Are you mostly packed for your move? Tell me again where you are moving to...I remember thinking..omg, she better have enough gas money or else she'll be sitting in the wilderness..LOL

Hey Steph...I might like to take a bit of fabric off your hands......

Thanks for the comps Karin! Great that you have a quilt group!...wish I did. But I guess I can get into enough trouble on my own.

Bonne...Beatiful yarn....let me think about it...I would be really excited if it were just the electric blue alone.....I also saw a little sweater that might go with the dress.....we shall see.

Chilly with rain here today....whatever will I do???? Ok, I guess I will just have to sew....making a purse...pics later!

Steph...yes I went out and bought a copy off the newstand and then a few days ago, one showed up in my mailbox...they told me I was too late to get the first issue, but I guess I was not, so I have 2 copies as well, I am giving mine to my sister, she does not have one yet.

Ok Steph.. The stool was really icky last night.. Not sure how much of WHAT was in it.. I didn't go over there so i didn't actualy see it.. My sister was crying everytime I talked to her so it was hard to understand what she saying some of the time.. but it was definatly runny & ick..
I talked to her this morning.. she had him on Pedialyte all nite..
Yes Syd was NOT the happy Camper over this forced liquid she said.. BUT he was acting VERY hungary this morning! She talked to her Vet this morning..(She gets in at Noon today..) & she said to try giving him a cooked egg to see how he does with that until she gets him in there.. & it may likely be that it's a REALLY bad case of Worms!

So,... everythings crossed!

Annie has an appointment at 11:30 today..!

Hi Steph-

We are moving to Billings, MT and I have maybe 5 or six boxes packed...YIKES! I am trying to plan what to sell at the Garage Sale that we are going to have. Hopefully that will bring in some $$$ as we are trying to get right into an apartment. Doug has applied for some pretty promising jobs. If he gets one with Wells Fargo, we actually wouldn't have a drop in income! That would be amazing! And as much as I love my yard and the ability to have a garden, the apartments that we want to get into have a fenced play area, allow dogs and it would be nice to not have to worry about doing lawn care right after this move. We expect it to be only a year, two tops before we can buy a house- so we are really excited to be moving toward that!

Stephanie, Judith Baker a Montano has written a lot of great books about crazy quilt stitches. One of my favorites is called Elegant Stitches and it has instructions for left handers in it. Not for all the stitches, but most of the most used ones, and I think you'd probably be able to figure out the correct stitches for the rest once you get the hang of it. She has lots of other books, I have a couple more but couldn't find them today...Amazon has a cheap used copy of Elegant Stitches available...if I find any other with insrtuctions for lefties I'll let you know. I was planning on burrowing into the mass of sewing crap I've made in the living room today anyway.....Maybe a library near you might have some of her other books(our library is of course chock full of Stephen King books and cheesy romance novels)

Jess.. Carmen is 7.. or wait.. is she older now? I loose track.. ANYWAY.. There is a considerable difference in the 'cup' size.. or rather where the girls fall.. !

ANYWAY!! I KNOW Carmen looks adorable in Her's! & Bonne will look awesome in HERS as well.. as for me! & MINE!! i would need an EXTRA LONG !

ok sorry TMI!

Back from the Vets With Annie!
Although remember SHE hadn't been showing any signs of anything.. I just wanted to get her there as a precaution.. Vet loved her.. she liked him pretty well till he stuck a bubble stick up her butt & gave her a shot.. after that HE was the enemy!
Fecal test came back Negative so far for Parvo for Annie..
She does have a nice little case of hook worms though.. so i reckon I won't be goin' barefook out in the yard for awhile..!

We just have to wait to see what Syd's Vet check come's up with now!
I thought her appointment was noon.. it's actually 1:30.. so I'm still waiting to hear..
If he comes back positive.. Annie could still come down with it in the next 7 to 10 days..
So.. waiting not so patiently here..

oh fun news.. Annie got car sick on the way there.. hurled all over the back seat of my truck.. So I put her up front with me on the way back..
THEN she puked up her worming pill about half way home!
WHICH SHE NEEDED!!
Yes.. get ready for it..
So i HAD to fish through the puke to find the damn pill & clean it up again to make her take it when we got home!!! UGHHHhhhh!!
Why did i want a Puppy Again???

I'll update you on Syd later Girls!
Thinks for thinking of us..!

Lots of love..

OH good grief Kathie, I won't worry about being GROSS again!!!ROTF I thought (I was hoping) I was the only one that has fished through puke for a pill...awww gross!

Jess, well I guess MJ must have given out all of our names and addys for the magazine deal since I never requested one at all...just ordered it directly for the single issue..ok so if there's anyone that doesn't have the current issue I'll mail it to you..just let me know.

Bev, Good..now I'm hoping for good traveling weather for the 22nd of this month..no rain please since I'll load the car, the back of the truck and the boat since Thomas is pulling it back! BUT it can't rain!!

Karin, I used to have a Judith Montano book..I'll look for the elegant stitches..know I've seen at Books a million but can get it at Amazon used books area too. Thanks for the info.

Bonne, I'm still making up my mind on which shawl

Yes, the sign of a good fur moms the willingness to rescue the spewed up tablets rinse em off and try again. i have cats and they are notriusly evio when it comes to pills. Hope all is well for little Syd and that Annie doesn't get any more problems. They keep you on your toes, these little buggers, but it is such fun to have these little beasts in our lives. Yesterday I saw the cutest little Shiba Inu puppy sleeping in someone's car at at the supermarket. I wanted to steal it...but my cats are very intolerant little brats, I fear it would be horrific to try to introduce a dog into this household...

Karin, I think Miss Morgan would either try to kill a new addition or would go into great depression and withdraw...she's so spoiled and enjoys being an "only furbaby".

I really dont need a puppy...that would make me nuts. Rreally, it was an impulsive thing, so it is better this way. My daughter just really wants to train a puppy from the start, so I thought it would be a great surprise for her.

okay, so today was my last day to watch my nephew...so what happened? He split his head open on a wooden block. How you might ask? He is very clumsy and just fell over his feet. So anyway, it turned out to not be awful and we could just put it back together with butterflies, but jeez...it was a bloody mess and square in the middle of his forehead. At least my sister was very calm about the whole thing...I thought she would freak, but alas she did not. But you know he has been here everyday since the beginning of July, and this was the only time he has gotten hurt.

Yes Steph, made my own patterm, the chairs are reather oddly shaped, so the normal chair pattern didnt work, I found with that thing and lost...what a waste of fabric! rofl...but I made a muslin today and got all the new pieces cut out already, the only chairs that wont have covers are the two "captains" chairs...just didnt have enough fabric for those...I think we only had 3yds of each fabric we are using, so these covers are taking a total of 5 and a half yards of fabric...

Jess, aww, That musta hurt..poor kid..
