Hey, tonight I went to a dinner with my neighbors....it was cooked by a man who was the White House Chef under the Clintons and the Bushes (first 4 years)...great food and his cookbook for a gift when the dinner was over. He also gave a talk...great speaker....it was a really cool evening...and I am stuffed...too much food...too much wine!

Life's a journey and we've definitely come a long way Bev... I have Thomas but a year ago I was living in a strange place and very isolated..I came close to cracking up I think then I got sick...the one thing that was constant was y'all still being here when I would look.
And of course, I'm in a different place now but it's different. I have lots to do and am not isolated as I was at the mountain house. I'm just glad y'all are part of my life.
Hugs...

I am so forever thankful that I got a chance to catch up on the thread tonight. I started Mj's farm I think a week or so from now and meet you all. My daughter has instructions to let you all know if anything happens to this girl. She loves this thread, she never hardly posts but you girls are dear to her cause you are dear to me.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.......HUGS TO EACH OF YOU.
Oh Stephanie, you can send us some and we will find places to hide opppsss stash it for you......lol but you know we could. Did you like your bedtime story....lol
Kathie, yep you love that girl when you pick up her darn pill out of the puke.. ugggh
Karin thanks for the tip on the Elegant stiches. Someday will have to look around for it. I want to do a crazy quilt, the book I have doesn't really have much for stiches in it.
Bonne, that is a stunning stall that you showed, wow girl what a great job.
Nay good for you you got your minis done. Getting there myself.
Oh girlsssssssssssssssss it is still 73 here inside, I know that might sound silly but it was 83 at 8pm still at finally at 11pm it is cooling off. It was 86 or hotter here today. We have gone from 62 Wednesday to hot today. This is July weather for us. I swear this girl melted today, and the next 2 days the same. Wowwwww, I think I will stand in a cold shower and become a wrinkled woman.....lol Nighty night..........

See.. I've told Butch the Same Thing.. everytime he frets over all the crap I have stashed in my room he says "Please don't die before me! what am i going to do with all of this garbage!" I says "Don't you even WORRY about that! Just Call my Girls! & they'll sorth through it all for ya!! They would LOVE to have this stuff Sweetie!" He think i'm crazy of course.. but they Just don't get it!
Ok.. Puppy update.. Syd's Parvo Test came back Negative too! Yippee!! Little Monkey! Had Hookworms, Tapeworms.. AND Round Worms!
AND he weighed a mere SEVEN pounds! Annie Weighed 9 Lbs.. I'm sure she was probably at 10 before she puked all the way over there! But Syd USED to be considerabley heavier then Annie before he got sick.. His Vet said he wouldn't have made it through the weekend. Poor Little man Syd... !!!
Good news though.. so we can breath..

I'm working on the 2nd strap and then it'll be done!! Perfect weekend to wear it too, as we are supposed to be in the mid to upper 80's! Carol Sue, what's up with this weather?? Too hot for May~I'm not looking forward to spending the summer in desert-like heat. Guess it's time to buy some tomato and pepper plants (watch it snow next week~lol)

Spring must really be here, today it is raining but it's a soft gentle rain, not even waking up my arthritis....it is alwasys so weird when it is really hot all of a sudden We consider 45 degrees real spring weather here so when we get the occasional hot day or two thrown in before say, July, I just tend to find myself totally overwhelmed, it's good I have my giant wraparound sunglasses, Zan, my daughter, and I actually bought tomato plants yesterday, I'm planting them all in one bed so if it freezes I only need one sheet to cover them. We got some annuals to liven up the shady bed in front of my kitchen windows and some nice little perennials...
You girls are all so nice, this site is such a wonderful place. I'm one of those Mainer low key types, so the opportunity to communicate with all these lively farmgirls is so amazing..........

Hello Ladies, I always tease my DH that I'm going first as I don't want to deal with all his stash. My stash is some what neatly in the attic and one small room. His is VERY neatly arranged in his 2000' work shop plus a 3 car 2 story outbuilding. Every inch is neatly store. I swear that man can use EVERY inch of space wisely. If he goes first I'm lost!!!!!!!! Have a good day.

Kathie....great puppy news! Hookworms! YAY (can't believe hookworms can make me happy) Oh, I forgot to mention, I had then once thanks to walking barefoot in my yard....talk about an awful discovery...as a teenager! Yikes!

I went to a "craft on the townsquare" type of thing today in a little town south of me...I got a birdhouse and another birdfeeder. Met some of the ladies in the local Fiber Guild. One has a herd of sheep and angora rabbits and the other has Llama. Wonderful fibers
Very few aprons and nothing to write home about either. Too much cheap jewelry and Funnel Cake vendors..LOL And I didn't get one either..YAY!!
Then I found a JUNK shop..I mean one of those that you sneeze when you walk in the front door, so much stuff that your head swims trying to see everything...I'm going back weekend after next to spend the day..LOL After talking to the son of the owner...it was his grandaddy that started the business and has been handed down. He told me that there is even a basement full of stuff that probably dates back at least a 100 years. I'm taking my digital with me the next time so y'all can see this place.
I saw one treadle machine with the coffin cover but the machine was very neglected but the cabinet looked to just need a good cleaning.
I got some of the old yardsticks that aren't flat...the ones that are about a 1" sqaure..they have the company name, location and the six digit phone numbers on them..I'll take pictures later and put on my blog.

No kiddin Jess, she tells us about this place and now we have to wait for pictures, nuts!!!!
Kathie so glad it is just worms and that she got him in so soon. Oh that was good news.
Karin, you sound like are having fun playin in the dirt.
Bonne, you are so right, what in the world is with this weather. I have been drinking iced tea like a fish and am having to water my flower beds like crazy because they are dry. I have tomatoes plants just don't have them planted out yet.
Stephanie, no playing with any fire at all girl. Yes girls I told her about my two adventures with fire. First one was a yearand a half after dh's 26 ft fall and the major changes we went through with his head injury to our lives. An aquaintance had give us 3 days at Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast. Then it was about 2 hours from us. Dan was out of the wheelchair by then. So I got us all packed up and of coarse I had candles and lingerie for fun. My girlfriend had done my nails with acrylics, I had never had fake fingernails. Five minutes after we pulled out she was frantically calling my house to tell me those fingernails were flamable. I bet you can guess where this is going. So we have a beautiful drive on the way down to the cabin at the beach. We unloaded and he decided to grab a shower which I thought was great cause I could dress up the room with candles and myself of coarse. I lit the candles and got to the last one and you guessed it, I light my fingernail on fire. So here comes this screaming woman into the bathroom and shoves her lit hand into the shower. Boy did that not create the mood I was going for. First, dh was in shock and then he started laughing because ya have to admit it was darn funny. Can you say no more acrylic nails for me. Yep, no more for me. So off we went to the store to get a file to fix this very deformed fingernail or two. We did get a good bottle of wine and had a great time. But yep, memories sure are there for us.
Ya ready for the next one, ahhhhh guess you will have to wait till tomorrow night for your bedtime story. LOL Later

OMG, Carol Sue...what a hoot...fingernails on fire!
When my kids were little, my best friend had a wedding to go to and needed fingernails. So, she brought over her newborn, 2 year old (mine were 4 and 6). I used some of those press on nail tips for her and ended glueing our thumbs together with the crazy glue. Try sending your four year old around the neighborhood to get acetone....(the six year old was in school). We laughed till we cried ...and then I had to peel the skin off the end of my thumb to detach the nail....Youch!!
Oh and Jess....as long as your dog doesn't have worms you should be ok....just don't step in the doggie doodoos!

OMG~I agree Jess. Really irks me that my neighbors' 2 Labs insist on pooping near our side of the property line and they infrequently clean it up. Right across the chain link fence from my pepper and tomato garden. Gags me when I go there. Litter boxes I tolerate, but dog crap nauseates me.
ck out my wacky pants on my blog....lol

i love your pants Bonne...they are fab u lous.....
i have hardly sewn a stitch in weeks, making me crazy. PLants, dirt, rocks...plants dirt rocks...weeds...grass...mow.....dig...plants... dirt.....mulch...laundry...where in the schedule does it say sew?
well, i have become a craigslist addict thanks to bonne!...i got 2 desks and chairs for my twins on friday..I will post before and after pics soon...today a cute tiny little bed for my 2 yr old so she can start out on her own in the nights....we seem to be a family of cosleepers...but a queen size is all we can fit up the stairway into our room, so when John and myself, the twins, my 2 yr old, my cat, and my 5 year old all end up together it makes for a very tight squeeze. So, my five year old knows he eventually has to return to his bed, my twins have new beds that have been ordered and should arrive shortly, and now my 2 year old has a new bed...I am hoping with all the new beds coming in everyone will be inspired to sleep in them...we shall see...but i must say my bed is so much more comfy than everyone elses...especially with my squishy teddy bear warm husband in it.
