Nice aprons, Bev. I love the style and the colors!
I really want to make a couple of real aprons, but the reason I love the minis so much is they need so little room to cut out and construct. If I make a real apron I will have to find out if there is a table under the mounds of fabric I have piled on it. I should start mainlining coffee first thing in the morning...When it stops raining I'll probably feel better and move a little faster.
It was so cold here this morning I had to put the heat on for a while, and my daughter, who usually complains if the temp goes over 45 degrees, didn't even complain. I was liking that sunshine we had for a while.
Sharon, I hope the doctors find out what is what with your son and figure out how to make him feel better. Nothing is worse than when the kids get sick....

Love the aprons Bev! I think they are my favorits so far of what you have made. I LOVE THEM BOTH>. Hey gals, I am getting a new and different apron pattern with a 18" doll pattern included. The apron doesn't look too simple or plain so I bought it. I think you will like it.
My Danny boy was hospitalized yesterday and will be there for a few weeks and maybe a month. I won't go into detail but it is serious, scary to me and makes me cry. Say some prayers for us all, we need it.

Good luck to you Linda! I know you 2 have some hard battles. YOu are a strong person!
Well, tonight I went on a date with my husband. We went out and saw the new Indiana JOnes. Boy, it is not getting good reviews, but it was fabulous. All you want in an Indiana Jones movie! Everything was just perfect! Then we went to our favorite local ice cream shop...The Chocolate Moose. Now kids are home and in bed and first day of summer tomorrow for all but 1! YAYAA!!!!!!!

Sounds like pots of bad weather around- I don't watch the news so I never know whats goin on We have had sun and really warm weather here- I told my 14 yr old I'd swim in the pond with him today if we get home in time. My hubby built the coolest ladder & platform and hung a huge tugboat rope in the old oak tree so our boy can get all the thrills of jumping in the pond! Ill post a pic - hang on

Jeez.. look how busy every one is! Sharon So glad to hear the all clear on the Hepatitis! I know you would have preferred to still have had an answer.. But at least your able to rule this out now.. Bev your Apron's are just continualy so impressive! These are SO flattering! I thing they would even make a fuller figure look like they had a nice waist!! & the Pockets I think just set them off too!
Jess you lucky Girl! Date night! I think This was long & coming & much needed!! Good for you!!!
Bonne I thought about you all night! The pictures from the tornado's out by you were just devastating!! Hope everyone is ok there!
My youngest Son Joshua's last night of School was last night! He is So pleased with himself! & I of course couldn't be more proud ! His Graduation is the 12th.. They had mock interviews last night at school with persons from true corporations.. & he was offered a real job..which really wasn't supposed to happen.. So he thought that was pretty hilarious.. He also has been offered a job at Moffit Cancer Institute a couple of months ago.... But as of right now he's accepting a job to go to Cuba.. This one has alot of Security issues.. So you can imagine how thrilled I am with THIS..! Moffit.. sounds so much safer.. doesn't it? Anyway.. this is my Extreme child.. Sports.... Games.. name it.. he'll try it at least once.. just about anything but roller coasters.. he HATES them! I reckon we all have are phobia's!

Wow Kathie....soon the empty nester.....NOT....I think your birdies will be around for a while. That's good, that way you can ease into the whole empty nest thing. Hey, hope you get to go to that flea market...sounds like a blast!
Jess....so glad you had a wonderful time....your hubby is such a sweetie pie! I can't wait to see the movie.
Linda....wow, I am so sorry about Danny...will keep you both in my heart!
Bonne....pretty soon we are going to see you in Ruby Slippers....stay out of the way of the winds!!!
Autumn...happy swimming! It is still too cold up here to even consider it! At least we have a forcast of sunshine for the weekend.
Have a great weekend, everybody!

This was an "I cant wait to go get the cutoff shorts on swim" His dad built a permanent ladder/platform and board running deck- ahh the things OLD parents will do for their kids!!!! BTW- I meant Lots of bad weather-not Pots What a dufus!!!! Ok no pics of Aprons but I latched on to a couple of old ones at my aunts- and one really great one I plan to cut a pattern from. Not so old but really cute. I'll try to get some pics up soon. Kathie- empty nest????? What is that??? I know lots of folks kids come back to live after leaving but Im afraid my fly off and live happily ever after-some of them anyway- and we just get visits. It's a good thing but I sure miss having them all together with us and with each other. I think our wilder kids WANT to see us grey!!! My #2 boy graduates Police Academy in about 3 weeks- that means he'll be on the streets I think working for the phone co. or mission work would be safer- but NOOOOOOOO- he wants me to worry and lose sleep so he can fulfill his dream I'm thankful for good responsible kids- but I still wish they wouldnt do such daring stuff!!!

Wow.. Look at our Kids Grow.. No.. Mine just decided to skip right past the Police Acadamy & Scares the heck out of me with Cuba for Pete's Sake!! Not sure how much he's supposed to share.. but you've all seen the lovely little picture a while back.. you know.. the guys all stacked up with that cute little lady smiling next to them! THAT place!
Well i'm 'officially ' an empty nester.. they just take turns coming back around again now & then.. Not sure how long Jeff will be back home.. Could be pretty long term.. I'm good with that though..
Autumn.. I think we all need to plan a Girls Retreat one week end to try out that rope! that looks way too fun for JUST the kids!!!

Kathie, Geezzzz Cuba, dang kiddo, doesn't he listen to his mama!!!!! Been an empty nester for 5 years now, does it count though with dd living 5 houses away from us. Yep, we are over at each others houses a lot. I told here some land would be nice, pull the mobiles on, then put a good enclosed breezeway between the 2 for those days when the weather is just darn nasty. LOL Hey if the bucks were there we would do some serious thinking!!!!
Autumn, that is a grand picture, it is almost like he is walkin on the water. I wanna play on that rope swing. We used to have one on the river that was close to us. Wow was it fun. Yep, I got dared and did it.
Hey Bev, when I finish my minis today that will be aprons right.....lol tiny version......come on just trying for some apron credit here......lol
Bonne yeah graduated....police acadamy.....that would be a bit tougher knowing he will be out on the streets.........
back to sewing.....

Believe me girls- swinging on that rope at 50 aint NUTHIN like when I was 15! Hitting the water is even worse! Hubby bought me a nice little reclining pool float to SIT in the water with Funny how much fun pain was at 15-dont ya think?
This big girl is just gonna float and soak up sun - after all I heard recently that tanned fat is better than white fat -we'll see

Do you ladies allow a lurker who buys vintage aprons but won't wear one, has a $$$$ Bernina Artista sewing machine W/embroidery software hiding in the sewing room waiting for me to get it mucked out, etc etc???? I love reading the posts, just thought maybe you should know who is reading and jealous of all you ladies get done and I don't. Oh, suppose if I quit reading posts, I'd get the room cleaned out and be able to get in there and make friends with the machine before it's an antique? Ronna |

Ronna, Of coarse you can be here and lurking, you and I both know how much sewing I have not gotten done!!!!!!!!!!! Hmmmm, just say your sewing machine is MIA for right now, you don't have to say how it got MIA.
Nay, lookin forward to seeing pictures, my luck you already put them up!!!!!!!!!
Hey Autumn had a friend share that lovely fact about tan fat being nicer than white fat about 5 years ago. I laughed really hard then and now for the reminder. Floating sounds great.
