Naomi, did they actually have it at 50% off even though the flyer didn't indicate that? I haven't been there yet~the whole area (CO) west of Denver doesn't have any Joann's, for pete's sake; the closest I got to fabric was a dinky Walmart. I was ready to weave tree bark and pine needles.

Well--- Actually i dont have much when i pull these long hours. Most time I have a 30 hr work week, Then it goes nuts when they all leave on vacation or have dinner parties or off to horse shows. It isnt too bad though --i hands on run a small farm --and i mean "hands on"believe me. I do all the work with 3 horses--16 cats --4 dogs that have to have a daily run--then i have a dementia patient that lives on the farm that pretty much is total care --a 6 bedroom house to take care of far as housework --i should mention here that all the cats and dogs have the run of the place :) --lets see cook , hehehhe--as you can see it is endless. I do most the yardwork --clean the pool--even paint and repair whatever needs to be fixed. The cats all adore me and follow me around all day . It is funny to see my "cat parade". But on other hand i know what has to be done and no one bothers me to get stuff done but at my own pace. I ride the horses every day if i want so that is fun instead of work. I really can miss my house and my animals though. I have 2 more weeks of the crazy hours and then it will quiet down till holiday times. When i do get home i destress by making jewlery or sewing .

Lisa, I am just worn out after reading your post. How do you manage? Now, I stay at home during the day. Today, I did 3 loads of laundry, made peach cobbler, spinach quiche, cooked lunch, did Ebay, and ironed. That is a lot for me.

Americana apron that I finished yesterday. The straps and pockets on this reversible apron are made from Americana stars fabric. The print in the first picture is one of my all time favorite prints.
I have to remember to make these images smaller next time.

Everyone -- your aprons are so cute!! Glad for the link to the "bee" fabric at E-Quilter -- I can always find fabric there. I'm on my lunch hour right now so gotta run. Hope to get some sewing done this weekend and maybe I'll have a picture to post! Have a great weekend everyone!
Hugs, Kay

I keep dropping links on everyone , but there are a lot of very cute vintage Halloween pics in the free clip art samples section and somebody may want to brain storm from some of it for your own halloween aprons.

Yep Sheryl-lyn that's the fabric.....we need to have matching aprons!!!
Lisa....you are really a busy lady.....but that kind of work is the best, I think. Farm work is therapy to me....nothing like the smell of the horses, picking stalls, hauling manure....to clear your head!
FABRIC!!!! I just love fabric. I am at my son's this weekend and cannot wait to check out the fabric here......maybe stuff I cannot find at home. I did notice that Hancock's has their Halloween fabric at 40% off at my local store......check it out, ladies!!!

Sharon, like I said before, you are a virtual apron machine.....did you steal my fairies...they had been at Smoothiejuice's house for a while, now I fear they have made a stopover at your house. I would like them back, please!

I finally got to Joann's! Got a bunch of polar fleece and some embroidered suedecloth. All the stuff that normally is so expensive~could have spent more, of course.
Bev, that's exactly what I do when I go visit my son..........FABRIC SHOP!! LOL He gives me a Joann's gift card for holidays/B-Days. I have him well trained. I think I've officially run out of storage room for fabric~I'll have to be hanging it in the closet under regular clothes.........;)(what a shame this house has only 2 closets!)

hi sistas: I wanted to invite you all to join the new Fabric Swap (see the topic on Stitching & Crafting). It will be quarters "fat" or "regular". I think it will be fun. Wish me luck on doing this right. :-)
