I know it is early but since we are with family I don't know that I will be on tomorrow. Wishing you all a day full of gratitude. I am thankful for each and every one of you who are a part of our henhouse. You all make it a wonderful place to be.
Blessings!

Happy Thanksgiving, Ladies! We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia, but I usually do a few special things for my husband since it is his favourite American holiday. We were fortunate to have had an early celebration with his family in Seaside, OR, back in October before we moved.
Interestingly enough, Australia has caught on to the hype of Black Friday sales!! I think it started down here courtesy of Amazon online shopping sales. Now there are Black Friday sales everywhere (and not just Friday - they seem to have been going on for the past month). No one really knows why they're celebrating the sales which makes me laugh, but anyway, any excuse for a sale!!

Cindy! How nice to hear from you. Happy Thanksgiving to your husband. Black Friday sales are something I avoid like the plague. Friday is a day to rest up from Thanksgiving and put away my special things for holiday meals.

I don't participate in black Friday. I think it's ridiculous though I know the reason stores do it, to get out of the red in their sales. But I don't believe they would need to do it if prices were reasonable to start with. Having been in retail I also know they aren't selling anything on this day any cheaper without raising the price so it seems like a sale.

Cindy, it is great hearing from you and glad life is settling in for you and hubby. I am also not the least bit interested in Black Friday and shopping in all the malls or big box stores that are just packed with people. I find it all exhausting!

We had a beautiful warm day here on Thanksgiving and joined friends for dinner outside on their deck. Since then we have had a true cold spell with frost in the rural areas and a bit warmer in town where I live.
