Where do you fold your laundry?
Do you have a table? Does it gravitate to the living room couch? Do you fold it fresh off the line/out of the dryer?
After a week of being sick, I am a bit afraid to venture into my laundry room. I have about 6 loads of laundry to fold, if not more and about that again to wash.

I fold my laundry as I take it out of the dryer in the winter and as I take it off the line in the summer. I'll do anything to minimize the ironing.

I love to fold laundry and lay it in the large old basket with handles. I love to put it in the washer, and sort it too. I even love to put it away in the drawers and closets. I hate to iron!!! Hubby does a lot of that....:)
I try to take ours out of the dryer as soon as it finishes and fold it warm. The pillow cases then do not need ironing, and DH shirts are much easier to do. I hang a lot of things to dry like panties and nightgowns, and bras. Doing laundry is such a clean job! And neat and tidy - see my OCD now? :)

| I sit on a small footstool, in the living room, and fold on my lap, and make everyone's piles. Will flip on the tv, and maybe catch a soap opera, if I am lucky. Usually I try to fold clothes up a little bit off the line, so they don't get too wrinkley, if I don't get to them right away. Michele |

Sometimes right out of the dryer. But usually I toss it all in the basket and fold it in the family room or the dining room (wherever I can find space). And I always fold the laundry as soon as it comes out of the dryer so I don't have any (or less) wrinkles.

Right off the clothesline to the island in the kitchen. Great area to fold, perfect height and lots of room.

Tasha, I'm with you. Most of the time I will grab the clothes out of the dryer (don't have a clothes line - YET) and dump it all on the bed where it might lay for quite awhile before I get to it. Of course my ironing basket is over flowing, but can't get myself ironing when it's 95 degrees outside and we don't have AC in our house. When there's no room on the bed, I start to fold and put away. Like right now I have a load on the bed and the sheets for the bed are still in the dryer, which is done. This is not one of my favorite tasks - I'd rather clean the house than do laundry. Anyone want to swap - I'll come and clean your house if you do my laundry.LOL.

I love doing laundry! My family makes fun of me because of that but I don't care...I'll say it again, I love doing laundry...lol Like Jeannie, I like sorting it, putting it in the washer and then switching it to the dryer or hanging it on the line and then folding it and putting it away. I generally fold it in the living room in front of the tv or on my bed when I'm at the nanny house. I wish I had a big family to do laundry for because at work and at my sister's place there just isn't much to do.

Usually I fold it on my bed and put it away, on a load by load basis. Less often, it gets folded on top of the dryer and the piles get carried back to the appropriate rooms of the house, again after each load. I've decided that left to its own devices, clean laundry multiplies if it gets left in the basket too long, and boy, do I hate those wrinkles! If I run short of time, I will only do the amount of loads that I can turnaround completely. I do love putting away clean clothes!

I have a laundry basket for each member of our household. As the laundry comes out of the dryer I sort it into the appropriate basket--or I hang up those things that need to be hung up.
I am then able to fold each person's basket and carry it to the appropriate room to be put away.
Mostly what happens is that I fall behind on folding and the kids have to pick through their basket for clean clothes.
It's not my favorite chore. It just seems never ending...

Well I am catching up on laundry today. I have folding station set up on one of our couches and about half way done. I am mostly caught up but have tons of laundry to do all around the house! LOL. Wish me luck!

i hate folding laundry. When my children got old enough I gave the chore to them they like it because it is a chore I dislike so much if they do it right away they get a prize from the prize jar in the kitchen. So something I dislike they love works for me. They fold in the family room as everything else is to tall for them to fold at.

No I am not caught up yet because my washing machine is still broken. It doesn't spin out the dirty water sometimes and then we have to let it sit for about 6 hrs before it resets itself. I called my apartment manager's office again today. Hopefully they will get a repair man out.

Ok.. I am a little concerned with those of you who LOVE your laundry!! Just kidding.. sorta. My laundry room is just off the family room which has a pool table.. perfect for sorting laundry. I fold them loosly and then appoint each person their pile to hang up. The only ironing I do is if there is a wedding or funeral or something of the such. Maybe I have just stayed home too long to "enjoy" the chores anymore. |

Ok I am a sicko too, I enjoy doing the laundry. Especially in the spring and fall when the weather is nice and I can hang them outside and enjoy the breeze when I take them down.
I have a clothesline on my back porch / deck that is retractable it only holds one load at a time so I need to install another one. But when I am folding outside, I do it right on the picnic table and when I do it inside my laundry room is right off the kitchen / family room so I usually use the kitchen table / counters etc etc...

I don't mind laundry except for the putting it away part. It would be easier to put away if my dresser drawers weren't so full so maybe I need to downsize my clothing. Otherwise, If fold the clothes straight out of the dryer or off the clothesline. I love folding laundry when it is cold out. I love hugging soft, warm clothes to myself and smelling that fresh laundry scent. But in hot summer- not so much! LOL

Laundry here is somewhat of a running joke. It is NEVER caught up! I do a few loads every day & still there is MORE!
Even with all that, sick thing is...I LIKE doing it! Especially hanging things on the line & folding.
I find it easiest to fold on my big farm table in the kitchen. For me it's right out of the dryer or off the line. Crisp neat stacks of fresh laundry make me happy. Simple pleasures, eh?

I take it in from the line and seperate it on the back on the dining room chairs. I also take it right from the dryer and seperate it on the dining room chairs. Sometimes I fold it on the dining table, sometimes on the freezer. The table and the freezer are the best heights for me with less back strain.
I fold mine and my husbands and all the linen. The boys fold and put away their own clothes.
