Autumn,

Oh goodie I get to see the apron up close!! It is awesome...Yes, I want one of the featherweights too...one day I'll run across a good deal although the ebay auction price isn't too bad and they will accept an offer............just not ready to spend that much right now.

Linda and girl gal pals,
Dr today, diagnosis is I have PMR, short version of Polymylgia Rhemutica. What a word, good news is after testing today I do not have the part of it that can give you a stroke, that was a little scary. Mine came from the heavy duty antiobiotic last year, unsure of whether my pain will every truthfully be gone without medication. We have to wait and see. The answer is prednisne in amounts that my body can tolerate to get rid of the inflamation in my tissues. Trial and error and we will get there. I am not crazy!!!!! Okay a little insane, but never crazy!!!!!lol So will continue to do small projects and let my body get well. Strange the things that can happen.

Stepahine and Autumn, I own a Featherweight, give to me by my dear mil. I absolutley love it and use it for classes when I take some and quilt retreat or going places. I love the sound of it. It just purrs along. It is great, my mom found one and purchases it and loves hers as well. She is doing more emboridiery on her embrod machine these days. Hey as long as she is having fun. She is great.
Boy did this one get long winded.....I told my doc I knew something wasn't right when I didn't want to talk because my jaw muscles hurt cause I am normallly a chatty cathy!!!!!! She laughed, me too.

Sew on girls, sew on.....
Carol Sue

Sigh...I went looking for other bee fabric, since a girl can't get by with one apron and I found this wonderful store http://www.hayloftfabrics.com/
They have several bee themes and even a cute chicken wire fabric that would make a cool background for a quilt * hoping around with joy*

http://www.hayloftfabrics.com/photos/1164907710.jpg
http://www.hayloftfabrics.com/photos/1147784256.jpg
And then this on ebay...I WANT that fabric
http://cgi.ebay.com/Apron-Bees-and-Clover-W-Red-Sheer-Fabric-VERY-CUTE_W0QQitemZ200141137424QQcmdZViewItem

I sew mostly by hand, so I'm gonna be one busy little bee

On the official fabric...I like the yellow best, where do we order it? I'm so near sighted, I probably missed the post

=)

Annika....we have not found it anywhere to order. Aunt George works for Hancock Fabric and is looking to order a bolt or 2. I was lucky enough to find some on E-bay and I snatched that up. Will let you know how it goes.

I love the second fabric that you posted.....the one with the bees on the brown fabric......beautiful!!! I am going to have to order that one!!

More new aprons. I have an Americana apron that I am working on now. i am trying to go through fabrics that I have had for a while. These colors are bright, but I love the fall colors. The yoke and pockets on the first two pictures is made from a leaf print, which brings out the fall leaves and golden colors of the print. The other yoke and pockets on the remaining reversible apron is an orange pumpkin print (the print has pumpkins among other things). My mil will be coming in from Arizona in another week, so it is clean up time, and sewing will have to be put on hold sigh.....Then, I have to work on increasing my oven door towel inventory for my show in November, and the show in December.

Denise, thanks for the compliment. I am trying to get sewing done. In fact, I going to be heading back to the machine, so that I can finish up this apron.

StephanieHere are the close ups.
I just wish you could FEEL the old one- so soft and really too fragile to use or even wash again-notice the stains!

This is the other one I mentioned- it is a lot newer but has some coarse feedsack in it as well as a piece of nylon- funny mix but cute apron.

Sharon you are gonna burn the motor out on that machine, girl......whew!!

Annika...thanks for the link....E-quilter is good. Now, that Checkers site is a distributor and you have to buy a fortune worth of fabric I believe....but is still good to look at pictures and find elsewhere. No need to die yet, happy or not. LOL

Autumn, those are great aprons.
Bev., I am hoping that the recent service will keep me going. The machine will have a break when mil is in town. She will be staying at a friend's house, so that will help. I have to keep chugging along.
Bev. You are the one who amazes me with all the aprons that you have done.

Autumn,

Be still my heart!! I knew when I saw the first pictures of that half apron that is was soft shabby vintage and oh so beautiful..Now y'all know I'm so in love with vintage fabrics...will buy them first before any of the new ones when I can afford them...prices have gone up so much since I started collecting 10 years ago!

Thanks so much for that wonderful visual Autumn..I will dream of tonight...LOL

And I loved the other one with the brighter color combo!!
