I wish I knew how to sew to do something with the black lace, oh yeah, I do, minis!!!!!!!Believe it or not, I hadn't used it on anything......I just quilt, I inherited it from my mil, unfortunately I had given a lot of it away way before I knew about mini's. Drat, or drat.
Kathie, glad you like them. They were fun. Thinking on what in the world I can do for the Christmas ones....hmmmmmmm

Company is gone! Mini's go in the mail tomorrow (monday)...the finish line is in sight! LOL....that is getting them to the post office..boy, I wish I had a mailbox at the house! We just didn't feel like renting a jackhammer to get through all the rock

Carol Sue.. I was looking at yours again yesterday.
Really so cute.. i really like the shape too..
You know.. there is another advantage i have too guys.. We hadn't thought about.. Some of us are doing our aprons identical.. mine for instance are all the same fabric.. but 3 different colors of bias tape.. so it makes them look diffrent.. But SOME of you are making ALL of your all different!!

| oh, i am a little scared of what it might be like, but it was fun to see all those guys doing their job...ya know behind the scenes...and the kids loved it. They could watch the current scene being filmed on a monitor...and they could change the time of day with screens on the outside of the house and the lighting inside. it was very educational if nothing else! It made my house look huge!! And clean for the most part. They used a section of my kitchen where I had shoved all my random crap, I did not think they were using that part, so hopefully it gets cut, because it was a disaster area...how embarasssing. |

Hey, Jessica, that is so cool about you doing a commercial. What is this for? IS this for your business? Tell me more about this. What a boost to my ego that you wore the apron that I made for you. Post more when you can about this. I will have to make an effort to to see this at someone's house as we do not have TV.

I hear ya!!  Between the computer having it's very own Power Surges (guess it got tired of me being the only one having "hot flashes"...woohoo), my AC unit burning up and company twice in the past month I'm not sure what I'm doing!
As of last night I have my Mini's posted on my blog...YOu girlies go have a look see and leave me a comment...gotta get this blog rolling along too. I'm just getting it started and have so many of you to add to my "favorite places to visit". I'll be working on that tonight.

That owlie apron is actually from a vintage apron that was beyond salvaging but had many of the little motifs that I could cut out!!

okay ladies, somehow i missed all this earlier..ha you are all so funny...yes, autographs for all of you!! My family...all of us, and nearly every room of my house was used in the making of a commercial for pbs!!! A 2 minute, a 90 second, and a sixty second! It was definitely interesting...they arrived between 8/8:30 am, and left somewhere around midnight! It is a story line about a family who is way into pbs..funny because we do not have a television! anyway, i should have copies of it in 3 weeks...yes, you can all see it and laugh with us at ourselves! There are several scenes with the kids, so it should be hilarious to watch in 20 yrs. I have been cleaning for this thing for like 2 months. I tell you try to clean and keep clean a house full of 7 kids between the ages of 9 1/2 and 14 months!! I am surprised they did not find me twitching in a corner!! Anyway, I had to play the role of doting housewife and mother!!...duh how hard was that...?...harder than you may think. and the story line was so corny. okay, does that answer the questions for all of you? If not, ask some more!!  |

Thanks for the nice comments Before I discovered the drying rack I passed a vintage dressform that may be from the 20's.
It was almost perfect..and it was the one with the metal(cage, as I call it) that extends from the torso to the floor for I'm sure fitting a long dress and the cage portion could open out to very full to fit a really full skirt...
It made my heart flutter when I saw it  ..the closest I've been to one is an old graphic of it. The owner would not sell it even though it was sitting in this dusty warehouse and obviously not being used  It was calling my name very loudly...I'm such a vintage junkie!!
I'll keep checking back to see if she will sell it..at some point she may rather have the money!
