Elizabeth , i really do like that one! i much rather wearing a full apron too.. i always make such a mess in anything i am doing!! this one is perfect.. & i like the idea of it having the two diffrent sides to it.. so it's reversable too then?
Michelle, the baby's Apron is too adorable!! IT looks like a little birthday cake.. So bright & cheery.. i love the Polka Dots!
Sherl-lyn.. did you not hear me lay that egg last nite?? I sat there making the cutest apron yet.. & that evil Serger sat there glaring at me with those evil eyes!! i couldn't do it!! i KNOW!! Everyone tells me.. "once you use it.. & get the hang of it.. you'll be kicking that sewing machine to the curb.." But i am such a big chicken! one of these nites.. I AM going to be the BOSS in that sewing room though!!!

Kathie: That was a VERY large egg, but I laid many myself over the years. So, do not make anything with the serger, just take scraps and mess around. Then you will want to use it. To be fair, you will need a few hours to really learn it and practice though, so don't just take a five minute break and try it. Make it your afternoon lesson sometime when it doesn't matter if you make anything or not. |

Georgann, you get the prize for getting the most out of a pair of jeans. Because of you I have started eyeing up my old clothes in anticipation of re-puposing them into aprons! I can't wait to get some time at my machine. Ever since we got home from vacation I have been so darn busy with planting and getting caught up that I have not even been able to spend any time in my sewing machine.....I keep hearing it call to me. This thread really serves as an inspiration...and I can enjoy it all vicariously for now. Thanks to all you wonderful seamstresses for posting here and keeping this alive. I love all of your creations! Hopefully I will have something to post again in the near future and after seeing all of yours, I will need to get a bit more creative for sure!
Kathie....if you don't soon post your pictures, I am going to have to come visit you just to see all these aprons!
Keep Smiling.....Bev Check out my shoppe at www.honeybeez.etsy.com www.beehavenacres.blogspot.com , www.beehavenmaven.blogspot.com |

"No!! She will NEVER create photo's on the computer!.. Nor can we ever allow her to touch that Serger!! & be certain that she continues to hit that back stich button no less then four times!! Implant finished.. Beam her back down Radon"

Ok.. Yes.. it's a rather "Huge" mungous picture.. but!! I DID IT!!! May be the 1st & last time.. but.. there it is.. Remember? this was from May 14th National Wear your Apron Day!!! So In honor of that day.. I made everyone on my Team wear an Apron to work.!! Even the guys!! & so funny.. Most of them didn't even have one!! So I had to loan most of them one.. But I hade made several for Mothers day for alot of them too!! Most of them are wearing one from my HOUSE!!! Funny Kids!!! Okay..anyone rememeber what I said I wanted to do when I FIN ALLY was able to get this to copy? Who ever guesses me.. Wins the sweetest little Apron that I made!! So.. I guess there will be several that guess correctly.. I will have to put the winning names in a hat.. & draw the winner out! Or I'll have to Barrow Susans Big Jar! So.. Email ME your Guesses.. & we should put a date by of.. hmmmmm.. how about next Friday.. Is that the 8th of June? Next Friday.. All Entries should be e-mailed to me.. & I will check out all the correct guesses.. & post the winner by the following Monday! I'll repost this later.. but I was so Excited.. I just had to tell you all what I had intended on doing with the picture!
Love ya lots! Kathie

Hi Kathie: Glad you were able to finally post a picture!! I am totally rip-roaring proud of you. Now, stop being so modest and make it larger! I have never been able to post a picture of anything on here yet. So you all just have to imagine how cute I am in all of my aprons. See, I imagine myself as a Christie Brinkley and then the pictures tell me Cruella DeVille, so maybe I'll just leave it all to your imaginations... |

Great job Kathie! Took me a while too... I must say...I opened up my email..was going "who is nitegardener?" open the email and..."Naomi!!! go LOOK!!! I have a picture!" haha...so of course..I had to come look... but now you need to make that itty bitty picture bigger...on my screen it only measures out to about 1in by 1in...:(...

Jess.. I thought you were bing sarcastic!! I am SOOO sorry.. & then Sheryl-lyn said that i thought.. yea.. you two are very funny indeed! But I have gotten LOTS of emails.. & now all of your messages.. Duh.. I don't get it.. when i view them.. they are so huge it's embarressing! I thought someone was going to yell at over them being so dang big!! So I did try to do it again on the other Post.. about the Apron contest.. See if that's any bettr.. if not.. I'll just stick my head in the sand & wait on the Aliens again tomorrow!!

That is so cute!! I love cherries, I have my kitchen in cherries and Mary Englebriet prints. Very cute apron. I am going on a hunt for cherry fabric next time I have a few moments up in Shreveport. Take care!! |
