Thank You Carol Sue!!!

Sharon.. THAT was Scary as all get out!!

& I LOVED it!!! It's amazing what those Girls went through back then!
& it's no wonder so many of them eventually ended up drinking!!!

Shoot.. If i wasn't sewing with a sink full of dishes & sitting in front of my machine in a wife beater & pair of boxer shorts several times a week I'd never get an Apron finished!!
With a Martini Near By to Boot! (That of course is in honor of our Dear Grace!)

Those desks are spectacular! I never thought I'd see school desks I liked, but I love those two. I overdid my hole digging yesterday so I guess I will go back to button sorting , maybe a little sewing, but definitely no gardening for a few days! Karin

Kathie, my thoughts exactly. Now if I had to do all those chores before sewing, I would never get to sew. I used to keep it up much better, but with two grown sons, it isn't easy. Just the laundry alone usually never gets caught up. It has been over 100 degrees here, and when that happens, Southern California Edison prefers to give the appliances the day off. Now, I can handle that. We are to use the major electric appliances during the evening hours or the very early hours of the morning, but during the heat of the day when everyone is using air conditioners, then it is time to give the system a little break.

Congrats on the blog Kathie!!

Kathie, did you go to
http://www.cars.com/go/index.jsp ??
That's the way to shop for cars~just put in all your info (location, price range, type of vehicle etc etc) and it pulls up the listings so you can narrow the actual shopping down.

YAY! Kathie has a blog!

I've nearly finished the chair covers, got them all hemmed and ties sewn on half of them yesterday, so I'll finish those up today, and just maybe I can sew up an apron later in honor of our One Year Anniversary!
which was....um...2 days ago...rofl..
Jess...love the desks!

Oh, wow! I can remember a print similar to that in one of my grandmother's quilts.
Probably was a piece of feedsack she used, but definitely 30's. Those early prints remind me so much of her. **sigh**

Sharon, I sold a piece very similar to that fabric you've found except the print was bit larger. A lady in Japan purchased and it closed out at $28 per yard.

Vintage fabric is an investment and it's value seems to fluctuate on what current trends are..what I saw going for very high prices 4-5 years ago are not selling that high anymore..just specialty stuff that you hardly ever see is going high priced..the Glencourt Barkcloths and diamondweave barkcloths usually still bring good prices. The feedsacks I think will always bring good money...although I doubt I'd ever part with mine.. Guess I'll have to get hungry befor those get sold..LOL

I like the fabric but not for that price. I am cheap when it comes to paying for fabric.

I know that the old fabrics can go for a lot of $$$$$
