Connie, I was looking at the radar map...I did not know that you live not far from Jonesboro Arkansas. I believe my brothers son was born there way back in the 70s.

They lived up in Pocohontus Ark.for a couple of years.
Ma Bell sent my brother up there to fix the phone system.

Arkansas is a pretty state. Pretty lakes with clear water. When we were younger we use to go to Heber Springs, Arkansas a lot.

Working on putting some quilts together. I have 4 tops to put with batting and backing and get quilted. Two of them are going to go to my grandsons for Christmas.

Finished the chair pocket yesterday so now on to planning another wool applique project. Found a pattern for a round table mat with apples that will be great for fall and our Apple Festive in Sept over on MJF.

The mat is 18" circle and that much wool is way too expensive for my budget. It would cost me $30 plus shipping. So I ordered craft felt on Amazon Prime. Seven colors - 18"X18" for $11.59 - no shipping. For the base I think the craft felt will work just fine and I will have six colors for other project bases.

My order should be here on Tues and I can see what greens, reds, and golds I have in my stash for the 12 apples will go with the craft felt. Three of the craft felt colors will be good for the base. Hope I have all the colors I will need for the apples.

Sara, I agree! Wool is expensive. Unlike regular fabric, when I will toss small scraps, I SAVE every little piece of wool and have it sorted by color in bags.

Here are some of Sara’s felt projects.

There is a very camera shy person behind 2 of the projects. LOL
She was nice enough to gift to me the one with the crow and pumpkins. Thank you, Sara.

Thanks Linda for posting pictures of my work. You did real good!

1. The chair pocket I finished the other day.

2. A wool pattern but I used patchwork fabric from Hobby Lobby. The rabbit's tail is made of wool yarn Jill on MJF gifted me that she spun.

3. The bee skep and crow hangs in my pie safe.

4. The chicken I am holding is usually draped over a dome lid basket.

5. The crow and pumpkin was one of my first projects. So happy Linda is happy with it.

6.The patchwork banner I made for our 2019 Jubilee.

Sara, I love those darling chair covers that you create!! Each one is fun, cheerful and they add a wonderful homey touch to your dining room table too! Linda, I am so happy you get to visit Sara from time to time and then take photos to share with us! It makes it easier for all of us to "visit"with Sara too.

What am I working on??????? I have several piles of things in my Log Cabin and this afternoon, I plan on attending to each pile and make it GO AWAY!!
