Well.. Look at how we run.. Bonne's a Leo.. before her Steph is our Cancer.. I'm a Gemini.. ( yes.. I KNOW.. No one saw THAT did you!)
Jess.. are you Aries .. Taures..? & Bev.. Aquarious.. or am I miscounting.. I'm only guessing back now.. trying to figure the exact days while sitting here.. but it looks almost like we could be our OWN Zodiac Wheel! Interesting huh?

so...at the risk of sounding really really dumb...what does the whole Aries, Leo, etc have to do with anything?(the whole zodiac thing is one I havent spent much time on..hmm...I'll just do some googling I think...) and with that out of the way....I am Aries...
and shoot...I didnt send Jess anything for her birthday...darn...next year then...:P
Jess, wow...sounds like a lovely little mess...hope nothing was ruined...I do love those old houses, no matter how hard it to heat/cool, or how many repairs they need..they have such character...

Interesting stuff the Zodiac...only thing I ever read about it was my horoscope in the paper...rofl...
I like to read about different things, to see what captures peoples interest so much...be it religion, politics, whatever...I like to know a little about everything, and alot about a few things, but I still dont know anything about alot of stuff..which stinks.....haha...

Naomi, I guess astrology is not nearly as big a deal these days as the crazy wild and free hippie late 60's, early 70's...when some didn't do anything without checking their chart to see if it was okay. Somewhere in this house, I have a complete chart that was done for me. Pages and pages and I didn't understand most of it...or really care that much. I'm a Cancer moon child, July 16th; the cancer crab does grab on and hold on to a whole lot more than necessary.
Speaking of sewing machines, you ladies do know that along with the $$$ Bernina Artista with virtually no miles, I have two featherweights in the closet of the sewing room. One was found when a new owner bought a very old house and it was in the storage shed-she only asked $100 for it, knowing it was worth a bunch more. Bought the other from our own farm girl Gloria/Berries. Don't ask why, cause I don't have a logical answer as to why I needed a second one. My daughter has my treadle, which I got in trade for an 8 track tape player in 1973. She also has my MIL's old Elna, which was used to make many clothes over the years...all hers and most of the 3 boys and granpas. And she doesn't sew a stitch. Stepmom had my 60's era White that was a workhorse. I'd failed to ask her to keep it in the family and she loaned it to someone who moved and took it with them. I hope to inherit the treadle in a large square oak cabinet that my Dad found in a barn and restored-with permission of the barn owners. Sooo, you suppose I should get my butt in gear and get to sewing really soon? I do think this group will kick start me; something has to!!!

Wow Jess, we don't have a old house like you do, but I can sympathize with all the repairs. They do not usually get done around here, because dh doesn't want anyone else to do them, and would prefer to the repairs himself. Well dh doesn't have the time, so things do take a long time before they get worked on. The only thing that really got repaired quickly, well quicker than usual was the hot water pipe. While standing next to the kitchen sink, the concrete (waiting for tile work) felt really hot whenever we use the hot water at our sink. The pipes are all under the foundation. My dh was able to cut a hole in the kitchen wall and close of the pipe, but had to add another pipe and redirect the pipe to our water heater (around the outside of the house). I think that it took a couple of weeks or so for it to be fixed. It only affected the water to the kitchen, so I had to boil water on the stove if I wanted hot water to do the dishes. It felt like I was out camping.

Okay, caught up, hey Ronna we know you are just saving those machines to give them a major workout later!!!!!! Whooossshhhiieee girls.

Okay, I am a scorpio and I have absolutely no idea what that means. And just that fast I lost my train of thought.

Ok, educate me, what is it like eating in a Japenses restaurant, and why the knives?

Kathie, your little table is a major doll. Yes, karin any excuse girl to go check out those lovely places.

Bev, hmmmm photoshop sounds like fun to figure out. That was pretty amazing the first and then the second. I was wondering how you got the horses to hold so still.

Tina, Happy Dance for you girl cause you know a machine is a comin.....

I do not know what the heck is wrong with me, but this afternoon all the sudden like a major downer. No bad news, nothing really bothering me that I can figure out, but whoaaaa. Reading the thread has helped and connecting with you girls always helps. Hope this passes quick, I gots sewing I want to do. Yeahhhhh, I don't know what I did right but the machine is back on the mend again. Maybe I just had to talk rally nice to it and baby it some. Don't we all need that. Hmmmmm, it is really really gray out and was nicer earlier, wonder if that has something to do with it. Yes, I am thinking out loud can you tell.
Wish at times we all lived closer that is for sure.
Ok, Ronna when is this sale girl?

I have a little sign in my sewing room that says SNAP OUT OF IT>>>>>>>lol working on it.
Will check in again later......

Jess, sounds like your pipe cracked from freezing maybe this winter??? Happened to me one year.

BTW....the date went well...they are going out again Friday...movie date. They are going to live on their own....each alone for a year and work on the relationship....and so the saga continues.... I see real problems down the road...but no one is listening to the MOM right now! Sound familiar???

I turn 50 on July 14th. My oldest son turns 22 on the 17th of July. I am a cancer. I have always hated that sign because cancer is so harsh and took my sister's life.

Kathie, keep track..I think we're close to our own Zodiac Wheel for sure..

Ronna, woohoo another Cancer...now we have even more in common in addition to our stashes. I used to know someone that did the zodiac charts. I would really like to have mine done now.

Bev, well a year is a good amount of time to find out for sure who's what and why! And kids can't ever take the easy road by listening to solid proven advice. If I had listened to my mom at one point I probably could have saved myself about 20 years of crap.

Carol Sue, hang in there, gray days are not good for alot of us. Do you have one of those "daylight" lamps? If so, turn that baby in your face and soak it up

In addition to the entire Zodiac wheel...if we all lived closeby one another we'd be making the National News and be known nationwide

Jess, you got that pie ready? I've got the spoon ready

Sharon, I will turn 50 on July 2. I'm so sorry you lost your sister to cancer. I can understand the word having an ill effect. But the moon is a wonderful planet..ok, so now we have 3 of that zodiac sign here.

Well dont get too excited about the hammock- it may not happen.
My son and I spent 4 hours on the beginning and finally gave it up and went swimming!
Then came back to it and he gave it up for ALGEBRA!!!! That's bad huh?
I worked at it and got the routine down alright but it takes a lot of rope!! No way I'm spending another $30. on rope for it.
SOOOO- I guess I'll make some 70's macrame plant hangers or something with all that rope.
Im sure there is a cheaper supplier- I just went to the local hardware store-.15 cents a foot and I bought 75 yds.
I used most of it and am not even 1/4 of the way done!WAAA!WAAA!

Blessings,
Autumn

And gosh think of all the trouble we'd all get into if we lived next to each other..ha.
National news..yep..but..hmm somehow I think we'd all be able to pin it on Kathie..she seems like a "wild child"..so we'd all create an alibi and pin it on her huh? LOL ROFL :0P

Autumn, I knew you were in for a surprise with the amount it would take. People ask me how many yards of yarn it takes for certain things that I crochet and they can't believe it..LOL Yeah, you definitely need a wholesale supply for that rope!

off to finish cleaning out kitchen cupboards..it gets scary when tupperware containers start falling out of the cupboards and you have to hurry and shut the cabinet door before the stuff spills out..so..I reduced that to half now..woohoo..getting there.

Omg, Tina..that's so funny!! Yes, I can see Kathie standing there pointing at the rest of us saying, "Wait a minute, you don't know these girls the way I do..this is NOT my doings or better yet she may look and say she's never seen us before in her life...ROTF Yes, it would be a riot of happenings.

Tina, I've crocheted doilies..got on a jag for that for seemed like years, then it was dishclothes, then it was purses, then it went to baby booties, hats and bibs...now it's doggie sweaters for Miss Morgan, just started the baby booties again since so many babies are arriving between now and November , and I love to freeform crochet. I'm working on Scrumbles for The Pink Project over at Ravelry. Oh yeah and I like to crochet flowers.

Here's one for the Pink Project I've finished:

Here's somemore that are going to wind up being wallhanging after adding much more to them.
