I have my Jubilee wool patchwork banner ready to stitch. It's a easy project so I have put my wool sheep aside until I have better days to work with the wee pieces of wool yarn.

It's a scrappy banner so I was able to use wool scrapes I had on hand. Love projects that don't cost money.

I agree Sara, projects that don't cost money seem to be the most fun!
Staying in and doing chores. Then working on my ufo's today.

I worked on my swaps yesterday and again this morning. At 10:30 I got a call asking me to house sit for my son because the refrigerator repairman was coming. The guy was supposed to come at 9am YESTERDAY!!! At noon I called Giffords appliance to ask where he was. At 1:30 my son came home to make a sandwich. Still no repairman. So he called him. The guy said he would be here in ten minutes nutes... Ha Ha Ha!!! Thirty minutes later he comes up the lane, turns and goes to the barn, then back to my house where he did a circle turn before heading to where he should have been many many hours before! I was so happy to see Julie at 3:30. I came home and fed my hens and roos. What a wasted day!!!

I just finished my youngest daughter's request for leg warmers. Going to get them in the mail along with an early Valentine greeting. Then I started my first baby hat for my close friend's son and daughter in law. Their first baby is coming mid-March and they live in Toronto so there will several months of cold to cool weather for a newborn size hat. I have never made a hat so small and it is fun!

Winnie - I'd love a good and easy pattern for leg warmers. I'm with Marilyn - are they knitted or crocheted.

I need to sort through my 100s of UFOs and decide which to finish. Usually I squeeze between so many NEW projects that I can't get those I pulled out finished. LOL!

I'm glad to hear Rex is getting better, Connie. Keeping the prayers coming.

Marilyn - I really dislike repairmen arrival times. They RARELY get there when promised and we have to spend an entire day waiting for them.

The other thing was his little van had no markings on it. The other vehicles the company has are all marked well. So I guess it is brand new!

I am almost finished with my last of 12 applique blocks for a quilt that I started a long time ago. One of my goals is to have it finished this year. I had thought I was getting to the home stretch but looked back at the pattern and remembered that it also has applique on the borders, just not as much as in the blocks. Hopefully it will go faster.

My legwarners are done in the round and are very easy. Cast on 44 stitches and divide between 3 needles( size #8). Work in 2 x2 ribbing for 2 inches, then plain knitting for 6 inches and finish with another 2 inches of ribbing. The ribbing is K2, P2. You can make these warmers as long or as short as you like. You can also use different weights of yarn and larger or smaller needles. Just be sure to get the gauge correct: 14 sets and 18 rounds+ 4 inches of straight stitch. They work great to keep ankles and the top of your feet warm when it is really cold outside.

Sounds easy, Wininie. Is that with worsted weight yarn? They do sound warm.

Sara I would love to read! Everyone is sounding productive. I need to go through everything, all my sewing and puzzles and paper crafts. I need to make a list of what I actually want to finish. Get rid of what I just though was a good at the time. I just knitted 16 Valentines dishcloths, 2 for each of my 8 adult children. Like Linda I tend to always start something new. And of course I always am reading several books. Going to a Scrapbooking weekend so many I can get som things accomplished. Maryellen
