What size bias tape do you all use on aprons? I was thinking of getting a bias tape maker, and they come in 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1 and 2 inch sizes. Which would be most useful in your opinions?

That apple print looks so familiar to me, and familiar like when
I was knee high to a grasshopper.
The tea cup talk got me nostalgic as well. I'd love to go to my Aunt Ruth's
house as she'd serve whatever I was drinking in one of her plethora of single design
tea cups. Oh, that was a treasure~must have been, as I still remember it so well!

Bonne, I just love Alexander Henry Fabrics! These are both from his Juicy Collection

These 2 fabrics I got off ebay... paid a bit much for them, but I had to have them and got 3 yrs of each.

YarnMammaThese are also Alexander Henry Fabrics

"in the Kitchen"
There is another very similar companion fabric that is called "the pantry"
I got the kitchen ones at Joanns last week. I also Picked up "picnic"

The little kids fabrics on pink are usually Michael Miller fabrics. And I also really like Anna Griffith prints too. So know you know my secret to my retro fabrics.

Naomi, were you in 4-H or something like that? Or was it just good parenting that
developed your creative side? LOL I still think of myself at 16, and sure I'd sew & knit this or that, but mainly I was thinking about boys~ROFL!!!

**GASP** **FAINT** Auntie George has NO Halloween fabric??!!!
You should be duly ashamed and must remedy that situation immediately!!!
This is the best time of year to stock up on fabrics not available after Oct.
Do it!! Do it NOW!!!

Bonne! Thats too cute...haha

Naomi, were you in 4-H or something like that? Or was it just good parenting that

Naw, no 4-H for me, its a mixture of good parentiing, family, and ancient history....
haha..lets see..first off..my parents are very creative...also grandparents and great grandparent....my grandfather on dads side has a workshop, and nearly always is doing something, repairs, creating a holder for something, also greatgrandma on moms side would always always be working on something, from plastic canvas, to yo-yos and crochet, and ancient history(dads moms side)...lots of blacksmiths(a form of art(in my opinion)....lots of blacksmiths(lots)...haha...(I think thats why my hands are so big...hehe)....so yeah...except for the first Corwin who was a soldier our family history is filled with artists of some form(atually started as like corvin, derived from corvis, as he had (according to family history), a pet crow that he would take into battle(he was apparently a roman(i think it was roman) soldier, prety cool stuff....hehe
P.S. I totaly did notmake any of this up...grandma has a huge thick book on her sideof the family...way cool...only relatives that i dont like...the Judge Jonathan Corwin way back in 16-1700s was one of the major judges in the Salem trials

It's been a few days since I've posted here-
I did finally work on the bias tape frustration.
I actually made an apron too- my skinny teenager is a hard one to fit but I wanted to take a stab at the 1949 style cutie.
It looks different than ya'lls. Anyone know why?
I followed the directions but must have missed something.
Take a look and pass on that good advice again!
Tnx girls!
Autumn

Here's the bias tape pic too.

Isaiah 40:31

There are 3 styles with that pattern and you did the first one. It's cute!!!
And so is your daughter! The others are from the middle pattern with a deeper ruffle~
that one may have overwhelmed her slim figure, I like this style better on her. ;)

Autumn, great job and thanks for the pattern.
