My Daughter has two cats.. These are her Babies.. (My Grandkitties as it appears..) Anyway.. Ringo & Sadie are Catnip Junkies.. They will do ANYTHING for a Fix! They have NO shame when it comes to what they will do for it! Especially Ringo.. Sadie tries to come off as if she's a bit more reserved.. (It's all a front of course..) But then entertainment at jennifers house is to lie a Bath towel down on the Floor then Pour out some Catnip all over the towel.. ringo strolls over.. & takes a couple whiffs of it them begings to roll all over in it & wraps himself up completely in the towel.. now surrounded by his precious Catnip! He looks like a fat little sausage wrapped up in his towl.. hardly any of him will be showing.. ! He will wrap compltely UP in the Towl! Egg Roll Cat!! or Pigs in a Blanket! He really is such a mess!!! Her friends beg her to do it when they all come over!

Kathie, those aprons are gorgeous! You are amazing. I'm inspired to make some aprons, but first I have to recover from my tick bite terror (I posted something in the health section. ) Your sister wrecked the chairs, what a brat. I will keep my eyes peeled here, I might run across some, you never know. I have an old grey table with a big teapot in the middle of it. I need to redo the chrome on it. And I also have a beautiful brown one, with extra leaves that pull out, it is a real sweetie that I got years ago when a junkstore was closing down. Aren't they great, I love all the old goofy kitchen stuff from the fifties. I wish my kitchen was as big as my barn, then I'd really be able to cram it full of stuff. I got another fabulous state plate last week, It is my fourth Florida one and it has a big parrot on it, I couldn't resist it.
My kitties are nip addicts as well, they love to get loaded, chase each other all over the house and then collapse in the most inconvenient places they can find. Right now we have another mouse in the pantry, I can tell because they are all lined up where I keep my casserole dishes. It is entertainment at its finest, watching drunken kitties frolic.
Time for me to start whipping this joint into shape. My nephew Willie, who lives in Southern Maine is coming to spend the night Friday and I don't want to scare him to death..... karin

Kathy, those aprons are pretty. I love paisleys.
Bev, Just looked at your blog..I knew it had to be those babies They are so sweet.
Carol Sue, I'm pulling out the tablecloth tonight or tomorrow to get it measured and take a pic of it so you can see the whole thing. I believe the other one you saw is a piece of vintage Wilendur with the classic rose design.
Jess, and what about the Japanese grill experience??

No Jess, Japanese dining is not a quiet experience..been there done that. And I can't bring myself to try the sushi bar. Are there any sushi eaters here? I do like the stirfry..just don't like the forks and knives flying around everywhere. I broke a tooth last year trying to eat a wasabi peanut...LOL Had a mouth full of "hot" plus tooth fragments mixed in..omg, it was aweful!

Thanks Girls!! yes.. It was one of My Great Aunt's Old Aprons.. (My Grandmother's Sister's Aprons that she passed down to me a LONG time ago!! ) So i just started to copy it down on Paper & made it my own Like Jess Said.. we've now named it my "Signature 'V' Apron".. Making it reversible isn't always the easiest though.. working around those corners down around the 'V's .. it just doesn't want to cooperate.. & makes the Apron So Thick.. but i think having 2 in 1 Apron is worth it!!
Japanese Dinner sounds fun Jess.. But no way can you convince me you sit quietly in a corner ANYWHERE!!!
Ok.. Here is a couple Pictures of My Wee Miniature Version of that 50's retro Table.. Minus My little Chairs..! & Yes Karin..Girls!!! If you come across a set.. In ANY color! I'd love to have them!! I'm sure I can easily redo the trim on the table again!
Dang it! Photobucket isn't even giving me the option to minimize the size! Wierd huh? ok.. well I'm sure the pics will be Ginormous.. but here we go!

There.. Sweet Little Grey Table.. so lonley with out her little chair Or Tots to sit at her & color Or have a PB&J with!

Does anyone who's still up have Julia's address? I have a huge box for her and Aria to send and can't find where I put the address. Put it in a 'safe' place...probably under the stacks of stuff on the dining room table. I'd like to get it sent tomorrow so it will be there Monday, if possible. One is packed for Carol Sue too, but I almost know hers without looking. Love that baby table Kathie..my mother had a set with the pink and black table and chairs were pink and black too...really wild. She replaced it with a purple set. I had the pink and black for a long time and sold it along with the rest of my hand me down furniture when I divorced my spouse all those years ago. Hey, do you still collect copper? I have a pretty cool heart in hand cutter, appears to me to be old realy copper if you want it. It's about 5 or 6 inches, good sized. So much copper anymore is paper thin cheap crap. Jess, I'd bake you a pie if we were closer. Love to bake pies and get pissy when people leave the crust. If it's my husband, I eat it unless he gives it to the dogs first...the dogs he accuses me of overfeeding and get fed off his plate. Steph, bet I could match you, yard for yard, on fabric. Remember I have two 10x20 storage units full..not all fabric, but probably at least half. No yarn, but I'm guessing at least 50 wedding gowns, a huge amount of silks, wool, leather and suede. Several lifetimes it would take to sew with it all. Oh, and enough vintage linens to open a store I'm sure...and yes, brought more home today. A really nice redwork embroidery, guess I need to learn how to post photos to the list. Know I had more comments to make and they went right out of my head, so will post more later. Ronna |

Hey Ronna, I've got Julia's addres..let me go get it and I'll email you.
Yes, I have always joked that my stash IS an entire Ebay category all of it's own..LOL With your's combined we could have our very own Etsy site.. Of course, that is if you'd let go of any of yours..it's taken me years to get to the "letting go" point. I figure clearing out half of it will still leave me a stash to last long after I'm gone and there's ALWAYS more out there just waiting on me to show up..ROTF

Ronna- sounds like you have found kindred spirits here concerning hoarding fabric!!! Now I'm on the other end of things right now- I'm cleaning out- going through my recently deceasedaunt's things has convinced me that my kids will be mad at me if I dont do it before they have too! I'm only clinging to the really centimental things and those are being scrutinized very carefully!
Ya'll know the hunt is the most fun anyway- so hunt it down(fabrc, yarn, whatever) and buy it and then return it!!NOT!!!!
Hey- I'm trying something new- well new to the 2000's Im gonna make a hammock!!! Im gonna try anyway!
