I don't have one to trade, but I do own one. We have it in our cabin and I LOVE it!! Especially with a wood stove in the house. We got ours at RealGoods in Hopland California. |

I don't have one either but i sure would like to. All they all that expensive? We have a woodstove and it would be great to have something to hang gloves and things on this winter.

The have these at lehmans.com. They may be pricy, I bought two drying racks from there about 10 yrs ago and they are well built and made to last.

I am bound and determined to make this house work for me.. I will figure out how to do all the things I have been dreaming of doing over the last several years. I will garden, I will get my clothes line hung up, I will decorate the way I want.. I will live the simple, quiet life I have been longing for.. I use handknit dishcloths- a rack like this would be perfect for drying them inbetween uses.. debra |

I love hand knit dishcloths. I also love that rack, it's been on my wish list for a little while.
Debra, what I do is little by little get my house how I want it. Through the year, I keep a list of things I need and want. Then when we get our income tax return I figure out what I want most from it and get what I can with the income tax that year, the next year I will be able to get a bit more and so on. I also tried to start with one room and then another room and so on, so that way at least one room feels finished! lol I did the kitchen first, then the living room, and this year will be the bedroom! :) |

Well we owe taxes rather than get a return- since my dh owns his own business. I use my bartering to get a great deal of my decorating items- that and the thrift stores.. last time I found a handpainted little picture of a shack on the ocean shore.. it is beautiful and at 50 cents. I also found a picture of a little country town along a river.. it is beautiful and will look good over the fireplace.. I found a vintage teacup and saucer for $2. several flat sheets with beautiful little floral prints that I will make aprons out of once we get moved. Sometimes you just never know what a person will part with to barter. Recently I bartered my bulky spinning wheel for a new serger. blessings, debra |

you know you could make that with recycled objects!? You know those accordian style coat racks? I have a couple of them that I hang aprons on....well, find yourself two of them, knock the hang pegs off and put dowel rods in their place, then attach to a shelf and voila! You have one fo those fancy schmancy drying racks! and you didn't spend a lot and you recycled and made it yourself!!

One thing I am going to do in my laundry room is hang a rack from my ceiling. I saved a section of a wooden kiddy safety gate that I thought would be perfect for hanging stuff on. it has large eye screws on each end of the sides. So I thought of stringing rope through them and setting up a simple pully system so I could lower when I needed it and raise it up when I didn't. You could see something similar in the logo of my website- bottom left corner of the logo http://myvintagehome.com It would be a nice place to hang my vintage tea towels to dry.. blessings, debra |

Tasha, great idea. Going to try it. DH hasn't gotten my clothes line built in the back yard yet, so will try this idea. Maybe it will inspire him to get busy with it. Thanks
Peace and love, Annie |
