Aunt George-
Your floral apron is just gorgeous!! I am looking for a specific pattern and wondered what yours is like in the back. I'm looking for one with a strap that connects the two shoulder straps across the back. I can't have a strap around my neck due to a past neck injury, and I don't like straps that fall off the shoulder. Is your's made this way??? If so, can you share with me where to find the pattern??
Again, yours is just gorgeous!!

Carrie, It would be really easy to add a strap to any pattern that has shoulder straps. Just cut a piece of fabric about say 5 inches wide (you can fold it over and sew it and it will be about 2 1/2" when turned) by the length of the strap. (That will depend on your shoulder width) Insert it as a last step in your apron. Put your apron on and have someone pin it in place where it feels most comfortable to you. Be sure to cut it longer than you need it. Voila' an apron with a back H strap!!
I honestly don't think I used a pattern for that one....just did it up. Oh, and I don't think there is an H back, but tell ya what I'll look through my patterns and see what I have!

Oh, and I am so glad that you liked that apron. It is one of my favs!! It was a gift for a friend of mine.

Great apron!! Love that red!! WOW! The pinkeeper is wonderful too. I have one of those tools in my basement too. Is it an ice crusher or a meat grinder? I have both and they look like that. |

That tool is a little mini-grinder. I have them in several sizes...plus apple peelers, cherry pitters, green bean slicers, olive pitters, peach pealers, meat slicers....I went crazy on E-bay a few years back and decorated every available space in my kitchen with old tools.....I really love them! they would look great on your hoosier, Sheryl-lyn!

Yikes.. That Cherry one came out huge.. ! ok.. these next two i made for a girl a work that had specificaly asked for this particular design.. I REALLY liked the way they turned out too! although i am really so fixated on making those skirt type ones right now..I think what I lked more so was the print!
Hmmmmmmm.. The image doesn't come out so well.. They are actually Skeletons! Well more Specificaly.. Skulls! I REALLY like these two fabrics!! But the solid Black & white one.. was just so soft!!

Thank you SO Much my girls!! I REALLY do Love do love this patteren too!! it's the same one that i had let my boss Holly Wear back in the Photo Contest that i did.. remember? she was the one sort of in the center to the left a bit in the black & white striped sweater.. ? the Apron was sort of Rust & White & grey colored..& i'm thinking it was one of My Grandmothers Sister's Aprons! You should have seen me trying to make myself a pattern for it! Now that I have it though.. It's my favorite one to make!!
It's great how it looks so pretty with Vintage fabric.. But still fun with funky stuff too.. like the Skulls!
