Good Morning Wildflowers are we ready to start working on our badges for the New Year?
Will we work on the same one together or one of our choice. Most of you are further along than I am, I have finished only one so I would be starting at the beginning. Others may not want to work on some of the newest ones.
So, let’s hear some ideas and suggestions on how we want to proceed.
And if one of you would like to take lead on this since most of you are more advanced and have more knowledge than that is great too.

So, where shall we begin?

Big Hugs,
Debbie

Hi Debbie! I have been working to outline my plan for badges this year and am almost there with a semi set-up plan. I'll be posting what I am looking to do within the next day or two, if all things go well :) Hopefully this will give others an idea of where they may want to start :)

Thanks, Shannon! I’m looking forward to seeing what you are wanting to work on. I need some inspiration! Haha. I need to go through my badge workbook and see where I left off. I found a bunch of my notes today for badges I was working on. I’m hoping to have a little quiet time this week to do that.

Debbie I will be looking over the list and let you know. I printed off the manual years ago, and I’m sure things have changed, so may have to update. I am looking for inspiration from our other farm girl sisters.

I have to look in my book and see where I left off. I printed everything ages ago and put them in a binder. I have to see which ones I still need to print from the new ones. It will be good for me to outline a plan for this year. I have to get a section made for the ones I've finished and start getting those embroidered so I can get something made from them.

If you're able to I highly recommend buying the planner from Mary Jane. I received it as a gift last year and it's wonderful! It has all the info with room for notes in a cute little binder.

My problem is that I do the work for the badges but don't apply for them. I need to go through my binder and fill out the forms for what I've already finished.

After reading everyone's post my suggestion is that we take the next couple weeks (or this month) and have everyone make their own list of what they've already finished and what they would like to work on - maybe choose your top 5 or so for now. I don't know who all the wildflowers are or how many want to work on badges, but maybe we could just rotate around and a different person can pick a badge each month. If it fits with you that month do that one. If not choose a different one or maybe you need a break that month. That way it's not stressful but we can work together?

I think I will order the badge book as well. Its been so many years since I printed it, I’m sure there are many changes and additions.

I ordered my badge planner. After I get my swaps done I am going start concentrating on working on badges. I can't keep focused enough to do swaps and badges.

I still haven't went through and made my list yet.

Shannon - that's a great goal! Even if you didn't get any done in Jan. looking at your list makes me feel like a slacker LOL!

Hello Wildflowers, I got an email from Brian yesterday that my Badge Book is updated and on its way to me.
I will wait until it arrives to see what badge I will start. But, I do know that I will only be working on one a month as I still want to do swaps on the main forum. Plus I am slow and so unorganized, living in limbo is no fun, I want our new home so I can unpack all my craft boxes and set up my craft room. So I will wait and see.
But, I am so happy to have us all working and supporting one another with our badges as we each work at our own pace and individual badges of our choice.
All of you rock and I am so Blessed to be a part of the Henhouse where we work together.
Thank you all.

Big Hugs,
Debbie

Denise, it looks like there are 138 different badges. If you multiply by 3 for the 3 different levels, it comes up to 414!!!

Working on my badge list. After reading your plan for 2022, Shannon, I had to go take a short nap ;) That's a really good mix of badges to work on. Do you usually apply every month or every couple of months? I have several that I finished and have yet to apply for. I will put that on my list to do, as well.

Until Shannon have s feeling better again to lead us on our badge journey I can check in and see how y’all are doing and where you are at.

I wonder if Shannon was able to finished her February Badges and started working on her March picks.

I will work on my second crochet badge and see how far I get. These next couple of months will be extremely busy ready to move into our new forever home, then unpacking.

How are the rest of you doing, would you like to share your progress, lack of progress or anything in between.

Big Hugs,

Complete slacker here! I've been so busy with other things I haven't done any badge work. Although I should look - making butter might be a badge.
