Well I am procrastinating even looking the book over, but trying to learn crochet from a friend, so that may be where I start.

A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.

Heather, that is one of the new badges this year...MaryJane's Better Butter! You've probably done everything for each level already!

I am working on completing the last 3 UFO's on my list for the UFO badge...I call them the Big Three. THIS is the year that they have to be finished!!!
I'm also planning on signing up for 2 classes through our community college for watercolor painting and pine needle basketry so that will go towards the Art badge and Basketry badge.
I also have several that I need to actually apply for so I'm working on that, too.

I am going to apply for the last ones in the sewing and the quilting this year. I have a few to go ahead and apply for to get some sections finished up.

How wonderful to hear everyone’s plan for badges and what you are currently working on.

So, here is a question? Once y’all get your badges and you put them together what are you putting them on or in? How will you display them? I am curious, as I only have one so it is not anything I have thought about yet.

I haven't figured that out yet. But I'm thinking about a wall hanging or maybe a small quilt. I want it to be something I use. I have thought of a tote as that may be something easier to add to as I go along. Instead of waiting to do them all at once.

My plan is to make quilt squares to add them to, and use all of the fabric that I have gotten in the swaps to make the squares. That could be a badge in itself.

I will go through and see what badges I've already done but not applied for and pick a couple more to complete by Monday. Make the list by Monday, not complete the badges LOL!

I still haven't figured out what to do with mine. I thought about putting them on an apron.

Seems I am working on my apron badge. I just finished a full apron, I have never made anything like it! I usually sew everything by hand as me and a sewing machine do not get along. Well, I was issued a challenge by three farmsisters, One cheered me on and said I could do it with ideas for making or repurposing an apron. One sent me a vintage apron pattern to cut out and sew into an apron and the other sent patterns. I chose to make the vintage apron, it is not perfect by any means but I believe it turned out nice. I don’t know how I did it but I made it reversible! My Singer Sewing Machine and I got along just fine!
Have a fabulous week Wildflowers!

Way to go Debbie! I knew you could do it :) I'm so glad you tried it and it turned out for you. I hope you continue to try new things with your machine. My goal for this month is to apply for all the badges I've completed but not applied for. Hopefully they'll accept them being done in the past couple years LOL!

That’s wonderful Debbie! I need to be brave like you and dig out my sewing machine. I know it will be great once I get it set up again, but it’s been so long I keep procrastinating.

There's still time to join the apron swap Wanda LOL! And this is the year of the potholder jubilee. You can't get much simpler than a potholder! (can you tell I'm one of the farmgirls Debbie mentioned ?!?)

Heather I love your enthusiasm and encouragement! I will strive to be ready for the next sewing swap, whatever it is. I am missing out on a lot of fun swaps without my sewing machine!!

I joined the feedsack swap and that seemed to help me get my sewing mojo back! Then I did the potholder swap. Now I am working on the apron swap. I had a bit of trouble with my machine at first but then I did some maintenance on it. I had not used it for a year or so. Next I want to finish my sewing, crochet, knitting and quilting badges. Knitting is the only one I am not proficient in. I've been doing the rest since I was a kid. The only thing about the badges is, they are supposed to be made in the year you apply but I have worked on lots that I just didn't get around to applying for yet. I have quite a few badges I need to embroider and then I need to stitch them onto quilt squares I think or some way to display them.

I'm working on my butter badge. Funny thing is I'm already doing the intermediate and expert level things but there's some research to be done for the beginner level LOL! I'll be posting my stuff sometime this week and applying for my badge. I'm terrible at that part of it.

I have contacted Brian to find out about a badge I have a certificate for but no badge. I think I had it downloaded but no longer have the computer I was using back then. It's been awhile. So I will wait for a reply and then get organized. I remember when we did the bag swap.
