonna drive you batty dear! |

I did Somewhat Cheryl.. It's bits of an old Apron that my great Aunt had given me.. She'd made it So I'm guessing the Apron is from the 40's maybe.. (one of my Grandmothers Sisters..)
so i drew it up.. & have just made my own pattern from it..
