What fine talent you ladies have. These arpons remind me of my mother. While she cooked for all of us she always wore a pretty apron like these. She also sewed and so had as many as she needed although I don't remember her having many patterns except the ones she had made from paper bags or butcher paper.

Oh girls, I bought two new apron patterns today, so now it is time to get a little crazy....also found more fabric....wooo haaaaa!!!! Now all I need is to sit my butt down for a bit and get to work. Today was crazy busy and no time to sew. Cucumbers and zucchinis are growing faster than I can pickle them, so all my time has been in the kitchen...I should have bought stock in Heinz vinegar.....I have used a 55 gallon drum of it I swear. Well, I did take time to post a boatload of farm pics on my blog (www.beehavenacres.blogspot.com)if you all want to take a tour. I took the pics yesterday, so they are current. Ok, back to work.... Let's see more aprons!!

KATHIE!!! Loved the aprons. They were so nice and homey!! I need that pattern. I am making a new one from another pattern this week too!
So glad you are posting pictures again. It makes it seem like we are in the same room in a way now.
Since it was a dreary, rainy day, I sewed ALL day today!! I used my embroidery machine for a few projects using a new disk I got the other day. I love it!

Well, I have to share with you that I had a wonderful day today. I spent the day at the farm with my daughter and the man I think she may marry and his son. We had a blast. Then to top it off, when I got home there was a package waiting for me. In it were my very own custom home-made apron from my dearest of friends.....Kathie!! I was so very surprised. Thank you Kathie. As I explained to her in an e-mail...you all know how many aprons I have made and I don't ever keep any of them....therefore I have no home-made aprons of my own, until now. It is so wonderful to have an apron that some one else made for me. Kathie....you really made my day!! Really!!!!
So here is a picture of my new apron and my kitty Charlie Brown investigating it. Funny, he has never shown any interest in any that I make....just this one. What I did not catch on camera is about 2 seconds later he pushed against the dress form and sent it toppling over...and off he ran!

Welcome the the fabric hoarder's club, Mima.....I can see it now.....using your ATM card at the grocery store....getting just a little extra change and then blowing it at the fabric store.....don't worry, we know all the tricks!! Get apron sewing....I want to see some new stuff around here.....I am tired of my own aprons! And Mima....you belong on this thread, cause the girls here are just like you....as sweet as they come!!
And E....are you sewing or is soapmaking all consuming right now??? How bout you Nash,Jess and Sheryl-lyn.....are you sewing???

| oh bev...i am so busy and hardly sewing, but will be sewing up a storm after this weekend. I had that commercial, then a huge soccer tournament last weekend, and this weekend, I am having a huge party at my house for everyone i know, third annual and is pretty fun but a lot of work for me...i get my sewing machine out bright and early tuesday morning!!! |
