Oh, this is so much fun...I looked at all the soap making goodies at Jo Anns this weekend, I am so tempted, but controlled myself. Just started cutting! |

Okay- The chocolate scent did not arrive in time. Instead I will be sending out an Apples and Cinnamon scent.

Since I'm a "natural colorant goobers" LOL ;) (and a fiber artist) the madder root, alkanet & annatto (if available) sound like wonderful items to dye my wools.
Thanks E!

okay, tried it, it was fun, but not my new addiction, sorry...i think if i tried a larger batch of something more substantial I would like doing it better, the kids liked it. We made green rosemary mint with mint and rosemary leaves and then made tiny creatures from a plaster mold with the leftover! It was fast and easy for maybe like party favors in the future, but i think i will stick with my sewing machine and wood tools. Thanks for helping me try something new...jess |

Oh, but Jess - you only tried melt & pour. The real fun comes when you make real soap from scratch!

E, I just finished my mid-year inventory and I found plenty of madder root & alkanet on hand.
Please put these items back up for grabs!

Hi Elizabeth! Mine is in the mail to you today--sent priority, so I would guess you should get it Wednesday. I ended up using cotton instead of linen because when I went to buy it (I thought I had some in the stash, but it was just a little--not enough to make 3 washcloths) the Euroflax bulky that I wanted to get was $17 per skein--and each skein would make, probably 2.5 washcloths, so it was going to end up costing about $95 for the linen. Now, I love you girls, but $95 plus another $16 postage is a bit much for a swap!! So, it was back to the cottons for me.
