Sunshine's washcloths are amazing, I have one and use it everyday and wash it at night, so it is ready in the morning. |

Wow Cyndi, I didnt realize you were ready to ship today. Sign up is not closed yet... SO if this is too big of a swap we will understand if you want to drop out. I also noticed that you are on the dish. Celene/Aunt Rebecca is Godmother to my children, and I am the silent partner in her FO co-ops. My IFT account is still intact after the big corp changes, I guess I buy enough.

Please include me if there is still room. July 30th works great for me. Our soaps are all veggie & contain only natural ingredients & essential oils. We've made soap since 1988.

Aunt George-
I don't know how fair it would be to you, but if you really wanted to participate you could always do something like hot pads or something sewy like! I know I go through lots of dish rags and hot pads when I really get going on my soap making!

Too big of a swap? Not at all! I don't like selling soap less than 8 weeks old so I keep an ample inventory for my retail and wholesale orders.

I heard a program on the radio about a family who decided to just let God decide how many children they have. So far they're up to 16 and mom's pregnant again--they feel that each one is a blessing.
Imagine that! So, dealing with 15 people for a soap swap should be a piece of cake (or maybe the whole sheet cake) compared to what this woman handles every day of her life!!
Since I see we can even do M&P soap, I may even give that a try!

One of my best friends has 10 children of her own and recently adopted #11. The Lord just placed #12 in their household, at least temporarily, and may add his sisters bringing their numbers up to 14.
I love it when they visit, but I wouldn't be in her shoes!! God gave me my 3 (and now my 'rental child'!)
Kathy, I've seen real special things done with MP! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Oooooooo really????!!!!!! As a friend of mine says: Squeeeeeee........really??
Hmmm....now let's see. I could do some fabulous hot pads (thanks for the idea Alee!!!) Cotton with cotton batting? Gorgeous botanical prints or roses or I just picked up a wonderful vintage polished cotton thistle and rose print.....yellow roses. I could machine quilt them with extra cotton batting!!! I have 7 1/2 yards of that one so they would all match. I'll take a photo....I could do two each? Here is the fabric it is a vintage print that is stain resistant and scotchguarded. I think it would make beautiful hotpads. I can use a heat resistant fabric on the reverse side that would coordinate with this one. Actually I have tons of cotton denim jeans for recycling. One side could be the denim and the reverse a this beautiful print.
That would be 32 hotpads? That would be a nice thing for a soaper!!
Thanks for including me. I want to make something everyone could use with their soap making. If there are any other preferences.....just let me know!! Hot pads....I can do!!
If you don't like the print above, I have probably 20 or 30 nice sized cotton drapery samples I picked up in wonderful prints and colors and I could just do a whole garden of different hotpads two of each fabric that could be sent and then let E pass them out in the boxes!! I'll make them tough for lots of use!

I assume Sunshine is making cotton washcloths, so I was planning to make hemp or linen washcloths. I rooted through the stash last night and found both hemp and linen, and patterns for washcloths, bath mitts and soap bags. So, do you all want washcloths or bath mitts or should I send an assortment and let the hostess dish them out??

Kathy, hemp and/or linen sounds divine! Can't wait to try Sunshine's knitted cotton. Aunt George, your fabric stash sounds a lot like my fiber stash!!
This will be fun! Thanks for hosting it, Elizabeth! Why wouldn't we play nice?? Cyndi Muller's Lane Farm http://www.mullerslanefarm.com

Here are some of the fabrics that I'll be using for the potholders:
These are decorator cottons and chintz made in USA and England. Most are stain resistant. Drafting a simple pattern this evening and will get started right away!! I think I may hand tie all of them for a more country feel to them.
