I am on the use it up, make do or do without right now before me make the final move. I have decided at the new home, I am going organic and natural, ie: cleansers, cleaning products, shampoo's, baby products, etc...and I am going to minimilize the amount of stuff I bring into the house. SIMPLIFY!!! I am also going to start eating less processed food and more handmade/homemade items. Looking to get back into my vegetarian cookbooks for some ideas. I figure this is a fresh start so might as well do it the way I have always dreamed of. Any other ideas???
Cheers,
Heather |

I can't say enough good things about organic paint. Possibly wood floors if your budget allows. A friend did the greatest thing in her new house. Before she painted it she had all of her friends and family come in and write good wished on the walls. She took a picture of all of the writting and then painted over it. She says she can feel the love just knowing that her walls are full of love. Congratulations on your new place. Laura

Laura- I LOVE that idea! What a wonderful idea! Literally surrounding yourself with permanent good wishes! I like the idea of reducing things that outgas into the home as well. Also I love having purifying plants in the house, so those items that do outgas can get a little cancelled out.

sounds like a lot of good karma for the new home to me! I took an Environmental Science class a few years ago and for part of our final project we had to design as eco-friendly a home as we possible could. I learned a lot in that class. Bamboo flooring is supposed to be really friendly. |
