Well, time sure got away from me but happy June! I'm still wondering where May went. I imagine June will fly by just as fast. It seems all time does these days.

We put up our flag for Memorial day and will leave it up for Flag day on the 14th through Labor day.

I had the same impression of May too. Gone in a flash! I will be on a Viking cruise to Eastern Europe from June 8-25. The WiFi on the boat is sometimes iffy but I will try and keep up and check in on things. We are looking forward to this trip. Lots of little details to make sure are OK such as medications, travel clothing needs and other small stuff. It should be really interesting and fun!!

Yes! May went by all too quickly. Hope June last longer, because July and August are HOT here in Texas and I don’t want them to get here too soon. Lol!!

Sorry if posting In wrong spot, but I didn’t see a Prayer thread. My family is being hit on both sides with MAJOR issues and we need ALL the prayers y’all can give ! My Mama’s sister, my 2nd mom, has been diagnosed with a very rare, fast growing, aggressive cancer and doing very badly now. On the other side, the other grandmother to our grandbabies had open heart surgery last week. 3 days ago, she went into cardiac arrest, after 2 rounds of CPR, they revived her and put in a new heart pump. She’s still in ICU. Pleeeeez keep all in prayers. I fully believe praying works, especially in numbers ! I’m not giving these details on Facebook as for their privacy, but have put prayer requests there too !!!
HUGS & thanks so much

Hugs and prayers, Jami. So sorry to hear. I had seen your FB post.

Our henhouse does have a prayer thread, too, if you want to repost there. But I'm sure most people would see it here, too.

So right!! This Year is flying by! It's already hot and Humid here in West Tn. Ill be inside a lot till Pumpkin Season. I keep a jigsaw going. Good exercise for my MS brain, my neurologist says. I did a lot of them during 2020.
I have to go out at sunset and water my patio Garden. School is out and lily June gets to stay 2 days a week with us for the Summer. We don't see her much during school year. She will be in 3rd grade this Fall. She is 8 now and a big help to me!

Walmart has Fresh corn for 33 cents an ear. so I grabbed a bunch. Lily June loves it! I cook it in the microwave in the husk so easy! One of the best things I discovered a few years ago. I saw you can freeze it in the husk by cutting off both ends first. I'm going to give it a try.

Just found out Monday that our new grandson is an overachiever; he cut his first tooth last week - 2 months ahead of what is usual. LOL! He is only 3 months 3 weeks old. I love this picture - looks like he is showing it off!

Ed and I both say he is definitely ready for food, but their doctor says only breastmilk until he is six months old. To us that’s too long for just breast milk. He’s hungry and I think a little more food even if it’s just cereal or something would help him sleep through the night. they are following exactly what the doctor says. I think Dean was on cereal at 2-3 months and he was only 1 oz more than Dawson at birth.

I just googled this and the American Pediatrics says no solid food til 6 months. I guess strained foods are solids ??

Awww, Linda, your little guy is so cute!! It is interesting how every child grows and develops. Some are early and some are late with various milestones.

Well, tomorrow we head out on our trip to Eastern Europe. I think I am all packed except for 1-2 things that go in last. I will try and stop in when I can if I have WiFi. We will return June 25 so once I get my time reoriented I will be back on as usual.

Have a wonderful trip, Winnie. Is this trip by and or by sea? And which countries are you heading to?

We want to plan so many trips. We booked the cruises to Alaska (April 24) and Caribbean (Jan 25); still looking at trip to New Zealand (I've been there and Ed hasn't) and to Jordan and Egypt.

Again, have a wonderful trip!

Have a wonderful trip Winnie!
Take care everyone!

I know - and Ed says it could be that starting baby food too early may have something to do with food allergies. That's just a guess.

We are planning a trip to Michigan in July - some members of Ed's HS class are having a get-together (mini reunion). He went with me to my 50th reuunion back in 2015 and has always told me he doesn't like reunions, so I was surprised when he said he wanted to go this time. He remembers several of the ones that are going to be meeting, so should be fun. We will also be seeing his sister and several cousins of his. Maybe a cousin in Indiana, too.. He is thinking about taking the motorhome (he is also thinking about selling the motorhome, so, we will see). One of his cousins has a trailer and we may go to a lake in the upper peninsula. This cousin is also married to a woman from Panama, and we'd like to plan a trip down to Panama and stay a couple weeks when they are down there - maybe this winter?

My sister and her husband are also moving next week (at least starting their move). They sold their Bay Area home for a LOT and bought a place in northern CA with a number of acreage for half the price. I was a bit surprised, since 3 of their 4 kids (they have 2 each) live in CA (1 in Texas). But they wanted out of the Bay Area, so we will see. They need to be out by the end of June. And now they will have a guest room, so we can visit them. WHEEEE!
