Just thought I'd join in & post the link to the halloween apron I made myself last year. I wore it to work on Halloween, dressed as a kitchen witch (with hat, dish-cloth tucked into the waist-band, and a wooden-spoon in the pocket. Here's the link: http://dragonflysmusings.blogspot.com/2006/10/my-first-apron.html

I've loved seeing all the apron pics everybody is posting here. Makes me wish I knew how to sew more than a straight line. LOL

Thanks. I'm making a couple of half-aprons for a Samhain exchange I'm in on a yahoo-group. I need to get to work on them, though, as they're due to be sent out in the next couple of weeks. *wry smile* My exchange partner on that group is actually getting 2 aprons, a mother-daughter set using this black fabric with spirals & ghosties that glow in the dark. The group mother, who organised the exchange but is too ill to participate this year, is getting an apron done in an Autumn grapes & leaves pattern more in keeping with her Italianate kitchen. But, like I said, gotta get to work. Just not feeling very ambitious right now.

Kati, you will do just fine. We all need a break once in a while. I am taking a break, as my mil arrives tomorrow, and son needs help.

great cat bed...and cute kitchen witch apron...
lets see..I finally finished a small purse I started last Monday...finished crocheting my rug I started....4-6 years ago..it only turned out to be about 2.5 feet in diameter....um..started another purse...and got to joanns in time for their columbus day 50% off clearance fabric sale..I got..5 yards of dainty purple posy(another 50s dress!!)...3 yards of a beautiful gold and black brocade, 4 yards of the cutest gren, blue checkered w/ flowers and butterflies fabric, and a few remnants, a treat for mom the penny rug book she had talked about getting....and had an awesome lunch at Olive Garden...yuuummy..(basicly what happened was, I went to lunch with my grands, joanns was right by it and grandma said "any stores you want to go to?" "weeeell..Joans is right there...." her reply..."Sure, lets go after we eat!"...So it is her fault!...hehe

What lucky cats to have such cushy beds.....Hmmmmmm, could I make one for a 130 lbs Newfie????? She likes to sleep in "caves".

Nay......glad to see you back here....always miss your projects.
Kati....welcome.....love the little witchy hats on that apron! Bonne...you are the queen of Halloween Aprons.....I like that one!

Well, I had quite the different weekend than planned. The plans were to donne my RenFaire creation and meet Jess in Ohio for the Faire. Unforseen (sad) circumstances demanded that I stay at the farm to take care of the critters this weekend, so I stayed there and scooped poop, picked apples and brussels sprouts, processed beexwax, etc, etc, etc.

I am posting this picture for you, Jess.....I wore my Renfaire dress at the farm yesterday in your honor....(I am still waiting to see pics of you in your dress!!!!!!!!)
