Kathi, I will mail these blocks from France, how can I pay you for the sending of the ones I am supposed to get? We have one Usa mail address where you can send them, but still I need to pay you for the shipping. Do you have a Paypal account by any chance ? thanks,
Corinne

OK!!I believe we now have 16 participants. Check the list at the top of the page. If I missed your name or put you down for more then what you wanted to make let me know.

If for some reason you can not finish your blocks on time or need to drop out. Please, please let me know ASAP. I know life happens. One day everything is good and the next its not. Believe me I understand.

Remember ladies, the theme is winter. Please try not to use Christmas/Hanukkah print fabric. Snowman, mittens, iceskates, holly leaves and berries, pine trees ect. What ever is winter in your neighborhood. Just not santa and christmas trees or menorahs and dreidels. OK?

So lets get our brains working on a block pattern. Check your fabric stash, and start making blocks!

When you are ready to mail them let me know and I will email you my home address.

Thanks

Kathy H

Hey Kathy,
I was over at Joanns fabrics today, they had a 30% off on their "Keepsake" quilt fabric, so I now have loads of wintery type quilt fabric, not to mention more fabric for other projects...
wahooo, I'm ready to sew!

I made it out today to get my material. Liked it so much I bought extra! Seems I'm always doing that. Looking forward to getting started!

My husband was feeling rather good yesterday so he decided to hang the shelf I asked for last year. I knew if I did it myself he would have been upset.
While he was in the sewing room he noticed the plastic tubs of fabric I have. To me fabric is like potato chips, you can't just have one. Well, I made the mistake this morning of saying I needed to go to Joanns and that is when he told me just how many tubs of fabric I had.
Well, I then in turn told him how many cars he had in the garage. How many motorcycles. The number of extra car parts from bumpers to transmisions. He has enough parts alone to build at least two complete cars. Then of course I had to remind him that it is my kidney that is giving him the strength to work on these projects again.
So with that said, he gave me the credit card and I went shopping this morning.

We always joke with each other. Thank goodness he has a huge heart!

Off to my sewing room now. Tomorrow I go back to work. I should have taken 4 more weeks off.

Sarah,
I'm not sure if this will answer your question but we are putting small pieces together to make a block and we will make 16 separate blocks to send. Our blocks will not be sewn to one another.

hugs,
Denise

Sarah,
Oh no! What you need to do is make 16 blocks. They should be 12 1/2 inches square. These blocks are a pattern you picked yourself. After you have your blocks done, let me know and I will email you my home address. You will then send me 15 of the blocks, you keep one. Make sure to include a self addressed return postage paid envelope. The same amount of postage you needed to mail them to me. After I receive everyones I will swap them all out and you will receive 15 different blocks back. Then, if you like, you can make a quilt top or wall hanging or even a few table runners. Or what ever you want with them. They are yours to do with as you like.
OK?
I am just downloading a "Summer, red-white-blue" quilt I am working on that has blocks that I swapped with MJFG ladies earlier this summer. Check it out. Just remember it is a work in progress.

Ladies,
Thank you all for the complements but remember, I was not the only one that made blocks for that quilt. A number of you ladies helped. All are differant yet they work perfectly together. That is what I love most about these swaps.
I hope you all have a great weekend.

OK, so this morning my husband left early for work, and I had a couple of hours before church, so I decided to go "shopping" in the "basement 'o fabric stash" to see if I could find some fabric for this swap. Oh, my goodness--did I ever find the cutest snowman fabric--and I even found enough others to go with it to make the block I have in mind. Now I can hardly wait to get back from church to try one out!!

It gets dangerous around here when I actually have some free time!!
