Steph, that shawl is a super bulky butter shade of homespun type yarn combined with a novelty bubble yarn in aqua/yellow/peach/tan with tan boucle fringe.

no, old but a little newer than those. I only paid $20, the people around here who have the attached kind want $75 or more each for them..I dont have that kinda cash right now.

Jess, I have two of the cutest little wooden chairs that I found in Goodwill years ago..gave $5 a piece for them..they came from a very old church's sunday school room for toddlers..I painted them white and use them for displaying stuff.

Oh Jess....at least it wasn't stitches....ouch. You are always such a busy gal...projects, projects, projects.

Kathie...Hookworms, barefeet, Yikes...I have an ucky story about that when I was a kid..... bedtime story some night!

Steph, I use the template.....Minima Lefty Stretch....customize the colors, also, I believe.

I sewed two Amy Butler purses today....love the pattern and the fabrics...sorry but the pics are on my blog...this camera saves too high a resolution for Photobucket and I am too lazy to change it (Jack's camera)...mine is an easy point and shoot and the battery is dead...for now.

Ok, gotta run....dinner!!!

Every Saturday at this Salvation Army all the furniture is half price if it's been there longer than 30 days...and the beginning prices are so good anyway..It's killing me to see some of the vintage pieces that are coming through there.

A few weeks back one of the vintage game tables..you know the square oak with the leather/vinyl?? insert in the middle..oh, it was sooooo cute and only $30..the same week they had a vintage wardrobe and little cabinet to match it..all for $100 and then the latest has been an antique oak curved curio cabinet..to dye for..for $150

Gosh dam..it would ALL look great in my future "little cabin or cottage"..but I keep telling myself there will be more of it when I'm ready to furnish again.

thought that would make your mouth water..LOL Now you see how it's killin me. I'm in the northwest corner of Mississppi about 3 miles from Memphis, TN

There were 3 bedroom apartments here but I chose the smallest two bedroom (955 sq ft) so I could start aclimating (sp??) myself to living in a smaller space since most of the cabins we have seen that we like are under 1000 sq ft.

Soooo I took the master bedroom as my sewing room and we sleep in the smaller room..I've got an 11x14 foot sewing room now with a walk in closet that's pretty nice....But I've been used to 3x that space in the mountain house so this has been an adventure so far.

Holy Cow! Your small 2 bedroom apt has more sq. ft than my house!! LOL

I was just at my weekly 'Stitch 'n [bleep]' and we were talking about the same thing~vintage furniture finds at the local thrift store and estate sales.

How much sq ft. do you have Bonne?? Don't you have an attached garage too? This is great..I need to see how your place is layed out. We are seeing a bunch of cabins that are 800 sq ft, some are 900 and they are in the price range we want to buy at.

I would LOVE to find an 800 sq ft...totally open floor plan..all the walls and halls create wasted space. Just a room for the bathroom and bedroom and the rest wide open...If I were an urban city chick I'd love to have a loft in one of the warehouse districts. They are so cool.

Today I looked at our bedroom and there's really nothing much in it but the bed and it has a built in computer desk that I don't use and then the other wall is totally empty soooo I'm going to attempt bringing all the fabric and put it in the bedroom...oh, and I don't use the tub in my bathroom so guess what?? fabric storage...LOL

A climate controlled storage room starts at $100 per month...geesh, I just can't do that..can think of alot of other "good" things I could spent that money towards...so I'm gonna cram it in here..that'll help me move out quicker..LOL
