Don't you think it is fun trying to figure out how we all came up with our User Names? Some are easy to figure out but some... So,idea, what is your user name and how did you came up with it! This is me. BritChickNY. (Grew up in the UK but now live in New York!) Ta-Da!

Heh. Okay, I love the moon, I love foreign languages (though admittedly I am not good at them and am so far removed and out of practice now...) AND it also happens to come from a line of a song by my all-time favorite band when I was growing up back in the '80's (and I'll let those of you who are about my age *cough*38*cough* try and figure that one out, just for fun! ;-) |

Leezard is a nickname of mine. My name is Elizabeth but at the time this nickname came about I was going by Liz. I was in a musical at a community theatre about 9 years ago and a friend who was also in the show would carpool to rehersals with me came up with the nickname from Taco Bell comercials that we'd hear on the radio at the time. If you recall the one with the little dog and the big lizard/dinosaur type creature, the dog would say "Here Leezard, Leezard..." Friends and family picked up on it quite quickly and it's still used today.

Libbie is my real name - sort of! My real name is Anne Elizabeth Osborne Zenger - long, huh? Anyway, I've ALWAYS been called Libbie - from the very first day of my life. Libbie is after my great-aunt, who used to teach school in the very old white rock schoolhouse that I go to Town Council meetings in now. I love to imagine her sprit there with me... It's such a sense of comfort to me when those meeting heat up!
That said - Liz, I, too, have been "leezard" at a few moments in my life! So, of course, I LOVE your username!!!
XOXO, Libbie

Kygurlsrbest...I normally have no self esteem, but after MANY attempts to come up with a user name, this one stuck. Ky girls may not be "best", but they're a-ok! :)

Urban Chick is something I used when I signed up on a chicken bullentin board. It was a tounge in cheek way of saying my chickens lived in the city. So I use Urban Chick for the two forums I go to the most.

My forum name is Alee. In high school my best friend couldn't pronounce my name properly so she started calling me Alee. Then when my nieces and nephews were learninf to talk it was hard for them to pronouce "Alyssa" too so I became Aunt Alee; which ended up coming out as "Aunt Owie!"

Windypines is our farm name. The place did not have a name, so came up with that on our own. Had lots of pine, and balsam trees in the yard. But now we only have one pine tree left, due to storms. So it does not really fit any more. Oh well. Michele |

Well, guess mine is probably one of the obvious ones....I am (mostly was) a bike racer, as in road cycling ( kinda like the tour de france) In fact I am a former national champion in a sport called cyclocross ( mostly european). Before that I was a runner both on the track and 5K. the GRRL comes from riot girl....as I am a pretty wild and crazy woman. I have had that screen name/e-mail for about 15 years.....

I always tell my grandchildren that after I die, anytime they saw a rose "remember that I am with them". I love the song "The Rose" by Bette Midler. It says it all.
Remember me as a rose. |
