I would have liked the 50s too, but I think the 30s and 40s would have been perfect for me.
I think human beings will evolve to have even less hair than they do today since we don't really need it for warmth and protection anymore.
Yes, work is valuable for its own sake. We all need a purpose in life, as long as we find it.
If I were cremated (which I also intend to do) I would want my ashes with my husband too. Some of them spread into our river, some in the chicken coop and the rest at the farm where we hunt our dogs together. When our dogs die, we spread some of their ashes at the farm too.
A perfect rainy weekend is spent home sewing while listening to NPR and/or watching old movies on DVD. There is a blankie involved and good home cooked food.
I'd like to go fishing and hunting in Alaska, Montana and Wyoming with my husband!!

WHAT'S THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE YOU'VE EVER SEEN?
wowzer! that's a tough one to just choose one .. but three places i've been were absolutely 'spiritual' to me .. the first was on the island of maui in hawaii .. we walked through a 'bamboo forest' .. the tall bamboo swayed in the wind and played the most magical tune .. and ended at a 'waterfall' that i swear .. fell out of heaven.
another was on a cruise through alaska .. watching huge icebergs fall and sitting at the very front of a huge ocean liner with only the 'sea' in front of me .. as if i were travelling through space to heaven.
another was an island in Greece .. on top of a mountain .. everything was pristine blinding WHITE .. it was like looking into the clouds and the 'mansions' of heaven.

drugs, alcohol and sex!
ha! o.k. .. jus' wonderin' if you were payin' attention!
the only thing i have trouble at saying 'no' to is when asked to help with community 'things' when i am already burning the candle at both ends. i do love helping the community and rarely say no though .. i just sleep a little less in the night to make up for those hours!

I miss the carefree feeling I had, and how things seemed so innocent at that time, compared to today. I miss going down to the shore with my family and the fun I had at the beach, and the canteens (local dances), and minature golf, the amusement park and boardwalks. Back then, we all played outside with no worries of being kidnapped or fear...and after supper, we went back outside to play until 10:00 pm at times. The simple games we played in which we used our imagination with nothing fancy or electronic to amuse ourselves. Nice memories! |
