Heather your new babies are so cute, I didn’t expect to see them until closer to Spring.

The twins are one of each - a boy and a girl. The girl is a bit more ornery. She likes to push her brother around LOL!

These two mamas are actually late calving. We had some reproductive issues from feeding to much red clover and they had trouble getting pregnant. That's also why they're crossbreed calves. They have a Hereford dad. I think they're adorable though! Now we don't have any more calves coming until March.

I forgot - how much snow did you get Denise? We got about 3 more inches :) It's so bright out tonight with the moon and all the snow. I LOVE it!

Heather, we got 3 also on top of the original 10. It has stayed cold so none has melted. I love it, feels like we are having a real winter this year.

10!!!! You lucky duck, Denise! We didn't get anywhere near that much from the first round. I'm not even sure if we got 2! I knew it went south of us but I didn't realize it was all in your neck of the woods.

The snow is fun, but now we're going to have a mess! It's supposed to be 34 today so things are going to start melting. Tonight it's going to drop below freezing with some "drizzle and snow" that will switch to freezing rain and ice. I bet the milk hauler is not going to have an easy morning! Then it's just going to be nasty - the temps fall all day tomorrow and the wind is going to bring below zero windchills. Denise is right - we're having winter LOL! We were going to take the calves to the auction but decided to hold on to them for another week. This is no weather for them to be traveling in!

What is everyone up to this winter? I thought I'd be sewing and doing a diamond painting but that hasn't worked out yet. I've been making lots of butter, some soap, and tomorrow we're tapping the maple trees. So much for winter being slow LOL!

Wildflowers, our Mama Hen has asked me to pass along a message. Debbie’s son Kent needs our urgent prayers. The blood work came back and the numbers are not good. He is also sepsis and on a heavy antibiotic. He is back at home and they are watching him closely. Please send up your prayers as soon as you read this, there is power in numbers. Also of course Debbie and Tom need prayers as well. We love you Debbie and lift you all up in prayer with virtual hugs.

A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.

I have updated a few Wildflowers this morning but here is my update for the rest.

He is not up yet this morning. He is up now. He said the pain in his leg is still bad and sadly it will be for awhile.
But as of yesterday evening no fever for 3 days. His leg is still painful and swollen but the inflammation is so much better. His leg is not the raging red that it was. So the antibiotics are definitely working and we are so relieved. Still another couple of weeks before he is feeling better and the infection gone. But he is on the right track.
It is with a Heartfelt Heart that I Thank you all so much for the love and prayers that has been coming his way. So appreciated.

Saturday update on Kent:

He still does not have a temp as of now but he said his leg is hurting worse. Inflamed Reddish Purple color and swollen. This is so not good. Will watch him close today and if the leg gets worse off he will go to the ER.
We will need to keep praying.
Thank you Wildflowers.
