Lily June is so cute! Did she eat one blueberry for each one she put in the bucket?

How fun, I used to take my youngest daughter Blackberry picking when she was still in the stroller. she learned fast which were the best berries to pick and her little face had berry juice all over it. So neat.

Connie, Lily June is precious! What wonderful memories you are making with her! I am going to have my granddaughter all day today. She is 19 months old. I am thinking about taking her into our county fair that opens today and seeing how her mama's entries did in the foods building and let her look at all of the lambs and pigs.
Did you grow your moonflowers from seed? Or did you buy plants? I have 2 packages of seeds. I didn't get them planted this year. Do you know if they are hard to grow from seed?

Ed and I just left Sara’s house. I took her a late Christmas present and a few felted sweaters I had that I knew I wouldn’t be using any time soon. She can use them for some of her projects. Over on the What are we working on thread I will post pictures of some of her felted projects. We had a nice visit and a nice cold glass of tea.

Sara-I didn’t get a picture of your beautiful sheep - I will next time.

About 75 miles. We were in Greenville for my Dr. appt and so we only had 58 miles to go. LOL! I sent an email and asked if she was up to a visit before we dropped in on her. I'll photog the sheep next visit. LOL!

Thanks ya'll! She keeps me fighting the pain every day!! She is 4 now!
Marilyn, she and Mommie ate their weight in Blueberries!
Debbie, that will be so fun to take your granddaughter to the fair. Ours comes Labor day weekend. My aunt started the moonflowers from seeds in March. She always shares with me, But I sowed some directly in the ground, that bloom was from those I put in the ground. I soaked them overnight first.
Linda, what fun to get to see the yellow Rose cottage again. Sara and it both are adorable!!

I have been wanting to visit Sara since November - and it finally worked out for both of us. I told her I'd take pictures and post for her and she could describe them. She does beautiful work - all by hand. We always have a good visit and it is always nice seeing her.

Successful day at an estate sale. Two bib aprons for $3 each. Both were homemade with machine embroidery. One apron has 4 pockets which will come in handy.

Four pockets, you will enjoy that. I made myself some denim aprons from my son's ripped jeans. Two of them have double pockets. I cut around four jean pockets, two for each apron. When I sewed them on each apron it did not enter my brain to cut away the back of each pocket. So now I'm glad I have all of those pockets, although I still lose my phone...as it goes off I'm looking in pockets. When I'm watering the garden or horses the extra layer of denim keeps my phone dry.

Such cute blueberry pickers! We have been picking a ton of raspberries. With all the rain we've had they are huge! So glad you found the aprons. The price sure is good.

Saw mine owl last night and it's been a long time since I saw him but I do hear him from time to time. This morning I made my rounds of the front yard checking on my plants. As a habit I also check the street in front of my home for any fast food trash or beer cans to pickup. No trash this morning but there laying in the gutter was a large bird feather. Bold brown and white stripes. I now have proof mine owl is a barred owl.

Aprons are always useful, Sara, especially with nice pockets. I love estate sales, but if - no when - we go to them Something always comes home with us. I need to STOP it. LOL!

Oooo don't we
all love pockets!!
Marilyn, I lose my phone daily!! That thick pocket will be nice!! Linda made me a blue Jean apron! Cowboy fabric!! Everyone who sees it loves the pockets! I think that is such an awesome idea. I only have a craft machine it won't sew that thick material.

Sara, I heard my barn owl last night, whooing and whooing!
The heat is back TODAY. So no more lingering outside for me. Im so thankful for the break in the heat we all had!! Woukd that be BlackBerry Winter? Growing up my Granny would say that if a cool air came in July.

Connie.

Linda, when I go to estate sales I head for the kitchen and keep telling myself I don't have much room at home for more new stuff so only buy #1 what I will actually use or #2 have a place for. I see a lot I want but I have learned to leave it there if it doesn't meet my two rules.

Connie the heat is back with us too. Cool breaks are nice.
