Winnie Nielson's is on the 7th
Bonnie Ellis's is on the 8th

Oh my goodness!! A birthday box of fun goodies arrived at my door last night. Thank-you Sherry, I love all the sweet goodies you sent! Here is what the box contained: a darling little bag with some very nice soap, a little sample lotion, some fun bday kleenexes for my purse, a red check kitchen towel , this card with a pop up birthday cake, and this neat cake mix with icing that you make in a mug in the microwave!! I can't wait to try that out. I have always wanted to try out the idea. It sounds very easy too.

Oh Debbie, your wonderful and thoughtful package arrived today before the big storm that hits tomorrow morning between 4-8am. Just in time!! I love that vintage wooden handled whip and the darling Red Tractor quilt piece!! Thank-you so much for both of these awesome items and I can't wait to try out that whip soon!

Thank-you Judith and Debbie for the sweet birthday cards today! Even with a bad storm tomorrow, I plan on having a wonderful birthday.
Sherrie, tonight I couldn't wait another minute and tried out my cake in a mug mix. It was so easy and delicious!! Warren and I took two ice tea spoons and shared the treat for dessert. It was my first experience with these easy mixes and I will look for them because they really do make a fun and different birthday gift that anyone can make. Thank-you again! |

Thank-you Connie for all of my wonderful surprises today!! It felt like Christmas morning in hot July! I am going to enjoy using everything and making those cookies and Werther caramels vanish!! LOL!! Here is a photo minus the cookies which we accidentally ripped the bag and then Hubby and I ate most of them! LOL!!

I forgot to post my photo of my birthday goodies! In this photo is also an Amish doll pattern that I am excited to make. Connie made me a copy of hers and I think it is going to be fun. See the cute paper garland on the logs? It was originally on the birthday card but I took it off to hang down in my sewing area. There are two small vintage postcards propped up beside a patch of cute bee stickers. The postcards show a copy of a Western Union
Telegraph message being delivered. One of the cards has a sweet holiday message to a family member too. Many things like the kitchen towels , hand soap, and the Pepperidge cookies all have this Farmhouse or Farm theme about them which was so fun!

Well, Linda, You completely outdid yourself today!! Originally we were just Dotee swap partners over in the main Chatroom. But today, a box arrived with a birthday denim apron that is just the cat's meow! Then she included my FGOTM goodies too and they were these adorable Bee things. There was a pair of salt and pepper shakers , this really cute bee jar opener and this neat crocheted holder to put on your oven door to hang a towel in. It really felt like Christmas in July this afternoon!!
Here is the Dotee doll she made for the original swap.
Isn't she adorable? She also has a back pocket with an apple in it too!! the darling buttons along the front of her dress are lots of Farmgirl loves like chickens, growing things, pumpkins and a sewing machine. So , so cute!
Next up is my denim apron she made with vintage print trim. Perfect fit too!!
And finally here are my Bee goodies and the crocheted towel holder for being FGOTM January.
Boy, was I surprised today to find all of these wonderful handmade gifts from Linda!! Thank-you so much!! |

Thanks, WInnie. I figured I'd just send them all at once. I'm glad you like the items I made.
The thin red ribbon around her neck was just to keep her hair from tangling during her journey from Texas to Florida. I wasn't sure how long the trip would be, since in the fall a package I sent to Winnie took a 2-week or more side trip to Ohio. LOL! |
