Oh I love the collection ideas, now I have to figure out what in the world I collect, a little of this and that.....
ok, I still haven't figgured out how to do the list of places I like to go look at for other blogs and havne't been on there since the end of February. Since finally back on here more need to do that, need a nap first.....
Yes, the meds are making some changes and they take a bit till full effect, it is the Nuerontin. I woke up for the first time without excruciating pain for 2 mornings in a row. I am tireder, is that a word, but I am beleiveing that this is an answer for me.
Was gonna sew a few minis but I need a nap, yes at this hour!!!!
Jess, I about fell off the chair when you said the one about your kids. Oh how fun it would be to be able to trade homes and see each other....ahhhhhh a girl can dream.
I wish I knew you all a year ago when I downsized some stuff, yes fabric and quilt books. Darn it girls!!!!!!
I like the thimble idea since I have a few.....hmmmmm pincushions are small......snowmen stuff.....I am awful but anything from any of you gals would be a treat and such fun cause it is from you!!!!!!!!
OH OH OH I know what I was trying to remember, I have a ruler thimbleholder. It is a long wooden ruler cut in half for both sides, then you take another ruler and use it for the back making it 2 inches longer than the sides so that you can make a nail or screw hole to hang it up. Then you put in small pieces of wood for the shelves or you can use another piece of wooden ruler and waaaahhhh lllaaaa a thimble holder. Thought you might like that one....

I HAVE A STORY!!!
i may have told this one somewhere here.. Yes.. i KNOW I did.. But i'll tell it again anyway.. as it has to do with Chicken Farming..
When i was in Elementary School my teacher Mrs montinger used to take us home with her in Pairs on Thursday nights.. & We'd SPEND THE NIGHT with she & her old Husband at their Chicken Farm!
Then Friday morning the 3 of us would go to School together1
She did this all year long so by the end of the year.. we'd have all had the chance to spend the night with her!
But we'd get to see how they Chicken farm ran.. collect a few eggs.. weigh them.. see how they were sorted out by sizes.. & hold them over the light to see if there was blood in the egg.. or TWINS!!
It was pretty cool!
& See.. to my Knowledge.. No one was molested!
Ok maybe that wasn't so funny..
alright.. yes it was..!
Maybe we were all just homely kids..
?

There really are some good teachers out there....it is so weird that we all have to worry about that all the time.
Does anyone know what size egg is equivalent to a hot wheels car?

Too bad the innocense is gone from this world....when I think of the things we did as kids....went off on our own....downtown to buy penny candy at the little grocery store....we were about 4 years old and toddling off about 10 blocks...no one ever worried about us....not today!

I seemed to have a thing with Teachers!
There was one that was a High School Science Teacher that my Mom was friendly with his wife.. & he was into Herps.. & I LOVED anything creepy crawly. he'd come get me at the crack of dawn & we'd go to the qauries in search of Snakes.. I was pals with this Guy for years.. from the time I was 11 or so! even went with he & his wife to Chicago every month to the Herpetological Meetings.. (He was the President..)
I also became great friends with one of my 5th Grade Teachers & she then made sure that I got Mrs. Edwards for 6th Grade..(they were friends..)
& they also hung out with the Music/Choir teacher.. So I was in!
there were maybe 10 of us all together i think.. maybe only 2 other Girls.. But we did stuff together for years! Baseball Games In Chicago.. some one would call someone else.. & we'd end up going in two car loads.. Roller Skating.. Mrs. Edwards was the 1st to get married & have a Baby.. & WE gave her her Shower! We'd also recruited a 7th Grade Science Teacher into our Jr. High Clique too! Once I was in High School i still did things with that same group.. AND the reptile guy.. (he didn't really associate with the other Teachers though.. he was too into HIS things.. not really the Kids things like these others were..) But I also reeled in the Librarian.. He was hilarious! & I worked in the Library.. I was in charge of the magazine room when I was a Freshman.. It was MY Domain!
Oh.. my.. God..
I was a Nerd!!

ha! I just talked to this woman on craigslist tat i contacted about 2 childrens desks and chairs...1/2 way through the conversation she asked me if I had 2 kids....so then of course I could not lie...people are really like, " whoa " when I tell them...actually...we have 7...so since she was so entertaining, I let her know we are having another...it was so hysterical.

I know.. My kids weren't allowed out of the yard til we got home unless they were at a school activity.. (Even in High School..)
Yes.. I know.. OBVER KILL..
But NOW is the time I get to tell you that i worked for the Miami Mental Health Association/ The Adam Walsh Resource Center/ & The Dade County School System.. All for the same Reasons in a round about way..
So I had the very misfortunate insight into some horrible minds & what they were cabable of doing to our kids!
