I finally got my sewing machine to work. I shouldn't tell on myself because I don't want yall to know how dumb I really am! sheesh I took it all apart again to make sure there wasn't any lint I missed. STill didn't work right. I kept thinking that the presser foot just didn't seem like it was holding enough pressure. Duh! So when I got to looking into that I found that the little button at the top wasn't pressed in to make the presser foot push down hard. Once I did that, problem was fixed.
So now I can finish the apron that I'm making for a fellow farmgirl. And box the skirt I was making that is just a might too small.
Blessings.... Sarah

Hey Jess,
Did you get a bunch of catching up done today? It's a good feeling...best I can remember..LOL One day I'll experience it again..
I don't sell on Etsy but see a few ladies in the Entrepeneur area talk about how difficult it can be..

Bev, I love the jack o lanterns. Yep, still up, but decided before I fall asleep, notice the postive note in that that I would check and see who was a sewing this early on the east coast. Your tomatoe juice sounds yummy. Shoot, I should have given you my salsa recipe and had you do me some....lol Ahhhh sleep deprivation may be kicking in. Can you imagine what the postate on that would be....ugghhhhhh......lol Have a great morning. Carol Sue

Sarah....I started with the MaryJane apron and have re-drawn it to make a fuller skirt, added a chest pocket, changed the ties...etc.

Bev/ You still amaze me on how you could go and pick the remaining tomatoes to juice, and then make an apron. I have a bunch of apples, that need to used. My son and I picked all the apples on our tree, so that the birds wouldn't ruin them all. The birds would attack one apple then move on to the next. Sometimes, they would put one hole in the apple.
Love the apron.

Saw the post about the lint. I just keep a can of compressed air by the machine. Scares the cats all to pieces, but works like a charm. :-)

I love the halloween apron bev !. I finally got a second apron finished .It is not pretty at all --just all black denim pieces so i can wear it at work and not tear my clothes up.I am way behind in reading this thread as usual. Hopefully i will get to today. I have been putting in 12 to 17 hr shifts this week.

Lisa, how do you manage to have a life at all with those long hours? My dh will be working those long hours since their company won this contract. They are even setting up cots at work for people to sleep on. At least my dh lives close by (only 1 mile from work), so he can sleep in our own comfy bed.
