Evil Evil Me... making all of you buy up these treadle sewing machines that no one want... E- is for Evil!

I need to get some more of this red fabric, since I dont have enough for the ties. But, I did make the No Frills Frilly Apron.

Comments.... Geeze this takes a lot of fabric for a half apron... 1/2 yard for the body, and 1 whole yard for the ruffle. I do have enough of the cherries to make one more. So there will be a twin.

Ok, look at this:

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.mushycat.com/photos/kenmore_2.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.mushycat.com/wiki/index.php%3Fn%3DTreadles.KenmoreConversion&h=500&w=375&sz=22&hl=en&start=107&um=1&tbnid=h64aKtzEjdjPmM:&tbnh=130&tbnw=98&prev=/images%3Fq%3DTREADLE%2BSEWING%2BMACHINE%26start%3D100%26ndsp%3D20%26svnum%3D10%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DN

don't know if that link will work, but it is an instructional on how to convert your modern machines to treadle power!! Hmmmm.....I might just have to try that. I did find a treadle table and bottom no machine for $25 on Craigslist! Hmmmmm......

And this person uses vegan belts rather than leather belts for the conversion!

BonneWe need to see pictures of this one.... what kind is it?

I have been out bid on this one... but I have a few more hours to run in and bid again.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=130145458732&ssPageName=STRK:MEBI:IT&ih=003

Pretty cool! Huh?

Here in Ohio, you can find them for under $100. So I can use this as an excuse to start buying up more.... Because my farmgirl friends need them. We can start a treadle network!

No frills Frilly Apron
Ok, this one is a total fabric Hog
But, it is cute. I will be making a few changes... ok a lot of changes. I will probably change the waistband next and change the proportions of the ruffle.... basically make it smaller... but I may give it more fluff. It probably wont take any less fabric, but it just feels a bit off to me and a bit unbalanced.

But It is cute and I totally love this fabric... I only wish I had gotten more. A lot more.

Bev, I dont know what it is about cherries.... but I just am sucked into them like a magnet.
cherry
The cherry symbolizes the sweetness of character that is derived from good works. It is often referred to as "the fruit of Paradise" in reference to the destination of those who perform good deeds.

Love that pre civil war Machine! Love it!!!

Hey Naomi,
I know how you feel about missing a day and seeing all these pages when you get back.

Georgann,
I love your pumpkin apron. I've been eyeing the CB fabric and now that I've seen it made up I may just go get me some. Too cute!

E.,
That cherry apron sure is sweet.
