| Sounds like my household, although I only have 2 boys. Dh doesn't work late hours often, and tries to be home by 5 pm. Well, dh woke up and is taking my son to school. It concerns me because dh had so little sleep last night. |

CONGRATS JESS!!! So the news is out,eh? It is a blessing to have a house full and even more of one to have a sweet hubby that does his part- the picnic was so thoughtful!!! I have a good one too! Better take care of yourself though- the more kids and the older ya get(I know you aren't old yet!!) the harder it is to recover. I was - wait..I mean ..I AM an old momma! My youngest loves to tease us about his "old parents" and all the disadvantages. I say he's got it made- we are SLOW!!! very relaxed and slow to anger or action- he also pulls the forgetful card out now and again .

Oh, I have the recovery part covered. When I have a baby, from the time it pops out and then for 7 days my husband does not let me out of my bedroom. He brings me every meal, does every kid thing, tries to do all the laundry correctly, and does all the dishes and floors. Then for the next week he still does all the running and cooking, but I can venture out into the rest of the house and help fold laundry. and really he does not have to cook that much because we have all kinds of friends that bring tons of food over.
Oh and Nash...there is always time for fun...no matter what is going on!

One of the gals in my weekly "Stitch 'n [bleep]" was a grandma to 3, but it's soon shooting up to 6. Her son is a GP and his wife a stay @ home mom. Well, they decided to add to the family of 3 after fostering a baby girl that was given up. That was last year. Now, they plan to foster 2 more (1 and 3yrs old)and adopt them after another several months of waiting/red tape. My neighbor usually goes and stays with the kids at least once a week to help out. A year ago I would have thought her son was crazy to think about doubling the family, but as I got to know them AND got to know Jessica and her family, I realize that some folks are just what I consider to be ideal parents. Everyone in the family works at it, no matter how young~it's a team effort. I just admire how that works for some larger families. It takes very special parenting. ;)

Hi Jess, Well that is very exciting news, congratulations. It must be so much fun to have a houseful of kids, I only had two and I was a very late starter. I'll chime in with everyone else and say, no more wheelbarrow loads, girl.....Karin

Well, this is certainly exciting!! Oh my, we only have until October???? You need to keep us updated with belly pics!!
Oh yea, I was supposed to leave for Las Vegas tomorrow...hubby had an educational meeting....well, we cancelled the trip (YAY!....I hate Las Vegas). Our dog sitter and dear friend's daughter is dying with metastatic cancer. I just could not go out of town and leave her here with my dogs...I would have felt horrible about that. She was relieved, I think....as she should spend every moment that she can with her daughter!
Bonne, too bad you are so far away.....I would use your skills.
Well, Hubby is not upset at staying home...it gives him an extra day off...Friday. So we will have a nice long weekend together. And now instead of packing tomorrow, I am going to SEW!~~~~ YAY!!!!!!

I'm loving playing with dolls lately! I think I'll always be a little girl. NO THEY are NOT Barbies...LOL Bev, I liked Las Vegas when I went, not for gambling, just a sight seer...I would ooooh and awwwe looking at the sights. What are you making lately?

YaY!! Bev, gets to stay home..I know you are so excited..LOL
Jess, you need to "blog your belly" at least every month.. Then we can all rub your belly...
It's really exciting for me because I haven't told y'all..I have a neice that is expecting her second child (boy) (Skyler Addison) on September 2nd, my youngest stepson's wife is expecting their first child (girl) on yes....September 11th, her name will be Allison Liberty..so Great Auntie Stephanie and now I'll be a grand......noooo...the boys always called me Steffie Sue or Su-Su so I guess the granddaughter will call me one of those too. Bad part is that they are in Texas but with the Webcam I can stay in touch between visits.
Then I met the neighbor across the breezeway and she is due with her second child (girl) September 9th and then now you at end of October.
Very exciting to have all these bebe's arriving!!!

YAY!!! Bev..go sew...stay home and have fun with Jack. Sounds like a perfect weekend to me.
Sewing...I have not been doing very much. Made new sheers for the boys room and a tablecloth for the table in the kids play kitchen.
Mostly I have been purging and switching closets to summer from winter, changing all bedding from winter to summer, washing coats and snowpants. Here is something that should make you all chuckle. I collected all the kids hats, gloves/mittens, and scarves and it filled one whole load in my commercial sized washer. I have 3 kids left to switch to summer clothes...hopefully I can finish that today.
If the rain lets up, I am going to go out and plant my nasturtiums, sunflowers, pole beans, Zinnias, and tithonias. I have one last house plant to repot..actually it is several plants in one big pot. I got these beautiful big shiny red pots for either side of my front door. I was able to purchase one locally, so I have had it planted for a week, then the search began for a matching one...it arrived yesterday..YAY!
Belly blogging...great idea..i will try to do that. I have found no time to blog in the month of may so far. Argh...I will get to it. Lots of babies for you this fall Steph....should be fun.
Okay well, I sat up last night and made a list of what has to happen today, so I better get on it...cheers girls...I will talk to you later!

Luckily my husband drove up just moments later and now he is taking care of the situation....jeez...I hate possums. Okay now I will get to work, and rewash the pillows taht I washed yesterday and left on the dryer overnight!

Possum on the dryer??? Well that would end it for me...no laundry gets done today!!
Well, since today was going to be packing and travelling....I decided to give myself a day off! I sat in bed until 8:45 with Good Morning America and worked on some embroidery....now off for a shower and then up to my sewing room for a few hours! YAY! I am actually going to sew today!!!! And to make it even better...it is a rainy day, so there is nothing outside that is calling to me.
Have a great day!

I have no idea..it was a smaller one, so I am sure it could squeeze through anywhere small, but how it got in there is beyond me. It was cold and windy and very thunderstormy last night, so I could see how it would not want to be outside. But how it got in...? There are no holes in my dryer vent, the window was open, but it has a screen, and the screen was still in. I am at a loss as to how it got in here. My husband has torn apart the laundry room and that section of the house looking for entry spaces, but there are none...I live out in the county, so it is not unusual to find them in your house. 3 years ago we had some that turned up in the basement, but we crawled through all the crawl spaces and checked the foundation and retuck pointed everything. Last spring my neighbor had one in her sons room and could not figure out how it got in either...sneaky little buggers.

Sharon, this is our house...6 years ago. My husband and I have been renovating it and bringing everything current in the house. It was built in 1874. It looks much different now with all the plantings and what not that we have done. At the beginning of this summer we are tearing off the porch and putting on a new one. I thought I had a more current picture on my computer somewhere but I guess not and it is pouring down rain today, so no current photo...sorry. Anyhow..the age of our house can somewhat explain how an opossum was in the laundry room, but with all the updating we have done, I cannot figure out how it got in here.

Aww...I think it's cute! But I bet I wouldn't think that if one was staring at my from my dryer. A worm got in to the kitchen from the back door on Saturday and I screamed like an idiot and made my husband get it. I can handle a opossum better than I can a worm.

I can handle anything, just not possums, raccoons, and squirrels in the house...and not after the thousands of dollars I spent a few years ago making sure they could not come in to play. I feel sorry for them in new subdivisions, but you know my house has been here long enough they should know not to come in.

LOL!! I don't think we have them out here. Just coons and "polecats" . The skunks try to burrow under the house and once were successful so we had black & white babies out playing in the evenings. arghhh!!! Oh, and there was a couple times a coon came in by way of a torn screen in the summer , to eat cat food. Critters are usually driven by food sources.
By the way, if anyone needs to find a petsitter, go to www.petsit.com and enter in your zipcode. It will list reputable petsitters affiliated with Pet Sitters International in your area. ;)
