Your grammar is correct on that Kathie!! LOL I seem to have read that you have several different types of fetishes or issues. (hmmm nose rinsing sound familiar? NOT that I am trying to revive that dead horse or anything!) |

Okay it was nose flushing and what was the other thing? I would love a button swap, but this girl doesn't have any buttons drat it!!!!!!!!!, oh I have some older white ones and Nancy gave me some in her giveway. I am not totatlly button deprived. I remember playing in my grandma's buttons as a girl, that was so much fun. Wonder if that is why I like them. It is just fun. Hmmmmm, gonna go put the buttons that I do have in a pint milk jar..... Isn't that the coolest fabric?...it is vintage! I just couldn't pass it up from a seller on Ebay several years ago..had no idea what I would do with it (never do usually, just have to have fabric )..thought it made totally cool aprons. I'm gonna make a full sized apron with too ![](icons/icon_smile.gif)

Hello ladies! I have been reading about the goings on about mini aprons. I am not going to join this swap now but you have made me want to make a couple for my dish soap bottles, etc. Where did ya post some pictures and does anyone have a pattern? Because I sew I could design one miniature of a full size apron but need it to be the bib kind. I have seen them crocheted in cotton fingering yarn too. An answer to this would be great and in the meantime I will still be fishing around. :-) Linda in PA

Hi again ladies, I had an idea! Silly me....Barbie dolls wear an apron in one of her cooking outfits.....saw it somewhere. But looks to me like it is about the same size of the minis you were making....or is Barbies much smaller?? I got to see some and they looked very simple to make. Just thinkin' ... :-) Linda in PA

Okay, we did them 3 inches wide about and 5 inches long. Mine ended up a little bigger cause at the last minute I had to add this cool lace that I found. It just couldn't be helped. Linda, we are going to do a Christmas exchange and Kathie was talking about doing one for Halloween. Keep checking it out or you can email Kathie, just click on her name and up will pop a window that lets you email her. It is great. She is fun to get to know. By the way, in case I didn't welcome you. WELCOME. Carol Sue

Hi Gals! I know this is a new topic but I wanted to throw it out there here. A Raggedy Ann doll and clothing swap! If we did it before Christmas then there would be a special gift for a child or for ourselves!
We could start with a raggedy Ann doll.....about 16 inch...not too big or too small. The size is what matters most...and simple design. Swap our doll and after swapping we keep what we received and go from there into a clothes for her swap. Do you understand it? I guess I am thinking a basic size and same pattern doll would make it easier for participants to make and also get clothes to fit. One doll swap and then an outfit swap after that. We would end up with a doll someone made and then an outfit or two that others made. Starting with a naked doll.... then Raggedy Ann would have to have something to wear! I love dolls so it sounds like fun to me! Linda in the city! PA

you may want to start a new topic for that swap...as it can get very confusing if we have multiple swaps going on one thread. Erin, Bluewrenn has been very good at hosting doll swaps. I would imagine she will probably start another one as soon as the summer doll swap comes to a close. But a new thread for a new topic would be better than ataaching it to Kathie's mini apron swap thread. Just my suggestion and opinion...jess |

yes, I make dolls...lots of them for every little person I know. My kids do to, they are quite accomplished. There is a thread about ongoing doll swaps hosted by Bluewrenn...it is in stitching and crafting as well. She is very helpful and friendly. You sign up and she partners you with someone and you make a mutual deadline. What kinds of dols do you make? |
