This is a small part of my decorator stash. I have been looking for a reason to start using them!!!! I'm so excited too. I thought the prints were too big for mini aprons. Some of these decorator samples have the original prices per yard on the backs...if they were ordered and many run in the 80 to 100 dollar range per yard.....yikes!!!! Believe you me, I didn't pay that for the samples! LOL....thrift store bargain.

So what are the guidelines & deadline for this swap.
I work better with structure for my creative outlets.

Ladies, this swap is Officially Filled!
I would like to get maybe 2 alternates, since historically & statistically one - two will need to drop.
All updates will be made in the first post, that way everyone doesn't need to search for it.

Alee... Chocolate soap sounds great! I have no idea what I will be doing... I was actually thinking of Oatmeal, Milk & Honey..... but I could do Honey or maybe even Lemon Verbena.

Woo-hoo! Got my soap made last night, just in time! It will be almost six weeks old when I ship it, and if y'all are like me when I get my soap swap, I just put it out on a pretty plate and admire it for a good long while before I use any of it...I'm calling it Solstice Celebration and am pretty happy with it. I've made this recipe before and it turned out nicely. I'll cut it tonight and get it to curing. Can't wait for this swap, ladies, and to get the "hand-dids" as Frannie calls them, it will be wonderful! Exictedly, Judy

Where am I suppose to send these? I must have missed the address in the first post? It is so sweet for E to offer prizes for the first to send their hand-dids in. I'm not interested in getting one, it's just this box is getting in the way of orders going out!

I made my very first soap yesterday - just M & P, but I added dried lavendar along with purple color and lavendar scent. Poured them into jello cups and those little carry-out cups you get with ketchup or butter or salad dressing in them. Just little individual soaps, but I think they came out very cute!!
I also got an avocado base for another M&P - any suggestions for an add-in to go with that? I'd like to try a couple more of these before I go on to try to make "real" soap. I'm sort of scared to work with the lye since I don't know what I'm doing--I know I can read instructions, but I also know from reading these threads that instructions aren't always what they're cracked up to be and one person's "safe" recipe is another's "recipe for disaster". Anyone around NW Indiana make soap that I could learn from??
I found a fun, textured cotton yarn that I'm using to make washcloths & bath mitts along with the hemp & linen. I'm making an assortment and will label all of them--it will be up to E to swap them all out!
