What is on everyone's plan for Thanksgiving? We are enjoying our time here at my daughter's. Visiting, shopping, cooking and game playing. My grandson and I walk every morning together. Gives a chance to catch up. Hearing his goals and plans for next year after graduation.
The weather has been beautiful. Cool mornings, warm afternoons.

Good morning Denise!
I have been blessed with a great community here in Loleta.
On as all my children don’t live here in my area, i won’t get to dine with them that day!
It have to awesome place to gather with others.
The one place I am going which I have gone for several years is at the lady’s house that has our Bible Study group. And she is a great cook. Her family is very special too, although less people through the years. The other place is at the Pastor and His wife’s house right after the first dinner. I will be stuffed and enjoy great company both places. An enjoyable day I am looking forward to.
Have a wonderful day everyone and much love to you all!

Hugs
Darlene

Hi everyone and Happy Thanksgiving week! We will be joining some friend locally for dinner and it is always a good time filled with delicious food. I am off this morning for a 10 pound sack of potatoes for my side dish I was asked to bring.

I am thankful for all of you farmgirl friends and the fun and support we have here at our HenHouse!!

Tomorrow I'll do some pre-baking. Then with the goodies going over to my sons for dinner. With the rest of my children and lots of food. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Tomorrow Ed will bake a cake, a recipe of his former wife's, to take to Thanksgiving dinner at his son's house on Thursday.

Then on Friday evening we have Thanksgiving #2 at our house. My son and his family are coming here for dinner. I am fixing another cake, stuffing in the crock pot, salad, Au Gratin potatoes, and ham. My son is bringing a dessert and a vegetable.

Before we leave on Thursday I need to make a Christmas/winter slip cover for the pillows on Dawson's rocking chair. I have some flannel with snowmen on it to do this. I also need to thoroughly clean the dining room and kitchen before Dean's family comes on Friday.

Ed bought himself a new 77" tv yesterday at CostCo. It is now his birthday (Dec 7) and Christmas present. I know, it is huge, right? Well, to put it in a new location in the living room we completely rearranged the furniture and vacuumed under and around everything. I like the way the room turned out. Instead of having to look up (before the tv was on the fireplace mantel) it is now on an indented counter; we can look straight ahead and watch. We cozied up the room and had room to bring in a vintage table of my mother's and 2 mismatched old chairs and set them up behind one of the recliner units. When we put up the Christmas tree, I still need to find room for a loveseat and platform rocker that were my great aunt's.
